  1. that's just my experience bro, anyways, it's not a generalization naman and i do understand where you are coming from but when i was in SINGAPORE, i have met PINOYS whom are very nice.....kahit ngayon mo lang sila nakilala the fact that your both pinoys makes it even warmer to tell you directions, and other things you ask them...

    :)

bro tanglewood, correct ka dyan, if ur referring to pinoys working abroad, what i was referring to were pinoy tourists, un ang may masasamang ugali, not everyone but alot compared to tourists of other countries

  2. miss, yvette, go to jumbo seafood at clack quay for the best chili crap, go to the website ieatishootipost for singapore food blogs

tanglewood, people in singapore arent rude nor cold, its just that most of them take their work seriously, in all honesty, filipinos that go abroad have the worst attitude ever, sobrang feeling, just start at the airport and you can see all those people na feeling rich, lalo na pag abroad ang yayabang, nakakaasar

  3. Pwede magpatulong gumawa ng travel itinerary? Will be going kasi this September and prime purpose is visiting Universal Studios and others will come next. Siguro 5 days at most. Alanganin kasi yung matitirhan namin doon e so in search tuloy kami ng murang hotel, kahit walang luxuries basta affordable and ok naman for average.

personally, i go for comfort pag hotel, para todo relax, kaya medyo sa mahal ako tumitira, pero if u want budget, theres abc hotel in bugis, 20$ per pax per night, but kama lang at cr, may breakfast pa at na tinapay, pwede mo search sa internet, may pics dun, tingnan mo kung papasa sa standards mo, ang liit ng universal studios, 1/3 lang compared to hk disneyland, the3 singapore zoo is a much better place to go, mas sulit, ok din ung jurong bird park, medyo boring un sentosa and night safari, go to clark quay at night, medyo pricey lang beer, but nice to hang out, dont forget to eat at marche located at 313 orchard and vivo city

thanks for sharing. i particularly appreciate knowing that they have an outlet store in orlando. can't wait.

naiinis lang ako because i had the chance to buy the y-3 while i was in honolulu last april (ahem :D) for us$200 but i didn't fork the dough knowing i'd be in hong kong after 2 weeks. tapos us$240 pala yung same shoe sa hong kong. big mistake.

bro, it used to be.. unfortunately, times have changed.

but you are right about buying things not found here. made me laugh there.

kaso, almost everything can be bought here. and the ones (brands) that aren't, i don't particularly sponsor

used to be when exchange rate was 1:3.3, but not medyo mahal na, but still brands like uniqlo is so much cheaper compared to uniqlo in singapore, h&m is not found here, lots of nice shoes in mongkok, automatic 20% off even for new arrivals, lots o variety on new balance shoes, ben sherman shirts are nice compared to those old stocks being sold at shangrila

thats why i rarely go to hongkong now to shop, singapore for me is better, lots of brands to choose from, will be going this wednesday for the great singapore sale, hehe

i wish i knew that d-mop sold their y-3's higher than the stores in the states. otherwise i would've bought the pair i saw the month before i went to hong kong.

just to clarify, you did say that you source your y-3's from the us or uk but not necessarily online, right?

not all things are cheaper in hongkong, adidas superstars are a little more expensive, but pumas in mongkok are a little bit cheaper, but some brands are relatively cheap, uniqlo, h&m are quite reasonable, normally i go to hongkong to buy things that are not found in the philippines, kasi kung meron dito, whats the point of having it..hehe

  6. mga masters, question. ndi ako nakabili ng USD or sing dollars here in Manila. Has anyone tried bringing around Php50k to singapore? I know php10k lng ung max to take out of the country. stupid rule. thanks! san ako magpapalit if my hotel is somewhere near clarke quay?

bakit naman dun ka magpapalit, eh kaya nga may rule, lugi ka pa pag peso papalit mo, di nila masyado gusto ang peso kaya di maganda rate, ang dami kayang palitan dito

  7. as a rule, i usually look for a hotel that costs <$200, particularly in the $100-150 range. bihira ako makakita ng a good hotel that is < $100 but, meron naman. these are the bargains, the steals, and i rejoice when i find an acceptable one in this price range.

but reality is, mahal na lahat, pati accommodation. medyo mabigat bumayad ng $150 pero this price is beginning to be on the cheap side nowadays. but if the price comes with buffet breakfast, tapos kids are allowed to eat free pa, then that qualifies as a steal. the next time i go to sg, the mandarin will be at the top of my list of places to stay.

    thanks for sharing.

kanski, last dec 2008, i stayed at the carlton near city hall, 4 star hotel lang sya, went with my wife and only one son of mine, pinayagan din syang kumain sa buffet breakfast, but breakfast was just soso, mas mahal pa sya sa mandarin oriental, actually if you book before xmas, you get it cheaper, but i think price will increase specially on the 24th or 25th, ill be going back this june, and because of the great singapore sale, prices are a little bit higher, i booked at meritius mandarin at orchard road, medyo mahal sya at 197$ with buffet breakfast

