  1. Had a Samsung SGh250 slide phone for almost 4 years util the keypad malfunctioned. Sabi ng technician yung "ribbon" inside and usual sakit ng slide phones, so after that I didn't want to own a slidephone again. It was affordable alternative to Nokia back then.

Now using a galaxy 5 and Tab 7" .. overall good, but battery life not so good.

  2. I have a Firefly 999 dual-sim for about 8 months. Bought this because I needed the most affordable quad-band dual-sim available for travelling abroad and this is the cheapest with the most functions available then.

Pros: good response. tactile keypad. plastic of back does not show scratches. nice screen resolution ( i jokingly call retina display for cheap phones)

    Average: front and back camera

Cons: no option to turn off one of the sims. may easily delete all messages.

    Good phone for the price.

  3. Have been a Globe pre-paid ever since I had a mobile phone. Just a note on why I would stay with Globe even longer, my friend lost her mobile phone with a globe pre-paid sim. We reported it to their business center and not only they had the lost sim cut-off, they retained her old number with a purchase of a new pre-paid sim card. Less than 45 mins spent!

Now another friend of mine also lost his Smart pre-paid phone, although he retained his old number but he was required to provide an affidavit for the lost sim, that costed around P150 (up to P450 for some notaries) for the notary not to mention a return trip for processing the replacement.

  4. There's this place around the area of the Fiesta/Duty Free Mall and Multinational called EASTGEN apartelle. It's been a very long while since I last went there but it was very affordable, I think Php 180 for 3 hours (wash up rate). Decent room for 2 w/ TV, A/C and electric fan, washroom & kitchen sink! It's inside bgy. Sto Nino. Ayus!
