im a alaska fan..but got huge respect for Ginebra this season..I'm just hoping for ginebra if management will cook some trade should be for a legit big. No more additional sf playing pf position and no more guards.

it wouldn't be nice if every conference is may trade involving teams, first thing is that it would disrupt the teams' chemistry and camaraderie (good examples are those line ups of the Jawo led anejo to ginebra line-up, and the marlou acquino - bal david team during the 90's; those teams had stayed for quite some time that it produced championships for the team; team chemistry is very important) and the management should let the coaches and trainers do their work, we already have taha, espiritu and meirhofer, they should work with the raw talents of these bigmen whom i believe have the materials that can take over the reigns after hatfield, mamaril and raymundo retire from basketball.

trades are not the best solution, take a look at the ROS team, they had minimal trade transactions i think for the last 2 seasons and they already got a championship and they are a contender team.

Am wondering if they would like to experiment with mac b playing the pf position. Si v mack kasi binabantayan ng bigs ang alaska tapost si dozier and help d pag nag low post play or pag may nag drive. Baracael can hit the outside shot so baka magdalawang isip kung mag help d ito.

baracael will just be overpowered and overmatched by Thoss, Espinas and Dozier

Import replacement? Or walking wounded? Tough choice for the Barangay. Pwede bang kunin si Chris Alexander for the last three games? Hehehe.

 

Seriously though. This is where Ginebra is the most dangerous: fighting like there's no tomorrow.

I'll go with the Walking Wounded, an import change at this time will surely disrupt their chemistry which goest so well with V-Mack. The perimeter guys should step up in the perimeter as well as the wingmen in taking those rebounds and start playing an uptempo game. In the last 2 games Alaska chocked their half court sets which pivots around V-mack, he is virtually against 3 players every time he touches the ball (2 players are good defenders in Abueva and Thoss, 1 player a monster defender in Dozier). The Alaska pressure is shackling V-mack and for me a significant improvement in rebounding and playing a pedal-to-the-metal phase of game can give a better chance for Ginebra. Adjustments should be made by the locals not by the import.

nag-click yung starting unit ng barangay now due to that wala si MC47, i hope coach alfrancis would acknowledge this development even is mc47 will be cleared to play in the upcoming games. ganda ng flow ng offense, defense and ball rotation ng starting unit, in fairness to mc47 at this point in time it would benefit the team if he would accept an off-the bench role together with helterbrand and urbiztondo, they could provide the spark or sustain the momentum after the starters hit the bench or the starters are in deep trouble...

IMHO, Urbiztondo is a great fit for ginebra. Offense with defense and a little swagger. He played a good defense on lee na hirap gawin ni tenorio or labagala.

i would like to keep my reservations about Urbiztondo, medyo suspect kasi yung consistency nya on the offense and i would prefer to see labagala develop more, for the defense on lee, ellis could match-up and maybe espiritu due their length and athleticism. just my thoughts as a fan of the team...

I would say na it's time for Pacman to hang-up his gloves while he can and when he can still function as a normal person, it would be more painful for us to see him as the Filipino Muhammad Ali or even worse. Heed the calls of his mother and wife for those 2 are his true company.

this was his undoing, unfocused on his boxing training against Marquez, unfocused on boxing, he is lucky enough that he didn't suffer the same fate of Z Gorres, the message is clear to him, he must do only one profession he has to chose on either boxing, politics, showbiz or preaching...

kailangan nila 3 consistent na big men... as always ito ang problema natin...

kaya nga they need a legit back-up center (Asi and Thoss-can play both 5 & 4 positions) and a rebounding 4 (Williams), and hope also that Douthit would be mature enough that he is the focal point of the team, thus he can't be thrown out in a game in the 1st quarter. It did made the difference in the finals game in Dubai Cup. Sayang kung inaksyunan sana agad ni Penoy ung naturalization ni Douthit, kaya lang pending pa din inuna pa ang Porsche at Lexxus (pano kaya nabili un e 60k lng payslip nya... Hindi nga sya magnanakaw)...

Thus a marked and good improvement on the Gilas team...
