Went shopping. Maxed out my credit card. Went to all social events possible. Got a haircut.
That was years ago. After that pathetic point of my life I realized that emotions just really last for twelve minutes. Any pain you feel that lasts longer than that is just self-induced.

If it's just chick lit (say, Twilight, Confessions of a Shopaholic), I think I'm better off just watching the movie.

I'm looking for a coffee shop in the Makati area where I can hang out and read, one that's quiet, sells cheap coffee and has good lighting. Hopefully not the standard CBTL, Starbucks and SBC, as those places can get noisy and crowded a lot of times. Any suggestions?

If we're going to eat out somewhere nice and I have lots of time to prepare, I wear a dress, thongs, high heels and perfume.

The jeepney is really not a nice place to just ask a pretty stranger for her number. Places where people are relaxed are the best places to approach girls. Bars are a given--some people go there to meet new people. Parties are also perfect. Other great places are coffee shops, bookstores and the gym. If you're a regular patron of the establishment, it's easier to approach people.
The strangers I've given my number to are usually the ones who have a friend/wingman with them. They're very witty, they can carry a conversation about almost anything and they have impeccable manners. Needless, to say, just be smart, funny and decent when you make small talk with a girl and you'll surely have her number. It also helps make subtle yabang--girls love guys who appear accomplished.
Winking would probably be one of those really tasteless things you can do to a stranger, but if you're really really good-looking it actually works. Someone actually once winked at me. He was so handsome I couldn't help smiling.

Their 'Death by Tablea' is simply excellent!
Cakes from Chocolat are indeed heavenly And inexpensive too. Goes so well with their coffee.

I've learned that I've gotten so jaded and apathetic it's so easy for me to abruptly cut off ties with friends who were once so close, even if reconciliation is highly probable.

Living in a condominium is great!
- The beauty salons are just downstairs. So are the laundry shops. They even pick up or drop off your laundry. You can even have a masseuse come over and give you an hour of relaxing massage for just 300 pesos.
- The security guard in the lobby can accept your packages from the courier for you just in case you're not at home.
- Most of the time there's a cab waiting when you step off the building.
- You don't have to worry about the garbage truck schedule--you just throw your garbage in the chute.
- You have a sauna, pool and gym at your disposal.
- If you have friends visiting, you don't have to give them long instructions on how to go your house--just give them the street and building name and most of the time they can figure out how to get there.

Online, I'm even more opinionated (well, I'm already very opinionated in real life), more daring, more sarcastic, more flirty, more naughty. I guess I'm still me, just more intense.

haven't tried Seattle's Best for ages...guess am missin' a lot then thanks for the tip :thumbsupsmiley:
well, am into Kopiroti lately...it's quite near work...like just across the street...even if Starbucks & CBTL are also nearby
Kopiroti's coffee is so-so. Their milk tea is okay though. Best thing about Kopiroti is the coffee and drinks there are cheap.
You're not pertaining to the Kopiroti in The Columns, are you?
