  1. meron ba dito nag g-gym sa annapolis branch? :)

Only when the traffic of Ortigas makes it worthwhile to pass the time pumping iron. Set up of Greenhills branch reminds me of dela Costa branch - too constricted. I am a leg press "addict" (I know doing squats is a lot better) so remind any guy who does 8 sets that other people may actually need it (it could be me taking too long) :P

  2. 10th ave branch still open?

Hmmm I wish I knew where this is <_< One of the branches na hindi ko pa napupuntahan. Its a long walk from the LRT station but then you could jog from the 2nd station of LRT1.

I heard they were about to close this BRANCH because of the high rental fee and the low client patronage. I hope they relocate it somewhere where there is no nearby Fitness First branch

Trafalgar is also good. You can park in the Makati sidestreets for free as long as its a weekend or if you arrive past 6:30PM. Just make sure you won't be towed by roving MACEA trucks. They added a mezzanine which decongested the place but there is still too many people working out after office hours.

  3. do they have olympic bars/squat bars?

    i'm more into free weights.

sobrang dami ba naka enroll dito?

    how much rate?

Yes they have olympic bars/squat bars. Just be early so that you avoid the crowd and the potential to catch a flu. Free weights are really good when you are into strength training or body building.

Am not sure about the rates they charge cause I signed up for a lifetime contract six years ago and it cost me 35,000 pesos. In retrospect hindi sulit because had I invested that 35,000 pesos in TBills or Mutual Funds, its annual projected interest would have been enough to enroll in a small no name gym for six months :thumbsdownsmiley:

Anyway, it might be better if you would purchase your own gym set if you are annoyed by other people working out

  4. anyone who's working out at sllimmers pan pacific?

    any feedbacks?

One of my favorites kahit na siksikan at unahan sa bench press. Favorite ko kasi it has the best locker room, shower cubicles and a great view of Manila bay while you work on the rowing machine.

  5. Very crowded din ba sa SWI Cebu? I'm planning to visit this branch one of these days eh...

I have not been to Cebu in the last 20 months. Things may have changed. Baka "crowded" na din at this time. when I worked out there, it was on a weekday early morning so not much people fighting over the machines. Mostly Chinese patrons ang nakita ko there.

  6. I have several sneakers in my collection. For the ones I got in the eighties, the pvc midsole crumbles as it gets powdery with age. For those I got in the 90s and 2000 up, it's the adhesive that disintegrates so that the midsole, outsole and uppers get separated. These Nike, Adidas, Puma, Asics, New Balance shoes have not been used at all. Is there any way to preserve them? I just like collecting them and keeping them in boxes with those little silica gel pouches.

It seems may mga kapareho ako ng sakit :thumbsupsmiley: I also buy an extra pair just for my collection. Eventually the midsole crumbles even without usage :thumbsdownsmiley: My GF thinks its weird collecting shoes. Its a good thing she has not seen me wear my Nike on bed performing the "deed" :upside: Shoes does have a lot of memories with them - from winning championships, to wearing them while free running in Paris OR to wearing them while shagging this particular gal. I know . . . someday I may have to speak with a shrink about this shoe obsession

  7. Hi.

I am looking for a male gynecologist.

I presume there are lots of you in here?

I think I have STD and really need help immediately.

It is the first time that I would be needing help with an issue regarding HPV/STD.

And I am not comfortable opening my legs and exposing my pussy to a girl!

Well, yeah I have my lady gynecologist, and have had pap smear so I've shown my pussy to a girl already.

But my pussy needs exploring because she is sick :-(

I would be more comfortable with a guy doctor because that's what I've been used to.

To open wide for a man, and not feel embarrassed at all.

It's funny, I know, but I hope someone would step up to help me.

Please help me? I am nice, I promise.

And I also promise to pay.

There is really no issue whether you consult with a lady gyne or a male physician. The last thing a doctor would do to a patient is to give moral judgements.

I had a patient approach me in one of my clandestine clinic in Manila asking for advice regarding HPV. Turns out that we knew each other and she was really flushed with embarrassment. I just had to reassure her that everything we discussed will be confined in our physician-patient relationship. She is still probably thinking that I see her as a slut - the exact opposite of how her friends like myself see her. She appeared to be living two lives and until now no one knows exactly what she does when she is not on duty

  8. LOSER=chub, small dick, mabilis labasan like me :upside:

Dude don't be hard on yourself. If your chub, yeah you will die early but then you can exercise <_< However, a small dick is not the end all be all of your sexual potential. Have you any idea that Pinays avoid foreigners and gifted people like me because they can already feel the excruciating pain of getting "wrecked"? Some Pinays are so used to quick triggers that they have adapted and are also trying to get off as quickly as their mates. Anything longer than 45 minutes to them and they start to chaffe :thumbsdownsmiley:

