Beef Brisket noodles with Special Shrimp Wonton

Ching Kee Beef Noodle at Banawe (between Kimpo and Icebergs). This is currently one of my faves in Banawe. They serve around 10 or so kinds of beef noodle soup and a few short order items. Had the beef brisket noodles with wonton - the wonton i had upgraded to their special shrimp wonton (all shrimp). Good soup base. Not overly seasoned, just the way I like it. Brisket and wonton were really good. My wife ordered the beef tendon with special shrimp wonton (not pictured) - she told me that it was one of the best tendon that she had eaten, really tender. Price per bowl is around P200-P250.

Parking is limited but I was told that Icebergs allows them to use there parking area.

  2. Fake wagyu pala yung sineserve nila called Saikoro Wagyu Beef. The fat is just inserted to the beef. Tsaka ang ikli ng time 45 mins lang :(

I didn't know that they insert fat into beef. :) Napa google mo ako haha

45 minutes is more than enough time to order all the things that you would want to eat. Naka order na kami ng 2x bago natapos yung time. And you can leisurely take your time eating your grilled food.

  3. Urameshi-ya at Little Tokyo. They have eat-all-you can dinners from Monday to Wednesday. The catch is you have to order everything within 45 minutes. The eat-all-you can menu includes wagyu beef, shrimps. crabs, scallops and other assorted meats. A bowl of rice, soup and a plate of greens is also served, free of charge. All of this for a whopping P500++ :)

Now because of the price expect to wait before a table becomes available. The place fills up fast as they only have around 7 tables (or was it 5) inside the resto and around 6 tables outside. So my suggestion is to go early. They open at 5pm.

  4. The ground floor restaurant is still known as Chuan Kee while the 2nd floor one is Cafe Mezzanine. You can order food from Chuan Kee and have it served at Cafe Mezzanine.

I used to frequent Cafe Mezzanine for breakfast - they open around 7am. Food is of average taste and quite expensive. Service is not so good especially when the supervisor and owner are not around. Got tired of this and transferred to Awi's Cafe (formerly VIP Cafe) and President's Teahouse.

Awi's opens between 7:30-8am. They are known for their oyster cake, pancit mariano and fresh lumpia (available on Mondays only).

President Teahouse opens at 7am. We usually have dimsum here for breakfast.

  5. Thats a great first kit! How old is he? I'm working on an MG Strike Rogue OOtori right now.

He just turned 16. He used to watch me assemble kits when he was younger and he recently asked if he could have all my old gundams.

Just googled MG Strike Rogue OOtori, Wow! Nice kit!

  6. Royale Shaksfin Dimsum along quintin paredes is already closed and will be replaced by a new player Wong Kee.

This is not true. Actual restaurant is at the 3/F of Pacific Centre Building. Though they rent the space downstairs, they never operated out of it. Heard that Wong Kee is also owned by the same group and they plan to serve congee, dimsum, noodle soup, etc.

My wife has no outstanding balance with them since she has not used her HSBC card for a couple of months. In the past, all her outstanding balance were paid on time and in full. Last month, this company's collection department started harassing my wife over an unpaid P1,200.00 annual fee - the corresponding statement for which was never received. The harassment continued even after HSBC customer service had agreed to waive it. It continued while we were on vacation in HK. This continued even after numerous calls to both their customer service and collections department. It got to the point where I got soooo fed up that I called them while we were in HK just to end all the harassment. Would you believe I was transferred from customer service to collection then back to customer service while I was on roaming. And yes, the harassment continued even when we got back.

Filed a complaint. Received no calls from them, no offers from them to shoulder the roaming charges I incurred calling them and not even a sorry for ruining our family vacation. Instead, they sent us a letter apologizing for the inconvenience and thanking me for my comments. Way to go HSBC!

  8. I rarely shop at Puregold but whenever I do I have always found their system of doing things outdated. They have automated item counting via their cash register and manual item counting via their bagger. If ever these 2 counts don't match, both cashier and bagger will try to do a recount or try to locate the miscount. This actually happened to a customer in front of me and it caused a delay. After everything matches up they still have to bring the printed receipt to a supervisor for signature. Then we are subjected to a bag count before we are allowed to leave Puregold (this is also true with S&R). Puregold management should rethink how they treat their customers. They should not assume that their customers go to their establishment to shoplift.
