I just came back from Boracay and I found a really good burger place inside D' mall in Bora.  It's called Bite Club.  They've got 1/4, 1/2 and 1 pound flame grilled burgers that are excellent.  What made this place different were the mozzarella stuffed burgers.  Those come in 1/4 and 1/2 pound patties.  I had a 1/2 pund with hickory bbq sauce and it was amazing.  Imagine the stringy cheese feeling you get from a pizza but in a burger.  Champion talaga.  I belive they have an outlet in katipunan so I'm gonna have to make a field trip one of these days and find it.
