  1.

I agree. It can only improve a little but it will be there for a lifetime. Over population is the main problem in our country that causes traffic, crime, high unemployment rate, pollution, floods, lack of classrooms/schools and almost everything else. Pero ang simbahan gusto pa rin tayo magparami.

May kita sa pabinyag, pakumpil, pakasal at sa huling yugto ng buhay ang palibing

Thats why the catholic church value life so much

  2. I doubt if GMA denied the request because there was an ongoing search for a suitable offshore patrol vessel was at that time, and the government was evaluating other alternatives. It was during GMA's term when they came up with the idea of using Malampaya Funds to acquire OPVs to protect our offshore platform and the other oil exploration sites within our EEZ. What was your basis that GMA denied it?

The S211 is the lemon of all lemons as far as Trainer/Attack planes are concerned. Though brand new, its optical targeting system sucked from day one. The air force technicians had to use the famous Filipino "diskarte" to use the targeting system recycled from retired F-5's to make some use out of the S-211s other than train pilots how to take off and land a jet. Of the 25 we bought, only 5 are now left flying in so short period of time. S-211s is the Philippine Air Force's version of the "Widow Maker". Anyway, I doubt if Cory has any idea what her government bought for the Air Force at that time. I'd hazard a guess that a few Air Force generals retired rich when the S211s were procured.

Glory simply doesn't want to rile the chinks who are the principal sponsors of her pet projects like the NBN-ZTE or north rail among other things

S211 is the only remaining air asset with jet propulsion that the PAF still maintain pending acquisition of newer jets. In other words it was supposed to be augmented with the sale of a portion of fort bonifacio and Villamor airbase (AFP modernization program). Unfortunately for the PAF it didn't materialize.

This development forced the hands of the PAF to over extend the utilization of these two decades old trainers. After three administrations from the end of corys term, the S211 will get some relief with the new trainers acquired by another Aquino administration

Come to think of it, bonifacio global and resorts world are currently flourishing commercial developments. A far cry from its former image of a delapidated military establishments. Ironically, the AFP is still ill-equipped and neglected by the very leaders you support

  3. Naku, dinemote mo naman yung tao Sir... He's a Lt. Gen (3 Stars), not a Maj. Gen (2stars) :)

I basically agree with his position except for the Submarine part. There's minimal chance of a shooting war ever happening between us coz of our MDT. Kahit ano pa man nakalagay jan na "Metropolitan area" or "Pacific Area" ang keyword don is "Public Vessel and Aircraft", sisipa at sisipa yung MDT natin.

We have one of the longest coastlines in the world, if i'm not mistaken, the 4th longest overall and the Submarine is primarily an Offensive weapon who loses much of its effectiveness on the surface. Hindi naman araw-araw mag gyera tayo, eh paano kung peace time??? na ang kailangan eh mga aircraft and surface vessels needed to patrol our coastline??? diba?

For a cash strapped state like ours, we can use asymetric warfare like the good general is espousing by using a different but cheaper kind of tool other than Submarines... Mines and torpedoes...

With a limited budget, we have to be forward looking and practical with our resources, be it manpower, money or materiel... How do you enforce our EEZ and fisheries law by using a sub??? can a sub chase illegal fishing boats without damaging itself???

Saka ang point naman dito is not to go toe to toe with China on a 1:1 ratio, our economy can simply not afford it, ang goal dito is to make the world aware of China's bullying and to make them bleed and hold the line till the Americans arrive, because I firmly believe that no matter how tired the American PUBLIC is with regard to "Foreign Adventures", NCA cannot pussyfoot and leave us out to die by Chinese hands because if they let that happen and the world sees them hesitate, it's Sayonara America in Asia for the forseeable future. No Asian government would take their words of reassurance anymore.

Submarines are effective intelligence gathering tool. It can monitor poachers while submerged & not alarm the crew doing their illegal activity

The chinese will avoid shooting at the americans & vice versa, otherwise it will be armageddon. Additionally, the chinese will have no qualms shooting at us pinoys so we have to have a stout heart to fight back

When the shooting starts the best the americans can do is supply us medically, together with some weapons. We shoot the chinese, the americans dont, they will only provide the ammos

  4. The agreement merely provide real estate for the americans & their equipments

It will not in anyway strengthen the AFP because those facilities are off limits to pinoys

The only good thing it will provide is logistics. The americans will buy provisions locally, that will certainly help local economy.

Additionally this will deter the chinese from attacking the mainland not spratleys unless the americans set up a facility directly in pagasa island which we currently occupy

  5. Nope... He was the chief engineer. His son was the captain.

Should we be apologetic? YES, 110% begging in the knees apologetic, but to the Taiwanese PEOPLE as our letters of apology has stated, not the Taiwanese "GOVERNMENT" which Mr. Ma demands because he knows if our government gives in to his demand that we apologize to their "GOVERNMENT", that's already a De Facto recognition on our part that they are a separate entity (Independent Nation) from Beijing. I don't give a rat's a$$ if we piss of Taiwan's de facto government. The way i see it, in a couple of decades, they'll be back in Beijing's fold. I would rather have Taipei harrassing us for the forseeable future than Beijing.

the father is not in the helm & trumped by the son, thats quite odd

ill apologize to the filipinos whose dreams for a better work in taiwan were put on hold & i will only offer the taiwanese regret for entering our territory & riling our coastguard who used to stay in port for lack of fuel to protect our marine resources

so to apologize for the effect of their intrusion is preposterously odd

  6. the taiwanese killed was the captain right, captain sits on the bridge which is located near the fore of the boat. for the captain to be shot & killed the taiwanese boat must be facing the phil coastguard boat giving credence to the claim that the chinks made an attempt to ram our coastguard vessel who were dispatched to make an attempt to intercept the interlopers withinin our territory. the death would have been impossible if our coastguard fired at those chinks from behind while giving chase

considering the decrepit condition of our coastguard vessels, they killed a taiwanese alright but failed to capture them because the rest of the crew made it all the way back to taiwan. in addition our coastguard cant go that far away from their homebase because of very limited fuel supply

now this incident called for sanction against the phil, then so be it, lets see if production in taiwanese factories will continue to be efficient with fewer pinoys manning it

should we be apologetic, DEFINITELY NOT. this incident is only REGRETABLE & thats it

  7. Good Day Automotive Freaks!

Just need you expert opinions, suggestions, tips and even your violent reactions regarding all the available brand new vehicles in the market.

I'm planning on buying a brand new vehicle and my estimated budget would be around 1M, theres 4 of us in the family (2 small kids) and at timse my sister and my dad (very seldom). What would you guys suggest that I get considering all the usual concerns like fuel consumption, durability, resale value, ride, value for money etc. We do occasional out of town trips but only in tagaytay and/or batangas.

Other concerns that I have would be the availability of the unit since I'm gonna sell or trade in my 97 Civic VTi and I cannot afford not to have a vehicle to use. I'm gearing towards a 2010 model Crosswind XUV but I'm still open to any other options.

Please advice guys (and gals), Happy Motoring & drive safely!!!

  8. Madali siguro siyang ginawin...
