I was once myself in this situation and I paid off my outstanding balances with the credit card company. Now I don't keep a credit card anymore... I've been in fortunate circumstances and now I'm in a very, very good job. Curious thing is that I was given a car plan as a benefit and my portion of the carplan was disapproved by the lending bank. I checked and I found out that I have a negative record in one of these credit record institutions mentioned above.
The problem was that this happened 5 or more years ago and if I recall correctly, the collection agency promised to expunge my record from these credit record institutions but they apparently never did as evidenced by the negative record... I don't have any other negative records and I'm sure it was this one which caused the problem.
The details of my recollection of the credit card issue are sketchy at best and I can't seem to locate the paperwork proving I had paid my outstanding balance.
Would appreciate any advice that you guys can give on this.
Thanks and regards...

Guys, your inputs have all been very helpful. I will certainly print it out and check out the links you had provided.
id6230, yes, I'm doing research as well on my own. But as you can see, the inputs from the people who have actually been there is invaluable.
Besides, Pinoys have fairly similar tastes in food and entertainment and I'm sure the suggestions here would be enjoyable for us...
Based on our itinerary, we'll be going there on a Thursday and leaving on a Sunday...
I really appreciate your inputs guys, you're the best!

Wow! You guys are really too kind... Hmmm, okay. I guess I'll just pitch in sa budget ng sister ko for one 1 more day.... We can leave on a Thursday from Manila and leave HK on Sunday. I guess an extra Php10K should be sufficient? Gift ko na lang sa nephew ko for his birthday yung P10K, hehe...
I really appreciate all the advice and the helpful inputs here.... Keep them coming!
Lustfortravel... I'll eagerly await your suggestions on how we can best enjoy this trip... Cheers!

Thanks, Dennis. I really appreciate the assistance.
Look forward to hearing more inputs from you and LFT and other helpful posters.
Darkwish77, thanks... Will check these out....

Thanks, Dennis, LFT and the other posters...
Not really doing it for shopping, it's my nephew's 7th birthday and he requested a trip to Disneyland and Ocean Park instead of a traditional party.
LFT if your offer stands, here's the proposed itinerary.
Fly to HK using Cebu Pacific (cheapest fares, I think) on a Friday, spend the weekend and fly out to Manila by Sunday.
We're thinking 3D/2N should be sufficient time for them to enjoy the sights.
I was there on a business trip before several years ago but I didn't get to enjoy it as it was all work...
Anyway, the P50k is the working budget of my sister. I think it's all in. She's scared to travel alone with the kids that's why I'm tagging along.
The trip is mainly for the kids so we can probably share a room with them. We're not picky naman with the lodgings as long as the place is clean and safe. Anyway, we'll be spending the day and much of the night sightseeing naman so the hotel is basically just for sleeping and storing our clothes.
Oh and we don't mind if the hotel is not very near HK Disneyland as I know that the hotels there are fairly expensive. We can stay at other hotels as long as we can access the MTR or other accessible transport to HK Disneyland.
Also, the sights, aside from HK Disneyland and Oceanpark, what other sights would you suggest that we can fit in the budget?
Oh and by the way, my younger nephew will be less than 2 years old by the time we travel. I think he gets to travel for free?
Thanks and I really appreciate your replies.

Mga Sirs,
I'm planning to go there this November with my sister and her 2 kids. Would a budget of P50K be sufficient?
Appreciate your comments...
Thanks!

Try Cabongaoan Beach in Burgos, Pangasinan... It's still relatively unspoilt... We were there last Black Saturday and I took some pictures of the place...