  8. ^

sabi na nga mayaman ka brad. i mean, you must be if you consider $150 not too expensive. :) but then, $150 does seem like a reasonable rate for the mandarin. not outright cheap, but reasonable.

ive been to singapore for vacation 4 times, will be going back in june, everytime i stayed at a different hotel, the mandarin oriental was the best but cheapest hotel ive stayed, my kid was even allowed to eat at the buffet breakfast, soi think its really cheap considering how expensive food in singapore is, hehe and daming libreng mineral water kaya, 1.5 sing kaya isang bote, sulit talaga, and best buffet breakfast ive eaten my life

  9. correct gazaq, actually lahat ng kilala ko ngayon dont buy rolexes any more, friends of mine just bought panerais and audimars, even hublot big bang is the better choice now, am contemplating on buying a PAM myself, even my IWC looks better than my rolexes!!

  10. in the past i buy lacoste, but i think its overrated, people with no budget to buy will save money to buy one but have no budget for other things, its how u wear your shirts thats important, i even like the C2 polo shirts with the philippine islands as logo

  11. When I was a teen, my cuz brought me to this Amoy restaurant near the river (not the estero ha), na ang pangalan e Ong Lai Kee or something. If anyone's ever tried it, i guess they can vouch that they serve one of the meanest adobos ever. Yun lang yata ang paboritong kainin dun but i did notice that they had noodle pulling equipment kaya, go figure. Anyways, the adobo was great, with a mejo malabnaw na sauce pero sobrang flavorful, and they would serve rice in those small chinese bowls (parang sa dragon ball cartoons), and give you all you want na rice and sauce ng adobo (which in itself is ulam enough, its practically its own food group).

We went there mga 2-3 times. And ever since, I have never been able to go back. Geez, I miss that adobo.

its hong lai kee, it was located near pasig river but in the muelle de binondo area, its called fundidor street, near divisoria mall, the food there was really delicious, in the late 70's to early 80's, it closed down in the early 90's cus the sidestreet in front of it was closed, and people would have to walk a longer ways and the alley was somewhat dark, so business became slow, but the tofu was the best!

  12. i have rolex exlorer 2 & a submariner two tone ..... the price will really appreciate. but you have to wear it .

like submariner for five years i have not worn it . i put it on my safe the gold plate near the handle was remove.

i brought it to makati to repair it. it cost me 9600 to oil it the timing have to be adjusted..wheew even my explorer 2

i wear it every day i want it to be polish coz marami na rin gasgas . kulang din nang oil ... grabe maintenance bro. it

cost me 8600 for it ....

if u compare your old rolex to the new ones, the price really appraciates, but if u sell yours, they will ask for the year you bought it, you will be surprised that the price they will offer probably will be less than that of what u shelled out, unless its a rare swiss watch, and because you had it buffed, the lesser the value of your rolex

  13. hands down winner talaga yang chino trinidad na yan, d naman nag rereport ng game, kundi sino nanunuod, mga sikat na fans, always in awe sya pag nandun, considering every year sya pinadadala,, grabe, waste of money tong solar sports na to sa kanya, halatang lakers kampi nya, nung humabol celtics nawalan ng boses, if you want to be a sportscaster, you should not show any bias toward any team

second place is andy jao, kala mo kung sinong magaling, lalo na pag sa billiards, hilig mag sabi ng masamang salita about the lesser known players, akala mo sya ay expert..

  14. i want to have a TOY WATCH.

i have one, its so useless, madaling masira, the plastic strap madaling mabyak, mabilis pumasok ang tubig, i bought 6 of those from the states, pag males ang sumuot mas madaling masira, i you bm the strap hard on something, baka magbreak agad yung plastic

  15. i dont think theres a watch that will be good for 30 years and will cost only 500 to 600$, vintage seikos would be great, but i dont think there would be any swiss watch that would fit your description, a low end tag heuer maybe, or tissot

  16. lau chan--------the best yung mala soup if u like super spicy it cost 120.00

    pin yang ordinary hot pot

gee....bro...beefy di ko alam dito ka din pala sa malate nagtatambay.........he he he he he i know the owner personally. Pa am time ka pm me we can have dinner there. Then try mo yung mala soup tiyak lalabas yung sipon mo.

ur correct here jam, lau chan is the best, i have been eating here here for maybe 5 years now

  17. I see. :)

    I do love his watches!

he has some nice watches, as i said, i offered to buy that omega, but he texted me that i swap my iwc for that omega, what was he thinking? was laughing inside when i went back to my office...
