after reading and browsing about the iPad over the months; specifically what the heck is it really used for, I believe the iPad wasn't designed or wasn't directed for its full potential.

I was thinking yesterday that if only the iPad had thin client capabilities, it would be a very powerful tool.

I think the only decent shakey's I ate in was the one located at fairview centermall. mabilis ang service and lagi sabay ang order mo. the others.. well, normal na ang late na service. madalas ang order ko ay yung mojos na marami. dahan dahan lang kumain para by the time na maubos na ay ayan na ang main course. worse is when you want to get your bill. nawalan na ako ng pasensya to wave at the crew so ang ginagawa ko na lang ay direct sa counter ako nagbabayad.

actually, ganun ang ginagawa ko in any restaurant or fastfood who fail to notice me when I ask for the bill. hindi na ako nagiiwan ng tip :grr:

oh, when in baguio, you have to go try the steaks and toppings place at the building besides porta vaga. pero beware lang; you have to indicate whether you want medium rare or well done. wag nyo na pagtyagaan yung nasa food court sa sm. hehe.

oh yeah, pati pala yung sizzling plate along burnham and session road; masmasarap kumain dun compared to its manila counterparts.

went to greenwich at SM clark, pampanga. ordered pizza. nung dumating ang pizza walang binigay na plates and knife and fork. pumunta pa ako sa counter and requested. tagal tagal ibigay dahil hinugasan pa raw. nung dumating yung plate napansin kong kakaiba ang amoy :sick: pinunasan ko na lang ng napkin. before ko ilapag ang pizza sa plate I noticed one of the crew at the counter wiping the dishes with THE SAME RAG HE USED TO WIPE TABLES.

bwisit. pinatake out ko na lang ang pizza. la ako sa mood makipagtalo dahil pagod na pagod ako sa byahe papunta pampanga.

Tingin ko back to the old plain stickers ang LTO after ipagbawal na ng SC ang RFID. Since puro RFID lang yung nasa stock rooms ng LTO, magpapagawa ulit sila ng simpleng stickers.

I was one of those whose vehicles got tagged with an RFID at the beginning of this year (2nd week of january, exakto the next day dineclare ng SC invalid ang RFID).

kasabay ng RFID sticker/tag ay nilagyan pa ako ng 2010 sticker. I asked the guy who defaced my car's tint why are they still releasing the yearly stickers when the RFID is already in place, and if they will continue releasing yearly stickers.

he answered in the affirmative. yes, regardless of RFID plano pa rin nila magrelease ng yearly stickers.

LTO screwed up and gave a lousy reason of why they ran out of stickers.

Mcdo at Tycoon bldg Branch. I rodered double cheeseburger. Nung kinakain ko turned out isa lang ang patty and isa lang yung cheese. I was too hungry to replace my order kaya kinain ko na.

pizzahut session road, baguio. during meryenda ordered their 99 meal. wala raw. ok, ordered their shakes, softdrinks lang raw available. nubayan, almost everything I ordered is not available, pizza lang na pang-maramihan samantalang magisa lang ako kakain.

decided to h@ll with it and transferred to KFC sa tabi. I don't like eating at KFC session because panay bading ang mga nagseserve; from the counter-gay cashier to the waiter-gay to the gay crew.

nakakawalang gana kumain sa gay-KFC so take out ako kahit gutom na. sa bahay na lang kumain. grrrrr..

ayun, yesterday I went back to the LTO out of curiosity on how will they do a refund (and ask about the tint too). SOP reply: wala pang order na natatangap. ang dami namin sa LTO kahapon asking about the refund too.

bagsak na bagsak na sa credibility ang LTO. pakingshet sila. wag na wag nilang sasabihin na advance for next year's renewal eto. ginawa nilang mandatory ang pagsingil so kami rin, mandatory rin nilang ibalik.

ganito ang procedure ko this afternoon sa pagrenew ng registration ng sasakyan:

1. emission testing- pulled into emission testing center. technician put on mask, put sensor at exhaust, posed with the platenumber. tadaa! 4-5 minutes after I pulled into the emission center may result na. bayad agad ng 400.

