  1. yea... thanks =) i guess may mga bagay need pag-daanan bago magkarealization. she doesn't ask me to do anything... lam ko lang na part of the package deal syempre is to take care of her family... it was never said, but one can simply generalize n kasama =) anyway, nashare ko lang naman... i know what im getting myself into. hehe...

diba her problem becomes also your problem? and vice versa?

  2. OMG, 75t? Overpriced! I guess there are import duties to pay, pero ang alam ko bumaba na ang duties from the US for electronics eh. Sa US kasi, it's being sold for anywhere from US$ 900 to US$ 1,300 depending on how high end the specs are (for example, the RAM can be upgraded up to 8 gig.) If it's P75,000 as described above, well that's overpriced.

yes it's 75k - well the 23" touch screen alone costs about 25k to 30k - it's available at Abenson/Electroworld and Accent Micro. btw, are you sure about the processor? the brochure i got says Core 2 Duo T6600

  3. gud am.. mmm... by updating windows mbubura n ung virus? db still in the system un? i've tried 2 search through the net about that prob and finding solutions karaniwan dun cnsbi use hijack tpos post ko ung log den cla magaanalyze kung alin ung tatanggalin. bka po my ibang nakakaalam kung panu tanggalin un with out using hijack pra din malaman ko. 4. question is, since my GW IP is on the router, does the my modem have an IP or not?

eto po ulit IP Block ko.

    111.222.333.10/29

    111.222.333.10 - Network IP

    111.222.333.11 - GW ko

    111.222.333.12 - .16 (5 PCs)

    111.222.333.17 - Broadcast IP

    - Pero Sir I TELNET my GW (111.222.333.11) to change the configuration of my MODEM (DNS, USERNAME, IP ETC).

    Thanks.

who gave you your IP block (111.222.333.xxx)? is the Network IP you're referring to the IP of your router?

seems to me your modem is also a router. since you're telling me all your PC's have the same gateway. yes your modem has an IP which also happens to be your PC's Gateway - that is, 111.222.333.11.

  5. I need help

I have two PCs, the other one got fried (yung mother board), tatangalin ko yung hard drive nito

How am I going to do that. I have an external hardrive thingy using USB can I use that, ganon po ba yun? when I used an external drive gizmo, hindi lahat ng files nag appear yung mga files sa My Documents ng PC na nasira di nag appear.

you can either attach the HD on the working PC - am not sure you can use your external drive - is it the same size to begin with? is you HD SATA or IDE? is your external drive using SATA or IDE? they have to be the same size and port.

got confused on your second paragraph - where you able to use your HD on your external drive? first, turn on Show Hidden Files and Folders. locate for \Documents and Settings\[login name]\My Documents

    hope this helped

  6. pasensya na mejo baguhan lang.

    i have a Plain modem & a separate router..

    for example i have

    WAN: 333.222.111.20/32

    LAN: 111.222.333.10/29

    Modem -> Router -> PC

    - so you mean yung GW ko na 111.222.333.11 is IP ng router? so if i ping 111.222.333.11, im communicating with the router?

    - and yung IP naman ng Modem ko is 333.222.111.20?

Kasi po sometimes when I do a standalone connection, I connect 1 PC directly to the modem & naka OBTain IP ako, when I check on IPCONFIG, ang GW ko po is 111.222.333.11

    Thanks.

On your router, for WAN port, set it to obtain mode and for LAN port, you can set it up so you can use DHCP. By doing so, you don't have to manually set the IP on your PC since it will always be on obtain mode. The router will automatically assign you an IP and sets the gateway - which is the IP of the router. NOTE: The gateway is almost always the IP of the router - almost always because there are instances where you need to set it blank.

  7. question lang po..

pag meron po akong ip block for example 111.222.333.10/29

naiset ko na po sa modem & router.

    gateway ko po is 111.222.333.11..

    salams

I assume you're connecting a router to a DSL modem? Is your DSL modem a plain modem or a combination of a modem and router?

    If it's a plain modem:

    Modem: Do not change anything.

