This is the chinese character for love. Notice that even in the number of strokes, it is already complicated.

心 - "heart" or "mind" or "core," read 'shin' in compounds. In Japanese this is "kokoro."
久 - "permanence, "perpetuity," "continuance," read 'kyu' or 'ku' in compound.
I'm not an expert in Chinese character etymology. But if I may volunteer a meaning to this, it is actually "a little permanent/continuous heart."
