Perception is just like Taste you might find certain types of food appetizing while others might find the same type apalling I agree,its just a state of mind.

here's my 2 cents, worth beautiful women fall in love with ugly or mediocre guys because they want to gain the upperhand in the relationship, lets face it ugly guys are great lovers they are loyal, generous,sincere and can be easily controlled and manipulated because of their unfathomable love.

I'm not generalizing though, it's still a case to case basis since love is beyond reason.
