  1. It will help you trade in stocks but it is no guarantee you will be successful.

thanks for the confirmation. yeah i think even if you're a CFA there's no really guarantee. I mean, even the CFAs in the leading brokerage houses cannot make a winning recommendation. I'm using a certain stockbroker and most of the time they're recommending some stocks for us, customers, to buy but darn, their recommended buy is not a "good" buy. Most of the time, they suck at their recommendations. 90% of their recos failed.

Im not saying CFA is completely useless but in my opinion, the reality is that those who can get the firsthand infos in companies, those who can predict the future, and those are extremely lucky are the winners of the stock market. Not those who extensively studied how to calculate certain indicators.

    Just my two cents

  2. go for the dual phone kung nag-aabroad ka. I am now using a china phone. Yung E-71. My main phone sa pinas is HTC but when i go outside kunwari sa singapore or middle east, panalo na yung china phone basta yung E-71 na manipis na maliit. 2 years ko ng gamit. great phone!!

  3. guys i want to replace this BS windows with Linux. ano ba magandang pangalang ng linux ngayon ang da best. DAmi ko kasi naririnig na Suse, Ubuntu, fedora, etc. nakaka-confuse. pang personal laptop lang. thanks! ;)

  4. nakakatulong ba ang pagiging CFA pag maglalaro ka na sa stock market???

I think stock market is some sort of gamble, so basically konti lang magagamit mo sa pinag-aralan mo when you are going to play in the market. CFA i think is puro theoritical how to compute but i think that shouldn't be the case.

Im not sure though. Please rebut my statements for those who disagree. nakakatulong po ba? thanks

  5. I have been offered to buy Ayala Preferred Shares by virtue of my Ayala Corp stockholdings. I am not sure of the advantages of preferred shares over owning common shares which I now have. Would you recommend I buy into this offer? Thanks in advance.

you should not sis. The only advantage of preferred shares is you are prioritized before the common stock stockholders in the event of liquidation. Nothing more nothing less.

Preferred shares are in concept the hybrid of bonds and common stock. Do you know that the corporations invented preferred shares in order to raise funds without the problem of obligatory periodic payments in case of bonds and without losing control/income sharing privileges in case for Common stocks. You see, in the seasons or earnings, common shareholders get most of the the benefits and in seasons of recession, bonds stand out. In either seasons, preferred shares are just in one corner waiting for the liquidation of the company. If you invest, you look forward to grow your investments not waiting for the moment your investments to be wiped out. So don't.

    Hope i helped you.
