  1. It seems like Ateneo Graduate School of Business is top dog this year. According to some people, Ateneo emphasizes decision making skills more than DLSU, which emphasizes number crunching more. How true? Any MBA graduates from both Ateneo GSB and DLSU GSB here who would care to elaborate?

  2. For those being chased by collecting agents.. :zorro:

    SUBSEC. X320.14 UNFAIR COLLECTION PRACTICES

    Banks, subsidiary/affiliate credit card companies, collection agencies, counsels & other agents may resort to all reasonable & legally permissible means to collect amounts due them under the credit card agreement: Provided, That in the exercise of their rights & performance of duties, they must observe good faith & reasonable conduct & refrain from engaging in unscrupulous or untoward acts. Without limiting the general application of the foregoing, the following conduct is a violation of this Subsection:

    a. the use or threat of violence or other criminal means to harm the physical person, regulation, or property of any person;

    b. the use of obscenities, insults, or profane language which amount to a criminal act or offense under applicable laws;

    c. disclosure of the names of credit cardholders who allegedly refuse to pay debts, except as allowed under Subsec.X320.9;

    d. threat to take any action that cannot be legally taken;

    e. communicating or threat to communicate to any person crdeit information

  3. No way you can get a Zeiss, Schneider, or Vario-Elmar (that's what you call the Leica lens on point and shoots like the Lumix) for P10k. Kahit 2nd hand siguro.

    yeah i agree.. this guy is dreaming.. unless he manages to snag a camera from someone desperate for cash.. otherwise, no way indeed. :goatee:

  4. I like the one written by Bryan Peterson "Understanding Exposure". If you are coming from a p&s cam, this book explains in laymen's language the relationship between aperture, speed and ISO and everything you always wanted to know but wouldn't understand from all the forums. ;)

    yeah its a good book!! i have that one too!! :thumbsupsmiley:

  5. I just got a simple P&S digicam well just for casual shooting

    Ok lang ba kung 1gb na memory lang kunin ko or 4gb? 7pm po siya.

    I can take shots at 2mp though. tingin niyo?

    the real question here is whether your happy with your camera or not.

    the Nikon D40 is 6mp but many like it partly because of image quality. if your asking whether your cameras quality can be used for business, well, maybe not.

    but for casual snap shots, maybe it will do just fine. otherwise, you may want to consider other options. go figure :goatee:

  6. Oh wow.. that Nikon D90 sure is so handsome. Dream ko rin magka DSLR, pero saka na siguro, wala pang budget for that. At the moment, I am still satisfied with my point and shoot camera, pero talagang gusto kong magkaroon ng DSLR na may macro lens, I am a real sucker for macro pictures!

    glad you could drop by.. buying a DSLR is quite an investment.. not to mention macro lenses. whew! they cost about as much as a new DSLR body! most kit lenses can do some descent macro work so you could get your feet wet. then decide wether you still need a dedicated macro lens.

    after the Nikon D90 comes out into the market. you may want to wait a couple of months as it may go down in price that is more affordable.

  7. ok ba yung NiKON D60? mga magkano kaya ito?

    This is my first time to buy a DSLR and I dont know which model to get. D40/D40x/D60/D80.

    The D40 & D80 models are 2006 units while the D60 was released in 2008.

    For a budget of 25~30k, what would you guys recommend.

    Between Canon or Nikon, which would be a better DSLR?

    Am currently using a Sony Cybershot T70 for point and shoot lang. Want to venture to the next level.

    TY for your comments.

    The Nikon D60 kit costs 26-27k nowadays from Henry's in Hidalgo. :cool:

    Maybe you might like the Nikon D90 simply because it offers more versatility. :thumbsupsmiley:

    You may be able to pay 50% cash and 50% credit as some stores allow this.

  8. Citibank usually increase the credit limit after 1 year. HSBC seldom increase the limit unless requested by the cardholder.

    I have cards from both. After a few months from issue my HSBC credit limit was increased from 18k to 30k. I dont expect an increase on my Citibank card since it scares me to have a credit limit higher than what i have now at 87k. Mahirap magbayad ng card, sakit sa ulo pala. I'll take it easy from now on until i pay off my balances completely by december.

  9. Agree, kikmeister! Imagine your scandals in HD (albeit mono audio), shot in fisheye or with creamy bokeh... hehehe

    Imagine the pornographic possibilities!! :thumbsupsmiley: The D90 could help reinvent porn as a unique art form!! :goatee:

    Watching a scene thru a fisheye lens, starring yourself :boo: and maybe diana zubiri or cristine reyes :evil:.

  10. I plan to buy a Canon 450D soon, but I got a bit disappointed when I was recently told that most DSLRs don't enable a live panel view of the image that one intends to shoot. Is this true?

    If it is, then are there any DSLRs at all that offer such a view?

    I guess to specify the question further, which DSLRs have this functionality and which do not? Thanks!

    Digital SLR cameras that have live view are the Canon 450D, Nikon D300, and Nikon D3. I'm not sure about the Canon 40D, 5D, and 1Ds Mark III.

  11. newbie query

    ok lang ba to install the lens from the body when ur not using the camera?

    whats the proper way of storing it pla?

    You can have your lens off camera or on it. Just store it in a dry place or perhaps in your camera bag. :blink:

    Just make sure it does NOT take a dive into salt water!! :cry:

  12. Anybody...

    Canon 40D vs Nikon D40

    technical specs and subjective specs

    Thanks in advance

    Better hurry sweetie, some Nikon dealers were told to clear inventory on D80 and D40 as soon as possible. This is to make way for some upcoming products like D700, SB900, D90, and some other lenses. Some will be rolled out next week, I think.

    Anyway, like the others said, a more appropriate comparison would be Canon 40D vs Nikon D300 and Canon 400D vs Nikon D40. In the end, it's what you really want in a camera that determines your choice.

  13. 21.5k nga ang D40, just called un mga shops sa hidalgo.

    is that true ba mga idol na pa-phase out na daw D40 & D40X?

    sa columbia phased-out na daw...

    Nikon headquarters announced last year that production of D40x will stop in December 2007 to make way for the D60. However, orders for D40 will continue and remain Nikon's entry level unit until further notice.

    CDSC or some stores may not have enough stock of D40 at times but does not mean it is phased out, but D40x is.

    I don't know yet when I will be able to buy. I still need to pay off some debts; october or december perhaps. :unsure:
