Somebody posted here or in another thread yata but i'm sure the location is in ongpin that there is a teahouse/restaurant that gives 50% discount on all their dimsums starting 9 pm after an employee rings a bell. Does anybody remember the place? Been reading through the restaurants in ongpin, best siomai and best noodles but I can't seem to find it. Help naman. Paging all those that don't have memory gaps yet.

Tried Wah Sun (Special Fried Rice & Crab Meat Fried Rice, Pancit Canton, Beef Brocolli, Sweet and Sour Fish, Lumpiang Shanghai) and Masuki (siopao - Ma Mun luk is still better for me) yesterday, both restaurants are just so so, nothing extra ordinary. Nagsisi tuloy kami, sana Lai lai na lang kami nagpunta, we'll just charge it to experience. :-)

Tried cooking paella last Saturday but when I asked my mom to taste it, her reply was "MAS LASANG MENUDO KESA PAELLA"! :-0

The chorizo did not do it's thing to make it spanish tasting. At least amoy paella thanks to the rosemary and basil that I put.

Good food, good wine. What's there to ask for? Good s-x! Hope we'll enjoy it all.

BTW, para hindi OT. I won a free buffet lunch at Alba's here at Jupiter, will avail of it one of these days with the wifey, hope she enjoys it kaso lang lunch time baka mabitin lang. :-)

Hmmm... it wasn't Minggoys. I don't know if the restaurant is still open today. It's been years since I passed by that area. It was in the building near Alabang-Zapote road/Madrigal Ave. intersection.

I think you are referring to Las Paellas de Alba. The paellas there are superb, maybe better than that

of Mingoy's.

I've been a lurker of this thread for months now. I also am fond of wines and collect them. Haven't tasted the varietal that suites me best or maybe the ones that I've tasted were on the category of the "not so good". Tried Cab Sauv, Merlot and just recently Pinot Noir but didn't like what I tasted. Also tasted Chards and Semillon. Maybe I am not the wine type. :-)

Just bought 2 bottles of Prahova Pinot Noir 2001. Is it any good? Saw plenty of it in a supermarket rack last week and hesitated in buying but when I got back last night and found only 2 bottles left, I bought them both!

Anyway, will try it tonight to find out if it is any good.

honestly, i even know the owner.  though not as bad as estero, but still risky.  in the same level as delicious.  just take out the food.

Read that TOHO had good food accdg. to this thread and tried it with my family a week before this "Hepa" thing came out. Hope walang mangyari sa amin. Kawawa naman mga kids, they surely enjoyed the food eventhough the place was not so good a site.

There are already travel packages being offered by various agencies but the prices are

between US$250 - $400 These prices are too high if you are planning to bring

your whole family, $1000 for a family of 4, this is not including the various taxes. :cry: :grr:

Maybe if I start saving now I can bring my family on 2008. But I can't just spend all my savings

just for a 3 or 4 day of pleasure. There are more important things to consider. Kawawa naman kaming pinanganak na mahirap. :cry:

During my time 1thou+ if there are laboratories, otherwise 7-8 hundred per sem.

Pale for me. Parang madali kasi akong malasing sa SML. Ewan ko ba kung bakit. Mas mataas yata alcohol content non, less calories nga lang. :-)
