mostly of the filipinos esp in the rural areas treats balikbayan as if they are superstars... they're very hospitable and very caring... they focus their attention on that particular person or people to the point that they're both annoyed.

I recently went home to Phil. Everytime I walked in a room, I got silence and stares. Even in chuch everyone would be pointing and staring at the 'balikbayan' I think the bleached hair and mini-skirt didn't help.

Some balikbayans actually go home to Phil to share with others the knowledge they have gained elsewhere, so our country/economy will be benefited. I know a lot of balikbayans who start and are involved with charities. I have friends who have gone home, started businesses and in turn provided jobs to Filipinos. And most of these guys' prime ambition and dream is to help change our country for the better.

Not all balikbayans are bad.

For 200,000 peso capital, any business ideas?

Oopss..sorry peeps. I forgot to mention I'm in Canada. I'm pretty much one of those saleslady you see in SM (I'm sure you're familiar with those annoying ladies who likes to follow you around) :-) I do a little bit of sales talk, some basic cashiering and etc..:-)

For a part time job; the money's not too bad (peso-wise) and the job quite easy.

I'm a Nursing Student but have a part time job (I'm in Retail - AKA Saleslady).

I work 20 hours per week. So 80 hours per month.

I earn approximately 50,000 pesos per month.

I get no benefits, I just get paid by the hour.

I love RPGs.

My favourite Fallout series, Xenosaga, Final Fantasy X and X2, Drakan, Diablo I and II...ooohh so many to mention.

Thinking of getting an xbox. They're cheaper these days. I want to play Fable and Knights of the Old Republic.

haha..sa totoo lang I was sooo in love with him to the point that I wanted to marry

him and bring him to Canada. To hell with what my parents and relatives say! And to think I've only known him around 3 months.