Router: IP and Gateway should be what you were assigned with (WAN) and then you can choose an IP from your IP block (LAN)

PC connecting to Router: IP is from your IP Block and Gateway is the IP of the Router

    If it's a Modem/Router combination:

Modem/Router: IP and Gateway should be what you were assigned with (WAN) and then you can choose an IP from your IP block (LAN)

Router: you really don't need this - unless this is a WiFi?

PC connecting to Modem/Router: IP is from your IP Block and Gateway is the IP of the Modem/Router

Of course, if you're using Router as WiFi point, the configuration is different.

  8. greetings

-i accidentally unplugged the wires on the motherboard side connecting the 2 front usb ports, mic in, headphone ports on my desktop pc, and i dont know how to properly plug them back.

-i was cleaning the pc and i thought that the plug was 1 solid rubber block but it turn out that each wire had their own separate plug

-my problem is that i dont know the configuration, color coding etc.. of the wire and pins on the motherboard

and im afraid that if plug them wrong i might damaged the motherboard

-i dont see any marks or sign on the motherboard side pins, telling me where to plug the wires

-the plugs on the wires are properly marked telling me which one is for the power, usb, mic headphone etc

    - are pin configuration on my motherboard are the same on all brand of motherbaords?

can somebody help me? thanks and i will appreaciate it :hypocritesmiley:

almost all motherboard have the same headers - of course it is best to consult the motherboard manual always - i assume you have lost yours? if you know the brand/model, you can go to their site to download a softcopy of the manual

anyway, if all things fail, you can consult this link: http://www.frontx.com/cpx101_2.html - again do this as the last resort - i have experienced several burnt flash drive and portable drives because some smart technician failing to "read the manual"

  9. eto para sa inyo

    sagutin nyo ha

    pwedeng magdiscuss

hehe ... tricky ... A must be gong down the escalator going up ... and B must going down the escalator going down ... but still there are steps hidden inside so i really would not know how to calculate this :)

  10. guys tanong lang...pag nagdownload ka ng games diba naka zip or rar siya tapos divided by parts? Pano ba pagcocombine yung mga yun? Detailed instruction naman po please.Salamat ng marami.

for zip or rar, you only need to open the file with either the extension zip or rar and winzip/winrar will locate the rest of the files and "merge" them as a single archive. they just have to be on the same directory.

there are some "splits" that use other file splitting programs such as hjsplit - in which case, the files must be combined first using the same program used to split it. same as above, you have to have those files on a single directory before you use the file plitting program.

Merry Christmas to one and all ...

    Intel p4 1.8ghz s478

    ecs p4vmm2

    inno3d fx5200

    1gb RAM

I believe above specs is sufficient enough to play dota.

Note: bagong format lang tong pc all fresh install

are you running background tasks such as an antivirus programs, etc.? there may be other tasks that's eating your CPU more than foreground application. If you have a lot of items on your notification area (the area where the clock is), then chances are, you have alot of applications running at startup.

there is a tool called TweakNow, that can help you optimize your PC. the link is at http://www.tweaknow.com/.

  12. mga bossing, is there a way to link or stack 3 PC's so they would work as 1 computer? Is there a sit with do-it-yourself steps? thanks po

I really don't understand what you meant by "link" or "stack". I assume you have 3 PC and so I have 3 different answers.

    1. If you mean you want to use a single monitor, keyboard and mouse to access the three computers, you just need a KVM.

    2. If you mean "link" as in what ever you do in one PC will be replicated in the other PC's, then there are softwares available to do this. If it's just data, then there are replication software available - a feature that's already built-in in some Windows Server versions.

    3. If you mean you want to have a process run by two or three computers at the same time (parallel processing?), then you may need to write your own software for it (to some extent, design their own motherboards). Most setups I've seen for said purpose were done by students for their thesis.

At this day and age, there are Dual Core and Quad Core processors, Crossfire setups for video, clustering for data, and so forth, there are less reasons for having multiple PC's to run an application. Unless I know what need it for, I can give you a more definitive answer.

    Hope this helps
