  1. brand names i prefer when it comes to boards ay ASUS and INTEL...

as for the memory slots..siguro kahit 2 slots oks na kasi most memory nagyon ay 256 MB and above ang standards....DDR ang types

as for the USB..standars for now is 4 ports (check pls)

toomtam... as for me i prefer asus and intel boards only... with 3-4 memory slots... with four usb ports... for programming and personal use... pinakamababa siguro ay 5k for the board... pero for gaming i dont like to use intel processor... prefer to use amd...

  2. anong best p4 motherboard ngayon??? how much??? ilan memory slots? USB slots?

  4. I just connected another computer to our network and I assigned an IP address to it already but it can't see shares across the network nor find computers in the workgroup. It worked with the network before. I'm using XP Pro in all of them. Please help!

havent used xp nowadays, but here goes... since you said that you can see the other computers thru the newly installed computer, do you have a PDC (primary domain controller, a computer which have all the user names and permissioning or rights) if not you have to set users on all the computers (each computer would have a copy of all the users on your network) on your network so they can have trust relationship, they can see each other and share resources. also try to see if you have set/installed the file/print sharing for newly installed computer. hope this work... if not will check more for the problem...

  5. anybody ever seen this error in windows xp? windows cannot start due to missing or corrupt file c:windows/system32/config/system It's driving me nuts!!! I've gone throught a process of elimination with my hardware and drivers but it keeps happening every so often, i've had to repair my xp 3 times this week already. HELP!!!!

sa memory yan, baka kasi ganito ang nangyayari dyan, napupunta sa defective memory address ang file na yan kaya everytime nacocorrupt sya, pwede rin naman na napupunta sa bad cluster sa hdd ang file or sa pagkainstall ng os mo ang problema... hope these will help you...

  6. also experienced this type of problem but narrowed it down to 2 causes.

    1. xp was not always properly shut down (due to brown out problems etc.)

    2. defective memory/dirty memory slot on motherboard.

check mo na lang yung number 2, kasi most probably yan na yun.

i agree with bad_guy, maraming beses na nangyayari d2 sa opis yan...

  7. what is the difference between SDRAM and DDRAM??? which is better? can i use SDRAM in P4 processor? are there NEW motherboard that still use SDRAM???

which MB is good/best for SDRAM???

the main difference between the SDR and DDR memory module is that the SDR transfers one data word per cycle against the DDR two data word per cycle hence the term DDR for Double Data Rate.

    DDR is better than SDR

there are motherboards that still have SD memory slots... yup also for P4 boards

highest MB for SD is 512... i think...
