i have a similar problem kasi my HD also crashed. hope that someone can point me to a shop that can try to fix the problem, if only to read some of my data files in the HD.

Agree ako dyan. Lalu na nowadays bagsak presyo na mga External HDD. Just recently bought a 500GB Maxtor OneTouch 4. siguro sa current peso-dollar exchange rate more or less PHP3,000 lang sya.

Before I have Norton Internet Security which was Pre installed when I bought my Laptop(Compaq C700) LAST FEB 2008. FYI the OS is Vista Home Premium. The performance was really disappointing.

Then I bought the ESET Smart Security and installed it on the machine. So far I have no complains with the performance and the laptop runs much better/faster.

I've been here for the past 2 years. Every year competition is getting tougher and tougher and sadly wages are getting lower and lower.

Aside from work experience, lots a luck and determination ang kailangan if you want to survive as a visit visa here in dubai, lalu na ngayon na may ruling na that 2 exits nalang add to that kabayans who are below twenty five are no longer allowed to work.

Anyway, share ko din sa inyo.....I sponsored my sister and my cousin to come here in dubai. They arrive here march 16, 2007. I guess both of them were quite lucky cause after a couple of weeks both of them landed jobs. My sister now works for RAKBank and my cousin works for al ansari exchange.(yun nga lang resign kagad, lumipat sa al quoz para maging DCS).

Swertihan din talaga cause nun panahon ko, nag exit muna ko sa kish before I landed a job.

Last year I apply for HSBC Visa Card, They declined my application, just knowing that I am OFW.

Yup, I heard that Emirates provides a competitive package for their cabin crew. I hope sanay kang lumangoy CHINITA, requirement nila yun eh(In case mag crash land sa dagat, you can save lives)

mga sirs mataas na po ang crime rate sa dubai compared 4 years ago my holdaper na nga at rapist majority pakistani...nabalitaan nyo ba lately yung magasawang lebanese na pinatay at nirape pati yung lalaki ni rape... ok sa dubai kaya lang tsambahan sa paghahanap ng trabaho.. ang laging hinahanap sa UAE yung meron atleast 2 years gulf experience...sa mga pupunta sa dubai na wala pang papasukan at naka visit visa try nyong applyan Jumeirah, Burj Al-Arab, wild wadi or kahit saang establishment na shiek ng dubai ang may ari maliit ang salary pero libre accomodation at pagkain. grabe mahal ang upa dito sa Dubai...then pag may relevant U.A.E experience na kayo tsaka na lang kayo lumipat sa ibang trabaho... pero da best talaga pag may kaibigan or family member kayo dito..

Yup I do agree with you Pedro, Medyo tumaas na crime rate dito. Kaso if you read the daily periodicals or seven days, di masyado nababanggit. I guess its the govenments ploy to make the image of emirates as a safe haven for tourist.