However, I am a loser because despite being a Pinoy . . . I have started to assimilate the preferences of my foreigner friends meaning I have this weird attraction for Pinays who would not even be considered "acceptable" by my Filipino peers. I used to like and admire women "traditionally" thought of us "beautiful" - ya know mestizas with well defined facial features (especially the high cheek bones). I am not sure if I hit my head hard during a surfing accident or ate a "banned" muchroom because non of those traditional head-turners would even grab my attention :thumbsdownsmiley:

"Worst of all, I have this lady friend whom I have know for years and apparently now has been tempering her affections for me possibly expecting me to be wooing her given her physical attributes as well as her non-aesthetic qualities. But Stupid me appears to be non-responding to Cupids arrows :thumbsdownsmiley: I know I should be falling in love with such a beautiful person BUT then I am not. One comedian described this powerlessness feeling as "being the only male in a planet full of hot beautiful women BUT all are lesbians" :thumbsdownsmiley:

  9. kamusta na ang SM north branch? may mag nagpupunta pa dito?

SM North EDSA branch is always crowded even on supposedly dead hours. Sometimes, a non-attentive patron would accidentally bump into you while your doing your super sets. I got an injury because of this :thumbsdownsmiley: I don't know why but even with the new Fitness First nearby on the Block, SWI North EDSA continues to draw some clients. I looked inside Fitness First and it was also full.

The top three overcrowded SWI centres are:

    1. Salcedo branch Zeta II building

    2. SM Megamall

    3. SM North EDSA

Best SWI branches to work out your body:

    1. 29th floor of Trafalgar Building at Dela Costa Makati

    2. 6th floor Pan Pacific Hotel

    3. Basement of Ayala Mall, Cebu City

Best SWI branches to "admire" ladies:

    1. Greenhills branch

    2. SM North EDSA

    3. Pasay Road, Main branch

  10. mga attorneys please feel free to give your opinion . . .

Wala pa namang batas or even local ordinance regarding this issue. Recently, the city government of Marikina had set aside 2 meters on some streets as bike lanes/bike pathways. Of course, there is the pedestrian lane for people. However, cyclists (strangely) continue to use the roads for motor vehicles :thumbsdownsmiley: One cyclist who does not use the bike lane said that "bike lanes are for cowards". Apparently, the riskier the ride, the more aesthetically appealing it becomes for the bicycle rider <_< Not that I mind their bravery for risking life and limb but it also poses a risk for motorist when they try to avoid cyclist who are not using their bike lanes provided by the government. Of course, there are some streets without bike lanes beyond the jurisdiction of Marikina and compelling cyclists to use the pedestrian lanes "behind the pink line" would be hazardous to pedestrians.

The question: What can be done to compel cyclists to use bike lanes provided (and funded) for them by the local government of Marikina? Can they be charged with jaywalking (even if they are not walking but riding)? Is a motorist who accidentally hits a biker from his blind side liable for physical injuries when clearly it is an act of self-injury (or act of stupidity)?

  11. Great defensive game Rockets!

I hope Dikembe gets back. Rockets will need length to match up with the Lakers. Kukuyugin lang nila si Yao sa loob. Luis Scola plays big but he is giving a lot of inches to Gasol and Bynum. I do like Chuck Hayes and the intensity and physicality he injects in the game.

I prefer Shane over Ron Artest coz he is the smarter defender.

  12. ^ To add..

At dahil nagsulat ang father ko ng complaint letter.. Biglang tumawag yung tao na dapat pumunta sa bahay.. Nag-re-reason-out pa ang OGAG.. Palibhasa pinapatawag siya ng Area Head nila.. Dapat lang!!!

I laud your father for taking time to WRITE an actual complaint. Maabala yan kaya hinahayaan na lang ng mga customer. People should take time to DOCUMENT complaints otherwise it would appear that their subcon are doing their job <_<

AND don't believe that when you call 171 that everything is recorded. Sometimes they turn off the tracker "history of complaints" just to create an illusion that customer satisfaction is improving. Ibang klase talaga :thumbsdownsmiley: When you complain, they just try to escape from the problem and avoid confronting the customer.

I suppose they just don't have the resources (technical knowhow, time or whatever) to address the concerns of their clients

  13. Kayang kaya naman talaga ng Utah jazz talunin kahit anong western conference team including the Lakers. Hindi na nila kailangang kuyugin si Kobe <_< There is really a problem in the locker room kaya ang pangit ng chemistry ng Jazz. It started with the clamor of AK47 for minutes and his resentment coming off the bench even though he is one of the highest paid players in Utah. Then Deron Williams signed a big contract. Hindi naman bobo ang mga agents ng mga players ng Utah. They know the salary cap and thus they know the financial flexibiity of the team. As it is, Okur, Boozer and Paul Millsap are expecting to be rewarded by bigger contracts this year. Mukhang impossible magkasya sa limited finances ng utah. Boozer has been playing below expectations. I think he is going to bolt out and sign somewhere else. His absence in the frontline will not be missed with the improving play of Millsap.

