  1. hi docs, i would just like to ask you something.. my gums have been bleeding so bad lately even there's no contact from foreign bodies. My dentist advised my to undergo a "Deep Scaling" procedure. i just want to get a 2nd opinion from other dentists. thanks a lot

    oh...i take 500mg of vit c daily.

  2. its the best looking car in its class imho. :D (but if you can get rid of those altezza lights, the better)

power is adequate for a 1.6 liter

    features are very abundant

its got ABS, EBD, 4 wheel disc brakes, 16 inch wheels (for the 1.6V)

it has no fake wood inside it hehe!

but if you got more cash to burn get the 2.0R. its one good piece of machine.

    CONS for the mazda 3

    - i hate altezza lights ( personal taste)

    - only available in AT (not fun to drive) :(

  3. probably....

    OT: are you from HCP?

nope im not, im a car enthusiast... i love both hondas and toyotas. each has their own pros and cons. . nagkataon lang na lamang talaga sa fuel efficiency ang city compared to the altis. if you want, you can try asking TSIKOT, even TACP or GRUPOTOYOTA. These cars belong to different categories. the city ain't called an econobox for nothin :)

the better comparison to the altis would be the civic. peace! happy motoring. :D

  4. are you talking about the new city? the 2004 circa (yung parang kaskasan ng yelo ang shape?) if you are your figures are quite correct, but i am talking about the 2000-2001 city.

figures are according to the users.

nakow dude... mas fuel efficient pa din ang previous gen city. why? its power to weight ratio is really good. take the type Z for example...its D15 vtec engine runsat 115hp and its curb weight is less than 1000kg. baka naman wala na sa tono yung mga city ng kilala mo pare or "mabigat mga paa nila". :)

  5. but if you compare the engine capacity's ratio and its fuel consumption (km/l), i think the altis is still on the edge considering it consumes around 10 km/l on a 1.6 engine, compared to around 10 km/l on a city on a 1.5 liter engine.

may i know where these figures came from? though i agree with the altis' figures...imho the city's consumption is nowhere near 10km/liter. This econobox equipped with i-Dsi technology ( dual sparkplug per cylinder) can make 14km/liter. The proper comparison for the city would be the VIOS since both of them belong to the same category.

  6. Ahm, I know this is already OT.. I just wanna correct... Chrystler po.. sa Mitsubishi sila nag-invest... RENAULT ang nag-invest sa Nissan. ;)

oh sh*t sorry renault nga pala...

pero dun sa mga nakakaalam talaga sa kotse, nauna pa sila magkaron ng VTEC engine (iba nga lang ang term nila)

and oh ...im sorry HONDA is the pioneer in variable valve timing technology

you can read these articles if you want.

    http://www.4strokes.com/articles/honda/soichiro.asp

    http://www.mr2sc.com/websites/articles/vvt.htm

Mitsu's MIVEC, Nissan's VTC/VVL, toyota's VVTi, Porsche's Variocam and others only followed after Honda.

Btw, bad financial standing doesn't equate to less quality cars..

huh? look what's happening to mitsu right now, along with their financial crisis comes lots of recalls in their vehicles particularly in japan and other parts of asia.

    no money = less R & D = poor quality

palubog? really now....how come Honda is among the only ONE OF TWO jap car companies that is purely japanese owned.

unlike your favorite nissan, it needed a takeover from Daimler-Chrysler during the late 90's coz they were already losing money. Having a cool aircon is not the sole basis to consider a car good. But i must admit, women like cars that has good air conditioning and i agree with you that Nissan's Calsonic AC is really good. ;)

With regards to Honda Casas, avoid those owned by the Ayala's, they are really known for bad service, with the exception of Honda Shaw.

As for the suspension, we really can't tell which one is better because it really depends on how we drive the car, if you don't slow down in going thru deep potholes masisira talaga ang suspension mo. But if ywe base the suspension on the type they used

HONDA - Macpherson strut/ double wishbone

TOYOTA - Macpherson strut / Torsion Beam

id pick the double wishbone combo anytime! :D it's less noisy and is less "hard" compared to the macphersons. it is also being used by jaguars, benzes and even FORMULA 1 cars. Macphersons are gaining popularity in modern cars now because it's cheaper as compared to the wishbones.

too bad Honda used used macpherson's for their front suspension in the current civic, but the EK or 96 to 2000 civic used to have double wishbones all the way.

  8. ahh regarding the shin, just loosening the strap a bit and you'll be fine... :) and before the the mesh theres a protective cushion naman e, just make sure its fully extended. kasalanan ko din kasi mahilig ako ankle socks lang. hehe :D

but overall i love this J19's...couldnt ask for more. nice pair of shoes

  9. It won't really make much of a difference since origs and fakes are both made in those sweatshops in china.

With Phillip knight's cost cutting strategy to generate more profit, quality of both products aint that far from each other.

  10. i play basketball and whether fake or orig...pag minalas ka talaga ma iinjure ka, walang pinipili ang injury kahit Nike ang suot mo o KAYPEE   the J19s i got from roxysnonie is pretty comfortable.

the thing i noticed with fakes is that the sole is a bit hard compared to the orig, so pag mas matagal ka naglalaro mas maraming stress sa lower leg.

  11. Korek ka jan pardsssss... pero yun honda pioneered the technology? mali rin yata yun ah.. siguro, honda lang ang nag-advertise na ganun na ang technology.. dali pards.. alam mo yan eh.. dali, explain mo nga..

they did start the technology on the NSX way back 91

it was made famous on the civic EF9 from 88-91 which carries the b16 engine which was used also in the EG, EK chassis

the other car companies followed soon...lots of car co.s have their own version of variable valve timing tech. MIVEC for mistus, ZETEC for fords, VARIOCAM for porsches aside from what pardonme has mentioned

  12. syempre, honda accord! VVTI is nothing compared to an I-VTEC!

(sayang nga lang at weaker engine yung accord dito compared sa japanese version)

VVTi is nothing compared to i-vtec? they have the same principle dude, difference is honda pioneered the technology.

in my opinion id get the camry the accord sold here is underpowered. not unless they release the 2.4L accord here that would be a different story. hehe!
