Makati should be the best, as it has the best infrastructure and peace and order. how often do u see Makati to be the 1st to have power during a brownout? or how easy is it to get a DSL residential line in Makati? etc etc.
Cebu would be my 2nd choice. Its a small place but has most of what Manila has, and beaches are minutes away.

Shangrila Boracay is opening next week, with rates starting at $600 per night for a regular room to $2,500 per night for the Tree house.

Just came from Aressi, the shrimp pesto is good!!! and the steak 1,200 @ 400 grams was great value! The Chop Chop Salad was good as well, and servings are quite big here

Italianni's is the best!
Italiani's is a bit too commercialized for me. I prefer Cantinetta, La Nouva, La Opera, Mi Piace. Cibo is ok too, although the taste is sometimes not consistent across their branches.

Plantation Bay, Shangri-La and Hilton are great hotels and if you want beach. If you want somewhere near the city you may book at Marriot.
Abaca is the ultimate in serenity, located beside Shangri-La. I find Hilton too "fake", trying to put in a beach in so small an area, and the food choices are so-so, although the Manny O private label was interesting. Shangri-La still provides the perfect mix for luxury, F&B, and a decent, albeit man made, beach.

Check Paotsin. Dimsums are ok.
Where is this located? Thank You

Cigar friendly places in Makati include Kipling's and Martini's Bar at the Mandarin, Conway's (outside) at the Shang, The Bar at the Peninsula, the new lounge at Renaissance, and all outdoor places. CAV used to allow cigars inside but they dont anymore.
Kipling's is nice, but have high priced cigars. They are selling a 2006 Limited Edicion Cohiba Piramides for over 4k pesos. Good thing I bring my own cigars and just order single malt from them.
If any of you are interested in purchasing cigars, please PM me. I have a personal collection, and its an updated one. I can sell to you cheaper than any of these retail establishments.

Suzhou dimsum has branches in Greenhills Promenade, Robinson's Otis, Masangkay St. and Gandara St. in Binondo
Suzhou also has branches at A. Mabini in between Shaw and Wilson and in the Retiro/Banawe area of QC

Noodles, short orders are good in Luk Foo.
For Dimsum, Siomai would be ok but for Chicken feet, spare ribs and others. Still prefer Causeway for it. Kaso medyo malayo na.
Tagal ko na di nakakain sa Wanchai sa downtown ah.
If you're in QC, there's a Wanchai in Morato

Im planning a Food Trip EB at OMAKASE at the IL TERRAZO Bldg. In Tomas Morato. OR We can try SUSHI KATSU (Japanese Cook Daw) which is also in Tomas Morato. I think sushi katsu is somewhat across Kalye Juan (Bar ba ito?)
Although ISSHIN in pasay road is not bad..... puro Japanese nga mga customers. A bit pricey though when compared to KIKUFUJI
Just tried Omakase, it's good!
I dont think Isshin is more expensive compared to the regular prices at Kikufuji. Kikufuji can get expensive at night when the promo does not apply anymore.

malacca resto along jupiter. Its malaysian cuisine. its ok but people palace is a lot better.
In the same building as Malacca is Mey Lin. If you like hand pulled noodles, they are good here. Reminds me of all those eateries in HK

try "stockmarket" its a new resto in bonifacio high street. They serve the famous delmonte steak. Nice food and ambiance.
The steak is really good, although technically, this is not in Makati. :goatee:

For those of you who like Italian, in Makati you can try Cantinetta (Rockwell or Pasong Tamo Ext), La Nuova (across the church on McKinley) and Mi Piace (the Peninsula)

Nokia E71. Used to have an HTC Diamond Touch but it was lousy. Software kept hanging, must be Windows. The E71 is perfect, and slim, with full QWERTY keyboard

I love Japanese food, here are my favorites:
1. Kikufuji - best value for money for lunch. Uni-don, yum!
2. Senri Yakiniku- Pasay Road behind Dusit. Try the Special Karubi Cut
3. Umu at Dusit
4. Tsukiji for Ohmi Wagyu
5. Tsumura - a bit over rated. Head over to Kuretake at Rockwell, I think it's the same owner.
6. Inagiku - very overrated. But their Lapulapu Usuzukuri is the best there is.