Last year, AK47 and Matt Harpring both harrassed Kobe on the defensive end with minimal success but they did punish him whenever he penetrated into the paint.

This year that intensity on the defensive end is wanting. Defensive help from the weak side is lacking and I don't understand why coach sloan tolerates this defensive apathy :thumbsdownsmiley:

If the Jazz can get their act together, they can win the first round in seven games. Right now, they have no chance winning at Staples <_<

  14. Pero I think may laban ang jazz. They have a deep bench, and they can foul often and hard.

Exactly my thoughts :thumbsupsmiley: However, you can sense the confidence of Kobe when he was interviewed after the win over Utah. Lady reporter practically questioned the wisdom of winning over the jazz when the Lakers would be better off facing dallas. Kobe answered that he welcomes the physicallity of Utah :thumbsupsmiley: I hope the Jazz beat him up black and bruised or better yet fractured :thumbsupsmiley: Lakers did the same thing to the spurs by clotheslining derek anderson that sent him recuperating throughout the playoffs and unti the next season

  15. I hope Utah win over the Lakers tomorrow. Must win for the Jazz to have a chance to be a sixth seed and not the 8th (current position). Jazz has all the tie breakers against New orleans and Dallas. A win over the disinterested Lakers (can't catch Cavs anymore) will certainly put more pressure for dallas to beat houston :thumbsupsmiley: unfortunately same is true for the hornets to break out of their shooting slump to beat the spurs :thumbsdownsmiley: the bad thing is that both games start at 8PM (eastern time) :thumbsdownsmiley:

  16. Best nation in basketball is a tie between the Philippines and Lithuania (at least in Vinlus)

Sa Pinas bawat barangay may basketball court and 85% of males can shoot and dribble but 99% knows the game. Proof? - what kind of country would elect former basketball players as mayors, vice mayors or councilors? We even sent two pros in the Senate! Even a referee Tito Varela one an election at some point <_< It is just part of Pinoy culture.

Of all the countries in Europe, only Lithuania has a basketball court in every village. They also know the game. You will have to wonder how a small country almost beat the USA Dream Team in the semifinals of the Olympics. They were the first team that proved that USA is not that dominant and they did not even have the legendary Sarunas or even the contemporary Zydrunas Ilgauskas or Darius Songaila. These former Soviet republic was a perrennial source of Olympians for the once proud giant USSR.

When its World Cup season, almost all the Europeans talk about it and enjoy sharing their insights with my singaporean and Korean colleagues. In a European conference, I was surprised when a diminutive Lithuanian approached me and asked me if only the two of us were out of place in the sports bar. We talked about X and O's of the game and laughed at the other Europeans after the soccer game ended in a draw zero-zero. I was just happy none of that ever happens in hoops :thumbsupsmiley:

  17. im planning 2 buy memory modules. ask ko lng wat b difference nla

    512MB PC3200 DDR 400,

    512MB PC4200 DDR2 533,

    512MB PC4200 DDRII 533 SODIMM

anung po b difference nung PC 3200, PC 2700, PC 4200, PC 5300 & etc...

anu din po difference nung DDR, DDR2? thanks

Me too I got confused. Better bring your MoBo. Check if how many slots are there and what is the maximum MB that it can accomodate. The differences in all the three chips you mentioned are their Base FSB and speed. Make sure that you have similar memory modules and even better if they have the same brand. what happens like what happened to me is that I had a 256MB ship in one slot and a 512MB in the other slot. the inequity can cause your system to crash. Even if you have the same 512MB in both slots or in three slots, their RAM speeds may differ (PC4200 has a faster speed than PC3200). The rule is that the faster one would adjust and be slower since it has to work in parallel.

Hope this helps. There is another parameter CL2.5, CL3 and CL4 which I have no idea what it represents but the rule is your modules should all be similar.

  18. When I was in high school, I know one of my teachers had a bad crush on me. And she was really pretty. In fact crush sya ng buong senior class and I was just 13 years old. So we had an 8 year gap but it was just limited to flirting and one kiss. The weird thing is that it coincided with puberty and I was just in a hormonal mess.

