I also miss Edisan, the japanese resto in mandaluyong na malapit sa makati-mandaluyong bridge. The owner used to be a chef in Tokyo kaya authentic yung taste ng Japanese cuisine niya. Prices are reasonable pa.

I miss the spaghetti of the old Makati Supermart
Yeah sarap nung spaghetti nila na matamis. Yung bang cafe ng Unimart andun pa? Same yung taste nung spaghetti dun kasi I think Unimart and Makati Supermart has the same owner.

there was this quaint little italian restaurant on the corner of n. domingo and gilmore, tiny tiny place, with the white guy owner himself preparing the food and cracking jokes in front of everyone. always had different daily specials. amazing appetizers and to die for pastas. anyone remember what this place was called? it just suddenly closed years ago, and turned into some shawarma joint.
I think the name of the place is Pasta Pilato

Is the Mushroom Burger branch in West Ave still there?
-
I miss:
Carl's Jr., A & W, Benissimo and Little Caesar's!
Saan nga ulit yung Benissimo?

San po exact location ng RUFUs in makati? tnx po..
sa may kalayaan ave. malapit dun sa dating international school

What about Moomba in QC? Is that place still operating? Last time I went there was in 2002. I think among all the restos I've been to that's the one with the most unique ambiance.

Miss ko na rin Aresi... it seems with this place you can't go wrong!
ideal date spot to... that's why I am astounded what happened...
Why is there a story behind the closure of aresi? Share naman :-)

kabayan in shaw blvd mura pa naman dito
Ay oo miss ko rin ito. Nawala sila nung nasunog yung puwesto nila. I particularly like their kare kare. Matamis ang peanut sauce.

choo-choo junction for their spags....
peach and plums for their ice cream...
tom sawyers for their crispy chix....
May choo choo junction na binuksan sa sta lucia mall around 2002-2003. Pero hindi nag click. Nag sara din.

And another one in Power Plant Mall Rockwell
What about yung Via Mare sa Tektike? Is it still there? Ok dun coz you get an amazing view of the eastern ortigas/pasig area.

Miss ko Aresi in QC. Sikat ito during the late 90s.
As for Carl's Jr., ang may ari niyan ay ang mga Aguiluz, yung may ari ng AMA computer school.
Yung ice cream plant ng magnolia sa aurora buhay pa. kaso nestle na ngayon. and they have expanded their menu by including non-ice cream meals.
Tapos yung makati supermart, i think same owner yun ng unimart sa ghills kaya masarap din yung spaghetti dun sa cafe ng Unimart? buhay pa ba yung cafe na yun?

50/50- we used to be the supplier of the burgers of this restaurant, kami ang may formula nun. The restaurant was owned by Mrs. Chua. Nagsimula ang decline nila (pati kami) nun nasunog yun Escolta o Dasmarinas st. branch. Then nun nabili yun lupa sa UN ave., Times Plaza na ngayon. Last na store nila yun sa PUP, tabi ng census. One of the reasons also were the employees, nagka roon ng union, di kasi sila tumulad sa ibang fast food na contractual ang employees.
Dayrits burgers- the start of their decline was when in 1991, there was a couple who had their dinner in this restaurant, their branch in Timog. Clinic na to ngayon ni Vicki Belo. Yun magsyota na yun, kinidnap at pinatay. That was the Bernabe-Castanos double murder case. parang nag ka trauma ang tao na kumain dito dahil sa incident na yun. Last 2003, their branch in Buendia transferred na to Magallanes. But I tell you, ang sarap ng burgers and roast beef nila.
Restaurants that I miss....
Lido in Binondo
Fernando's kambingan in banawe
1001 flavors ice cream in greenbelt
Peach Blossoms in north ave.
janet's sa UST
Via mare (meron pa ba nito? saan?)
Veranda Grill sa greenbelt
Yung dayrit's parang nagkaroon din yan ng branch noon sa shang mall in the early 90s, dun sa basement near the food court. pero full resto sila, not part of the food court.
As for Via Mare, last branch i remember was the one in eastwood but that closed down last yr.

Try HAIKU in Greenbelt 3. The food here is delicious!
They have this Salmon lumpia, try it, masarap!
The California Maki here is also much better than Saisaki or Teriyaki Boy.
Though the chicken teriyaki here pales in comparison to Terikyaki Boy.
I would say this could be one of the better japanese restauarants in town.
Btw, you better lift some weights before going to this place, the chairs here
are so heavy that you would need two strong hands to pull it out!
Kumusta naman ang price? May buffet ba sila?

from rockwell, on your way out to makati avenue, make a sharp right on the street right before grilla. som's is along that road, to your left. just park before or after the makeshift tents they've set up in front of it.
EVERYTHING on their menu is fantastic.
AND cheap! bring a date who's cowboy or steady friends and your appetite. you won't be disappointed.
good luck.
Meron din silang resto branch sa reposo. Coming from jupiter, it will be on your left after you get past Kalayaan Ave. It will be on the 2nd corner yata.
-
Meron bang resto sa Serendra na reasonable yung price, yung mala Gerry's or Aveneto? Parang puro high end kasi resto dun eh. Thanks
-
My favorite is Dad's in Glorieta...over the years i watched the price climbing upwards but if u are hungry and want quality food, then Dad's is my choice...you can choose from 3 different food types or try all 3 if u pay extra....I eat mostly from the Saisaki/japanese food cuz i like raw fish....since I spend most of my philippines time in cebu, I am glad that they opened a branch there in SM....
Magkano na ba yung dad's buffet? Tsaka yung Saisaki? Magkano na rin kung crossover? Do they still have that discounted price pag lunch time ka kumain na weekday? Thanks!
-
Soms Resto along reposo. They serve authentic Thai food. Sarap!
Saan banda sa reposo ito?
-
the last time i passed by, yes.
hhhmmm... now that someone asked,
i should be keen to look at it next time.
thanks! when was the last time you passed by it?

Buhay pa ba yung Wok Inn sa may Park Square?
-
And yun bang circles meron din sa Shang Edsa? O sa makati shang lang? Is it a separate resto or it's the resto of the hotel? Thanks ulit.

Buffet cost P1000++
Can you be more specific? Aabot ba siya ng P1,500? Nacu curious kasi ako kasi the circles buffet has been mentioned a number of times in this thread already. And ano ba ang selection ng dishes niya (japanese, filipino, continental, etc.)? Finally, at what times of the day is the buffet available? Thanks po in advance
