pareng IMMO, i call it "phasing" sa industriya natin...marami talagang talented from the underground scene na kailangan mag sacrifice just to stay in the scene and earn some bucks and still doing what you like most...examples ng mga talentado natin musikero...

Si Master Harley ng the Jerks, Rizal Under, POT at nag sesession pa sa mga show bands for japan...

Si Master Peter ng kung ano anong death metal ng marikina grumupo, Muskeepops at Grin Dept...

Same with me...langya, yung huling grupo ko ang tugtugan eh Earth Wind & Fire, Kalapana and shitty stuff like that, sige palo lang! pro dun ako naka experience ng disenteng talent fee as in per head ...pero whats important eh nandun pa din yung heart mo sa roots mo...sa origin mo...for me it would be ACID/ HEAVY METAL...

before sa sobrang higpit ng pangangailangan, we grabbed a gig in navotas without asking any background of the bar...we settled with P250/member for two sets kaso ang comedy dun its a patay-sindi house pala we did the first set and everybody was stunned already when we played Purple Haze as in shocked hindi nila maipaliwanag siguro sa sarili nila kung anong kanta yung tinugtog namin so the crowd was very happy when we did our last song for the first set...tapos sound check agad you susunod na banda, ang daming rowdy puro tibo, all girl band kasi as in naka uniporme! ...first song banat!...isang makahabag damdaming Chiquitita! P.I. talaga mga pare, lahat ng tao palakpakan at sigawan na parang pinapanood eh si michael jackson...nawalan kami ng kumpiyansa sa sarili :cry: ...wahaha :boo: kaya we decided to do straight blues sa second set para in a way maka relate mga tao, langya hindi pa din...may tatlong pumalakpak ata when we did our own bluesy version ng himig natin na may 10 minute instrumental ... pero the first bonus came after ng mga band...naglabasan na isa isa yung mga girls na napapansin naming puntahan ng puntahan sa DR namin, yun pala mga dancer hahaha ayus floor show pala pag dating ng 1AM, second bonus, when we ask for our TF we were given 1000 each, langya nagkamali yung kahera! the third and last bonus were waiting for us downstairs...yung mga dancers hahaha we got two of them to join our night cap kasi yung dalawang ka grupo namin may kasama ng mga pondo kaya sisingsisi Rock & Roll, Sex...drugs na lang kulang ... haaaay those were the days... :cry:

dream theater? have you tried other progressive rock bands? try mo lang ito bro: LIQUID TENSION EXPERIMENT. sila rin yung dream theater minus the vocalist and iba na ang bassist.

Death By Stereo played a strong set, one of the strongest of the night in fact.

 

What DAB are you referring to? Death After Birth ba? Medyo nalabuan din ako dun sa last sentence mo, pa-linaw naman ng tanong.

But by all accounts the show was great! Almost all metal genres were represented: from thrash (Kronos, Resurrected, Death By Stereo, Deceased), power/traditional metal (Lavos Beckon), grind (Chamber 69), black metal (Archaic Argot), doom (Sea of Rains), prog (Fuseboxx, Eternal Now). Death metal lang ang kulang. At ang isa pang nakakatuwa sa show, hindi kumonti yung audience as the night fell deeper. Karamihan sa crowd stayed from start to finish (well except for me  ), talagang lahat ng banda gusto nilang mapanood. Ganyan ka uhaw sa metal ang local audience natin.

 

They said there'll be another Gods of Metal later this month, also at Caliente. I'll post details once it's available. Hope you guys can go too!

nah..i didnt...sad, dahil lahat ng yayain ko lumabas na ng Fri at ekups day nila ang buong sat dahil sa take home :cool: (RAKenROL! :cool: ) kaya la me nakasama, my chic did'nt lyk the idea, baka daw himatayin siya kaya ayun...haaaay...will try to catch the next one though...promise wud have been nice to hear DBS again...btw anobody knew what happend to DAB? or sila sila na rin yung mga banda na yun?

so i am into Acid Rock: Sabbath (the reason why i am a metal head), Dio, Ozzy, Rainbow, Iron Maiden (Loyalist ako nito), Jimi Hendrix (dito ko natutunan lahat ng ka rock star-an ), Grateful Dead, Priest, Hammerfall, Ung ibang Euro Metal (lupit sa mga riffs at palo), my standards are Slayer, Testament, Obituary, Type O (yun yung mga time na galit ako sa mundo!) Dream Theater, Metallica, Mr. Big (galing nilang lahat walang tapon), Steve Vai, Eric Johnson, Yngwie Malmsteen (Rising force the best!, pero di ako guitarista) Punk din like, pistols, clash, Ramones (syempre) at many others na talagang papalayasin ka ng nanay mo sa ingay! (buti na lang i have my own pad na ngayon)

Pinoy dalawa lang...The Dawn and Juan Dela Cruz, pro im beginning to like banda ni Mr Red Horse beer..Razorgang este Wolfback este Razorback pala and ang contemporary na <S> seryoso sila eh :cool:

Worst: self explanatory na yung no turn over no extra income, boss pressures napapabayaan ang side line, maintaining your kick ass kissing attitude with the clients and maintaining your title as the super assh*le title holder... :cry: well thats the worst of it...sometimes diko na kilala sarili ko haaaaaay :cry:
