  1. If your in Festival mall in alabang. Try Fukuya, i can't remember the exact name. its at the second floor near wendys.

They serve good Okonomiyaki with very a reasonable price. (100+ pesos only) and i think its their specialty judging from the picture frames of okonomiyaki in the walls.

Okonomiyaki is actually quite easy to make, and the only odd ingredients that you'll need are the okonomiyaki sauce, Japanese mayo, and katsuoboshi, all of which can be bought at a Japanese grocery store such as the ones you'll find in Mile Long in Makati. I've tried doing this several times and to my mind it's almost as good as the genuine article in Japan. I found the recipe here. There's even a recipe for the sauce there, but I've never tried doing it as I still have a few bottles of sauce obtained from a recent trip to Japan.

Anyway, my Japanese friends seem to think that Furusato is pretty good, albeit quite pricey (but hey, if they're paying I don't mind...). Kagayaki in T. Morato is also said to be excellent, although I've not yet tried eating there myself. That Japanese restaurant in El Pueblo is interesting too (the name escapes me at the moment, but it starts with the Japanese kanji 和).

  2. I have only four, but the collection is growing. From left to right, Saber from Fate/Stay Night, and Haruhi Suzumiya, Mikuru Asahina, and Yuki Nagato from the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. Next time I'm in Akihabara I'll try to get some Evangelion figurines next...

  3. I was with them for over a year, up until about three months ago. I've had lots and lots of issues with them, and I wouldn't recommend the service unless you have absolutely no other choice (as was the case with me). They occasionally send their billing statements late, and they are very quick to disconnect service if you have failed to pay, late statement or not. Over the year and a half that I had to endure their service they did this to me four times, and they had nothing but lame excuses. Another thing that irks me is that they put you behind a NAT. That hurts when you like doing BitTorrent or other similar programs. Most other DSL services give you a real IP address...

They're better than nothing, but if you can get anyone else, get anyone else!

  4. Try nyo yung hotel there at the corner of New York St. and St. Mary St. Tall building; can't be missed, doesn't seem to have a name other than 'HOTEL' and a kiss-mark sign. Last time I was there ok naman siya, mura lang at tahimik. Only problem is no hot water. Yung Fersal sa may Annapolis ok din, kaso mukhang overnight rates lang sila, no short time.

  5. Been using GNU/Linux since 1995, Slackware 3.0. It's grown a long way since then, and have used it on every computer I've ever owned since then. I actually do it for a living, so you might say that I'm something of a guru.

My advice to anyone who wants to give it a shot: Try Ubuntu 7.04. If you want a copy have a blank DVD ready and give me a message...

  6. Japanese kanji meaning 'rain dragon' or 'hidden genius'. Storm is storm, wyrm is dragon. Pinanganak kasi sa year of the dragon na may malaking bagyo. 蛟龍 こうりゅう (Kouryuu).

Ang magaling sa hapon, puwede ikuwento naman kung ano sabi sa page na yun... Pagawa na sana ako ng tattoo pero di ko alam lahat ng katangian ng dragon... :upside:
