Writing Helps Me Cope

As thoughts toss and turn

I unravelled the disarray

As hope springs eternal

I have heard many say

So I pen through the tears

Worries I need to forget

While releasing anxiety

Writing was my outlet

Unleashing all my anguish

I wrote through my grief

Poetry was like therapy

Writing gave me relief

As tomorrow is a new day

I had not given up hope

Chasing away the blues

Writing helps me cope

On Nights Without You

Can you picture me

Sat here whilst yearning

As I pour out my heart

A solitary candle burning

In the flickering flame

My vigil by a candlelight

Feelings start to flow

Heart breaking as I write

In the candlelight glow

Lonely nights I had spent

Writing letters of love

Which shall never be sent

Slowly the candle melts

Words you would not see

On nights without you

Tears I have shed silently

Reaching Your Soul

My heart is the place I feel home

Lot's of love from deep within

I give you a piece of my soul

Hold it dearly because it belongs to you.

A grasp with a handful of colors

I indulged myself with no factors

I tried gray to match my scarf

As brown made me feel like a dwarf

I swapped my black cardigan for blue

With a thought that a change was due

Somehow yellow stood out in my mind

That's how it all came down to a bind

I hid yellow behind a glass closet

Foolishly believed I'd soon forget

There I discovered a green stain

Wonder what might soothe my pain

Then I stumbled on brown in a cue

Just to find yellow hidden in blue

Can you tell which color its whom

As it tells a love epic of six in gloom

all the things in the world don't compare to you!

at seems like time stops every time i see you.

i believe so far, I haven't treated you like I should.

but i promise you from now on i'll care and treat you like i should have at first.

words and actions will never show how much you mean to me.

my love and affection i will give you endlessly.

do not ever doubt how much i miss you when you're not around.

without you I don't feel complete.

it's like a sunrise without sunset, a rose without petals, life without love.

so forgive me for things i've done in the past, things i shouldn't have done from the beginning till this last.
