  1. what are the effective way to buildup sex drive? may paraan nga ba? thanks.

exercise will do wonders. while it boosts your libido, it also improves your endurance and strength- areas that you require once you are called into action.

  2. the addition of mascherano to my fave barca is an intriguing prospect.

some claim that it will make barca invincible. maybe. but looking at its line-up barca does not have adequate cover in defence with milito serving as back-up up to spanish internationals pique and puyol.

what do you think? will mourinho wrestle the crown from guardiola this time just like last time in champions league.

i hate to think about it by madrid has far more adequate players in cases of injury despite barca having a more established team and bolstered by spectacular additions of villa and mascherano.

  3. sorry wont be able to join in the fantasy league. bit busy with training. just wondering, what cable company offers plenty of soccer matches as part of their offerings? im entertaining of getting a television just coz of the game. any advice?

  4. its spain for me. they have world-class players spread all across the pitch plus world-class players sitting on the bench- think reina, fabregas. Their midfield lead by xavi is currently second to none. a possible weakness is defense with puyol starting to show his age.

brazil is next with dunga prefering solid teamwork over the traditional samba style. dunga's preliminary line-up however will not scare off traditional rivals as some of its feared attackers arent included.

germany and italy shouldnt be discounted and always are darkhorses- 2nd/3rd.

england has shown maturity under capello but with rooney's fitness in doubt and no other in-form, world-class forward to provide relief then the three lions chances would be in jeopardy.

any of these teams may feature from the semifinals upwards.

    side note:

argentina, despite its illustrious history, do not stand much of a chance because of one man- maradona. ironically he won them their cups. their recent performances under him are a joke and they deserve a better manager.

  5. same here. i wanted bayern to win although i get the weird feeling that inter would be a tough nut to crack especially when you consider how they won against barca.

  6. i didnt have any gas in the tank left to watch the barca vs inter showdown but the moment i woke up i checked the net for the results. demmit! i had to drag myself to the shower. it was a big big loss for my beloved barca. now i have all the reasons to hate ibra- that game added to his growing list of proofs as a european flop. and a darn big one at that. i am now wondering about the wisdom of exchanging etoo for him. despite his big mouth- etoo walks the talk and he has the work rate to show.

  7. saw maicon do his sama dance against juventus. must have hurt. i wonder who really deserves to play as right back for the samba kings- maicon or alves? the lucky man is stepping on cafu's big shoes.

  8. man u is balanced-team all-throughout the pitch.. some players, even their defense at times may not be world-class, but teamwork will take its effect and permit fairly good players to contribute and allow individual brilliance. probably only real madrid and chelsea right now are teams that have the right balance in the pitch with no glaring deficiencies even with mounting injuries.

barcelona badly need a holding midfielder and better teamwork since they rely mostly on individual talents to win games.

as for teamwork, i should give tottenham spurs that recognition. no player in the team is exactly a household name but they are surely rising....and it owes to their growing confidence, teamwork and discipline instilled by juande ramos.. by next season, with probably the addition of a better keeper and centreback, this team can dislodge liverpool and effectively challenge the big four.

  9. Anyone else noticed that sunderland is becoming the Man United reserves?

it helps if you are close to your old manager... and frankly, only sir fergie can throw garlands or thunderbolts from his pedestal to rival managers and even owners and still get away with it...

  10. darn, wrong predictions... it will be arsenal who will face man u earlier that i hoped. it would have been nice to see all four square off in the semis. but well... just like in highlander- there can be only one...

  11. i think the sending off of dawson proved crucial to the match...its already tough to defend against the full might of Man U attacking and creative force... it would be even be scarier to defend minus one man. but just like ramos said earlier, they would go down losing fighting and lose with their head held high...they did gave a good account of themselves....

  12. liverpool almost crashed out of the FA cup against Havant, a semi-amateur team composed of taxi drivers, plumbers etc. Had it not been to benayoun's hattrick near the end of the game- it would have been the biggest upset in FA cup history. Now, am wondering what is really going on inside benitez's head. his transfer policy is becoming unpredictable- it appears to me that liverpool doesnt have any transfer plan intended to suit up their play. Worst, there are potentially huge players who are underutilized in the squad- babel, torres, etc... does he have a game plan in mind? it looks like a mini-version of galaticos again... he is even planning to recruit pablo aimar and even thought of getting walcott! compared to tottenham, liverpool is going nowhere....

  13. liverpool barely survived the group stages but this is one competition where they really excelled in the last 3-5 years. their struggles in the league and poor management handling by its american owners will also influence their performance on the pitch.

on the other hand, inter is on another excellent season in its league and its veteran warriors are coming off their injuries. however, they havent had much success in champion's league and even luck hasnt been kind on them.

id say both have even chances of making it.

what is really exciting is the match-up between arsenal and milan.