Then I ended up dating women older than me. Unfortunately, I ended up dating cougars :thumbsdownsmiley:

Last year, I was on the other side of the fence when my girlfriend was ten years my junior. Kaya lang she looked 18 years old kaya it only intensified the age gap. I am usually introduced as someone only 5 years older. I am not sure if why she picked that number. She always complains about the sex but the fact is I thought she was expecting too much. I don't know but I feel that two orgasms would be enough for one night. <_<

  19. Grroowwwrrr !! Daming cougars ni pimpdadi :) Ako ni kuting alaws.

    Penge isa.

Dude they are like old and semi-married <_< Two of them were just using me to exact vengeance from their husbands having mid life crisis. And the cougars are really nasty, yung isang kuting ko ay kinalmot at kinaladkad :thumbsdownsmiley: Kawawa naman yung receptionist namin nawalan ng trabaho <_< Hirap talaga ng office love affairs.

I guess cougars mark and protect their territory. They chase out the other cats. Sayang talaga yung mga kuting :thumbsdownsmiley:

  20. There is no other way to make your first million but through hard work and perseverance. My dictum was that if Plan A did not work then stick with Plan A :thumbsupsmiley: If you had a Plan B then you were actually thinking of Plan A possibly not working. But the fact of the matter is, sometimes you can do everything right and still end up losing money than making it. It just like basketball when the refs just won't give you a call. So instead of complaining to the refs, you just stay aggressive, penetrate the lane like manu ginobili and fish for the foul to get to the free throw line :thumbsupsmiley: I really can't get into specifics into what I did lest I reveal my indentity in this forum but I feel that generalities should suffice. i would delve into the DONTS rather than the DOS.

    1. Don't think that by sleeping with your boss would make it easier for your promotion.

While it is true that there are a lot of corporate women who are cougars, they are really not into it in the long term and so they are just interested in a quick fix Bam! Boom! and then you feel used :thumbsdownsmiley: Unless you think that your boss is in it for the long term with you, then you have some degree of tenure and of course good endorsements for possible promotion.

    2. Don't change your lifestyle.

If you start making money and money changes you then that is just pathetic. Don't let money change you, but you should change your money. Make your money into opportunity Ergo - investments!

    3. Don''t be complacent. It is always easy to lose the drive when you make your first million. It would appear that you have reached your peak (of course thats in your subconscious. So if you lose your guard, some upstart newly grad might just start screwing the cougars, doing more what is expected of them and staying 20 hours in the office. Suddenly, while you thought your on top of your game, a rookie steals your thunder.

So good luck you studs. :thumbsupsmiley:

  21. I hate you Memphis Grizzlies because you traded Pau Gasol for Nothing! :thumbsdownsmiley:

If you just wanted to save money, you could have gotten the expiring contracts of Brent Barry and Francisco Elson! And thats why Greg Popovich can't believe there is no conspiracy here. He could have thrown in Luis Scola and draft picks to sweeten the deal.

  22. I used to teach in one college other than DLSU and I decided to give out of generosity (actually I resent failing students as they become burdensome eventually in my teaching load for the succeeding semester) So I gave a makeup exam which was True or False (easy!). Considering that my previous evaluation for these students was usually identification or essay. I had hoped everyone would pass the exam. Even if the student did not know the answer to the question, he still had a 50% chance of getting it right even by just guessing blindly.

There was this one girl which caught me flabergasted when she got all the items WRONG! What were the odds of getting everything wrong in a 20-item true or false questionnaire! I thought she deliberately made the answers wrong <_< but to my surprise she did her bestest best. Just tough luck. So I gave her the opportunity to take another makeup exam which she mercifully barely passed (it was the same test!)

  23. Am still waiting for the former slam dunk champion Brent Barry to play good minutes for the Rockets :thumbsupsmiley: I can't believe the spurs let him go since he is a real "glue" guy that would offset the disturbed chemistry with Artest rocking the (Rocket)ship <_<

  24. Napulbos yung Jordan 16's ko sa closet ko.. The mid-soles just disentegrated, and I was so saddened by this because it was part of my collection and it was one of the first Jordans I've ever bought - its been with me for over 7 years.. This (I think) actually started my collection.. In this regard, how does one keep his shoe collection in good condition? No cracks, and no change in color sana.. Ang nakakapagtaka nga ay yung Nike Shox ko (the first one) ay hindi pa sira at all, at nauna ito na binili ko..

I can not afford a climate-controlled room.. So that's out of the question.. My room is actually out of the sun's rays but definitely not without humidity (we live in the Asian region diba?).. I store my shoes in a dark closet.. I let them breathe from time to time.. What should I do to avoid this from happening to my other shoes?

Dude same here! I had my retro Air Jordan stocked in a closet. Akala ko bukbuk but definitely na Pulbos ang buong sole <_< I just used them for a year and after four years pangit na condition. Worse, the black pair even grew molds and mildew. I guess its the humidity which causes the growth but the disentegration of the soles could be due to the material (not necessarily the tropical climate)
