Currently, there is a Conference/Convention going on in Crame with both Pro-Gun and the anti-gun lobby. from what i could piece together, the PNP will allow sale licensing and PTCs as it does currently. penalties for loose firearms, however, will be dramatically ramped up. Also, there is currently a bill in congress, by congressman antonino, that seeks to give the same rights here ala US bill of rights for firearms holders.

 

as to ranges in manila, which part of manila or the metro are you in? there are several all around the metro....

Technically speaking, there is no such thing as "Permit to Range" or "PTR". What you are looking for is properly called a "Permit to Transport" that authorizes the firearm owner to transport his firearm from the residence indicated in the firearm license to a specified firing range accredited by the PNP-FED, subject to certain conditions. Depending on who will facilitate your PTT application (your gun club should be able to do it for you, or a reputable gun store near you), it can range from Php 350.00 and up.

what is your average download and upload rate for torrents? i'm a smartbro antenna-based internet subscriber too. i dont do port forwarding but my average download rate is 60kB/s per torrent. probably this is slow compared to wired DSLs and Ts but pwede na for me.

 

consider also the availability of the torrent and its seeders. depende rin kasi sa mga may file ng torrent kung pano nila configure dl/ul nila. see my post link below. this might help you to have a better torrent download.

Eto ung steps:

 

1. open IE (or any browser for that matter)

2. access the router GUI (usually http://192.168.0.1 or http://192.168.1.1)

3. type in username and password to login

4. Look for something like "Advanced" (if you're using D-LINK)

5. Under sa port forwarding, Name = "Torrent".

6. public port and private port = <port na ginagamit ng torrent client m> (google m nlang kung papanu)

7. IP address = <ip address m> (start > run > cmd > ipconfig)

 

ung downloads m will go from 1-2kbps to 200kbps na siguro. Hope that helps!

sana po pag i can shoot n kitakita po sana po tayo sa mtc shooting contest................Good idea, why not organize 1ST MTC SHOOTING COMPETITION...it's a good start to promote responsible gun ownership to MTC members. Suggest, level 1 competition so that preparation will be easy. Too bad, nasa State pa ako. Hope to see you guys in the range.

 

Once Im in Manila, I will teach some techniques in practical shooting. Prepare at least 300 rounds of ammo and of course, prepare to stay in the range the whole day. See you guys this december.

ranger9, i think the PTR could be applied at at the nearest reputable gun club. :sleepysmiley03: they would usually have all the papers you need to sign, and could help you in the processing.

Technically there is a problem per AFAD rules...but per practice, for as long as your FA is licensed and not expired there will be no problem.

 

FED computers had problem sometimes wherein even you change your address at the application form during renewal, still the old address will be printed on your FA ID card. This happened to my rifles and pistols. The essence is, make sure that you FA's license is renewed on time and there will be no question or problem at all.

 

Just one thing for PTT and PTCFOR holder, be sure to bring always the FA ID with you.

Basically, you need to access the router's GUI before you can set a Port Forwarding. Connect to the router and from your browser, key in on the address bar http://192.168.0.1 or http://192.168.1.1.

Port Forwarding usually can be found in NAT or Firewall settings of the router device. Key in your PC's IP address (with the torrent application) and the port of your torrent application. If there's an option like what protocol to use, choose BOTH (for TCP and UDP) transaction.

Hi thanks po for your advise but i need a more specific or step step procedure on this smartbro share it. before i can do Port forwarding in a separate modem and router but not like this one, i was hoping a more detailed solution using the smartbro share it interface. Ranger9, as sir arsonist stated that the gun ban will come into effect on january, it would be better if you applied for a permit to range. i know that the ptr is only for 3 months, but then it won't be a waste of money like getting a ptc and being not able to carry a pistol for 6 months

Sir matanong ko lang may alam b kayo na puwede mag lakad ng Permit to Carry Firearms? HOw much could it cause me kaya? Magkano pala membership sa gun club like ng ARMSCOR? Saan ang firing range nila? Dito ko sa pasig saan malapit? indoor or outdoor?
