Is Ben Simmons the real deal? The dude has a high basketball IQ. Knows when to pass and when to slash. His deterrent is that he has no mid to long range jump shot --- but he can slash. At this early, color commentators are already saying that he is the next complete rookie after Oscar Robertson and Lebron James. But I wonder if teams will clog the lane, would he be able to still finish or use the court vision to pass the ball? But he is tall for his position. I think he will still be able to see the court clearly even if teams gonna double team him.

 

Barring injuries, it seems that Simmons and Embiid are the next coming of Magic and the Captain (Kareem). Most especially if Big Ben develops an outside jumper.

i think so .. ben has very very good handles for a 6-10 player. He has good court vision, we all know shooting can be improved (Lebron is a good example); teams have tried to clog the lane and he just passes to a wing guy (Covington) and sometime embiid on the outside ..

i lost faith in the FO when they traded MCW. this team couldnt go against Globalport back in 2012, the got MCW in 2013 and did a coupke of decent seasons then they threw him out. Damn stupid move.

Embid shows potential but hopefully he doesnt become another Greg Oden na bagito palang puro injury na.

Really? Too bad. He was great for the Bucks last year. That's the reason why he won Rookie of the Year award. Actually he's projected to be the Bucks starting PG for this upcoming season.

i know a few FAs that play when theyre in the US and Europe .. thats one way to get ahead

im in the states. if Ingress is available there same maps apply in PoGo, for pokestops and pokegyms .. residential areas dont have much pokemons, theyre usualy in high traffic areas

be prepared for battery death, app freezes and if using ios you have to disable LTE settings ... otherwise its good. if you get an eevee naming it sparky evolves it to jolteon, rainer you get a vaporeon, pyro you get a flareon ..

Think of it as their initial impressions....honestly, I don't believe this....after all....look what happened to Johnny Manziel.

the grades are based on film, college performance, combine scores, workouts and a writen test (wonderlic i think)

but still a hit and miss process. most if not all teams employ sports psychologist to gauge mental state/toughness ...

manziell is an outlier, his performance and measurables were good, but his mental state of mind is apparently bad. hes out of the league not because of bad play but bec of what hapened outside of football... like alcoholism, domestic abuse

Maybe the Lakers will now bring in Sam Hinkie to start "The Process" in L.A.

They should, if not him some other GM w background in advanced analytics, Lakers are notorious for being the most old fashioned in the NBA when it comes to talent evaluation. Theyre banking on free agents lured by the Purple and Gold.

Hield isnt an efficient scorer, he will score 38 pts on 20 shots ...

the PG wasnt an issue, maybe they shouldve kept Ish SMith, but the goal is to develop new talent

TJ wasnt so bad, he lead rookies in assists

i'll agree. if there is one player who wants the ball in his hands when the game is on the line, it is kobe. you could see the frustration on kobe's face after the game.

the more the Lakers rely on Kobe the slower the team can develop into a real contender, Kobe is ending his career.. the Lakers need to face the fact that Kobe wont be here forever .. he chucks up 24 shots per game .. maybe share some of those with DAR who they drafted really high and is now being considered a bust
