  1. I think getting a rolex watch is a good investment. Rolex is very durable and the craftmanship is outstanding. I am personally saving money to buy a rolex yacht-master when I reach a goal in my professional career B) . This watch for me is the perfect example of a watch that is simple, elegant but very beautiful and durable. The watch does not shout "hey look at me... I'm a f#&king expensive watch and a Rolex to boot." My second choice is the submariner.

  2. I believe in a good diet and regular exercise both in cardio training, stretching and weight training. I also believe that one must not compare one's physical appearance with another because no two individual has the same genetic composition, lifestyle, age and fitness goals.

You have to know what you want to achieve and then your fitness routine will follow based on your goals. Fitness routines are different for someone who wants to join a bodybuilding contest to someone who wants to have a model's slim body to an average juan de la cruz that a smaller belly and healthier heart is all he is after.

    :mtc:

  3. BPI, Metrobank, Unionbank, Citibank, HSBC, Equitable PCI & RCBC are the banks I have had dealings with and I would say that BPI is the worst of the lot. Metrobank is kinda bad but their branches have chairs for the customers to sit on and wait. Unionbank is ok in service but their branches often times look sooo old and run down. EquitablePCI is ok so is RCBC. The best services I have experienced are with CITIBANK and HSBC.

I often think that the foreign banks really knows how to take care of their customers

  4. I used to study karatedo in HS for 3 years but I stopped when I reached collage. Now I want to go back and study martial arts again. My only problem is that I had my knee operated for an ACL injury. My knee is ok now but I would like to know which martial arts I can learn and practice and not be afraid of re-injuring my knee. I know for sure that t** Kwan Do (did I spell that right?) is out of the question.

Thanks for any help in this thread

  5. i used to buy my model cars, ships and planes in greenhills but the shop (i forgot the name) at megamall located at the basement has a decent selection of models to choose from. How I wish I still had the time to assemble models. I used to love assembling planes & ships specially the battleships. :D :thumbsupsmiley:

  6. I understand why a lot of pinoys migrate to other countries. At the same time, I admire those who choose not to migrate and stay in the country.

I choose not to migrate because I believe that I can contribute to the betterment of the country. I believe that if the educated and the motivated pinoys decide to migrate then there is really no chance for the country to improve.

I still have hope for our country. I believe that in we can improve the country for just being good and responsible citizens. We don't need to be like Jose Rizal or Ninoy Aquino to change the country for the better but we need to convert love of country in our daily activities.

    GO PHILIPPINES!!!!! :thumbsupsmiley: B)

  7. for all incoming graduates, the salary is not a specific number but a range. Different industries have different salary ranges for fresh graduates and for individuals with work experience. For the graduates, the best source of information is your school career counselor or your professors.

Also, negotiation is important specially for employees with great work experiences but for fresh graduates you simply do not have any leverage to negotiate.

My advice is to be patient specially for the fresh graduates. "Green" employees should work to earn your "stripes" in the workplace.

One way of "fast tracking" your career, if you really want to be an employee, is to take further studies after 3-5 years of working. This means getting a master's degree in the field you are interested in. But this will involve investing in yourself and it will require money. But it is money well spent.