  14. Pato is not that good IMHO.

I am afraid of Bojan! He is a force to recon with at age 17! And he's an FCB player you lot now how much I dislike that club along with Liverpool.

its true- its too early to tell when it comes to pato- both kids (pato and bojan) show promise though so it bids well for their respective clubs. i havent seen bojan play except in fifa2007 :thumbsupsmiley:

btw, the season is already past halfway, who for you guys are the biggest bust signings in clubs for this season?

for me its robben- people say he is good- some claims that he is even better than c. ronaldo- heck, even fergie wanted to sign him until chelsea beat him for his signature. now that i thought about how things are especially with his current situation with real madrid- fergie was lucky he lost him and chelsea is even luckier when they were able to get rid of him. now, he is in real madrid's treatment table as always...

  15. i cant help this but...

has anyone seen alexander pato play in ac milan's win against napoli?

ive first seen him against barcelona in the world club championships final and i thought that he will later (maybe sooner) replace ronaldo and lead el selecao's frontline. Puyol and Marquez can barely contain the Duck especially with his pace and trickery.. and although he failed to score in that match, he was a constant threat for Internacional and was instrumental in making that only goal....

  16. Cristiano Ronaldo & Wayne Rooney are the best decisions Fergie did after the post Treble era; Tevez was just a bonus hehehe..what ManUtd need right now is a midfielder who knows how to play midfield; Carrick is just not good enough, he is so inconsistent & Hargreaves is always injured (if only he wasn't injured so much; ManUtd could've been better with him in the positin); the defense & attack are great already; what they need is a holding midfielder who can create, score & can hold the defense with hard tackles (i.e. Roy Keane :D)..Go ManUtd!!:)

First, Roy Keane can never be replaced. Fergie once claimed that Roy was and will probably remain as his greatest signing. In a lot of ways, Roy is Fergie on the pitch- combative and wouldn't back down like his manager.

As for the holding midfield role- there are probably 5 who can be considered world class- the rest are on the rise or past their prime like Makelele and Viera. Gatusso is said to be thinking of retiring and the fast pace of the English game wouldn't be fitting for an old warrior. Carrick is more of a deep/central playmaker, only he pales in comparison to Pirlo- who is the undisputed master in this position at present. And even Carrick couldnt match the evergreen Scholes. At present, probably Essien, Mascherano, Cambiasso, Gatusso, Gilberto Silva are shoo-ins for the defensive midfielder. Rising stars would probably include Flamini, Diarra, and a host of others from Argentina and Africa. Ballack could have been a good option but considering how he plays right now for Chelsea it wouldn't be a good idea. Maybe you have better ideas...

Lastly, i agree that C. Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney are fergies best signings in the post treble era. Theyre not the finished products though. C. Ronaldo often disappears and at times barely influences the results of the biggest games- thats why he lost the player trophy to kaka. (he is benign compared to riquelme though- who seems to disappear entirely). And wayne rooney needs to mature more and learn to restrain himself like Roy Keane. Roy did play like a rabid dog on the pitch but had since learn to restrain from outright maiming his opponents. Rooney can do something like that or he will frequently get shoved around with red cards.

  17. fergie is still epl's standard any epl manager or other league managers should emulate. 20 years of ups and downs with more ups and still counting is still the gold standard worldwide. he certainly has his faults and some of his signings aren't always spot-on but his ability to spot talent and transformed them into world-class caliber, resurrect his team's standings and consistently performed throughout these years cannot be tarnished. the rest, may have their moments but it needs consistency of results with impressive displays on the pitch will be necessary for managers match him. thus even his opponents respect him.

wenger most probably follows fergie in this regard.

what about the others? benitez needs to duplicate his past successes with valencia in liverpool in english soil. he had partly achieved it with champion's league victories. he only needs to win the league title a couple of times to achieve that. i say he is not good because a manager is measured how his team performs on the pitch in each match and its based with how he selects his team and its certainly affected by how he rotates his players. also, he has some glaring mistakes in tactics in some matches- like the champions league final in istanbul where he let kaka run amok- he finally corrected it when he introduced dietmar in front of his defense and won it.

mourinho? i would like to see whether he can again achieve his feats with porto when he has less talent in his disposal unlike in chelsea where he has ibrahimovic money to bankroll world-class players. unfortunately, i doubt it if he can spot talent and transform him into world-class caliber the way wenger and fergie do it since he prefers to buy established players. i wouldn't agree though with ibrahimovic's interference and i have no doubts of the special one being a winner- he certainly is.