2. stencil and MV inspection- there are "stencil aides" scattered at the LTO parking lot who would do the stencil for you. bayad 20 pang-sigarilyo

3. pila sa inspector to get his signature.

4. pila sa window 5 para submit ang insurance, photocopy of OR and CR along with original CR, insurance, [bogus] emission test result, MV inspection form

5. wait for cashier to call out your name. pay the corresponding renewal. in my case it was 2983. nandun na ang RFID tag na 350 along with the other expenses like sticker, computer, renewal.

6. line up at window 2 to submit papers and receipt to get sticker

6.1. wait for name to be called out to get stickers.

-------- traditionally the whole painstaking process is now over but lo and behold!

7. Line up at RFID section to have your RFID tag registered.

8. Encoder will enter details. the weird part is they will ask for your mobile phone number. hahahahaha! lintek. ang mura mura lang magpalit ng number tapos ang mobile phone number ko ang hihingiin.

9. After encoding you line up again for another signature for release of the RFID tag.

10. an authorized lackey of the IT guy will go with you at your vehicle. if you have tint above your windshield, bubutasan nila the same size as the RFID tag and paste it like an ordinary sticker.

11. after all that hoopla or brouhaha over the database properties of this RFID, magkakabit ka rin pala ng 2010 sticker sa windshield and platenumber. hay. tatangalin ko na ang mga lumang stickers sa windshield namin. it's become too cluttered already. ang pangit na.

ayan na. there is no escaping this stupid RFID. kakaregister ko ng sasakyan namin. ayun, buset, hiniwa ang tint ng sasakyan. sa gitna pa ng windshield sa likod ng rearview mirror nilagay. akala ko ba may microchip eto? bakit gusto nila maarawan?

I'm in baguio right now looking for a scsi drive. pambihira, per order basis raw talaga kahit pumunta pa ako ng manila to pick it up. you're given me an idea actually, tangalin ko na lang etong mga scsi drives and put in a sata drive instead. masmura pa. hahahaha..

actually, nagtataka ako why the "IT" opted for scsi drives. I'm in the same dilemma as you where I can't format it because of the data. sayang, tig-80 gb pa naman per drive (with the third drive not functioning). temporarily nakainstall ang suse enterprise on an IDE drive

on a side note, I browsed the backup scsi drive because I was wondering what sort of data would occupy 94% space. nandun ang mga backup files along with a big folder labelled voltron: defenders of the universe. leche, ginamitan pa ng torrent etong unit.

^^ok na. I donwloaded suse linux enterprise desktop 64-bit. may 30 days trial evaluation period. hehehe.. but still, got in touch with their local distributor para sa product support. 64-bit pala etong xeon na eto.

anyway.. yung last "IT" na nagmaintain [kuno] ng server na eto only used this unit for backup. sigh.. what a waste of hardware. may 3 na scsi slots with hard disks but only two are functioning. yung win2003 server OS ay hindi licensed (ay ang t@nga talaga nung nag-IT-IT na yun], ang administrator password ay ENTER lang. hay.. pambihira naman. ni hindi ginagamit for database eto, pang-backup lang.

gonna use raid-5 on this. yun nga lang, maghahunting pa ako ng scsi drives, or saksakan ko na lang kaya ng sata drive. oo nga pala, bibilihan ko pa eto ng dvd writer.

shoutout lang. I recently got my hands on an HP proliant ML350 server unit. what linux distro would you recommend on this? wag yung server version na walang gui ha.. hehe, nangangapa ako kung panay command line lang.

the website of HP proliant says suse enterprise ang maganda dito. any opinions?

not exactly a repair question. I've just recently got my hands on an HP proliant ML350 server. trouble is, super tamad ng pinanggalingan na IT to the point that the @sshole did not include the drivers, the manuals, or whatnot. basta super incompetent na IT.

ang importante ay nasa akin na ang server. super alikabok.

anyway, what OS will I install on this? 32 bit or 64 bit?
