  1. my advice for those intending to subscribe to Smart Bro... do some research first in your area... check if a Smart cell site is near your residence & has a clear line of sight to a possible location where you can place the outdoor antenna... try to go around & see if a lot of your neighbors are subscribed... you'll know this through the wireless antenna located outside their homes... if you're very far from a cell site... it's not advisable to subscribe since you'll just be frustrated with the connection speed... if there are too many subscribers in you area... it's not advisable too... remember that the bandwidth is shared between all the subscribers in an area... the higher the number... the less bandwidth to share... ergo... slow or intermittent connection... hope this helps... :):):)

  2. There is no problem in using a "Trust Agreement" for this. Kaya lang, ang legal principle na applicable dito ay "the contract is what the law defines it to be, and not what it is called by the contracting parties." In other words, kahit ano pa ang title ng dokumento niyo, kung ito ay utangan talaga, "Contract of Loan" pa rin siya.

thanks pareng rocco69 for the info... highly appreciated... :):):)

  3. to our legal eagles here... i'd like to ask if a "TRUST AGREEMENT" may be used for an agreement between a party lending money to another party... what's the repercussions of using this means as a contract between the two... thanks in advance to your replies... :):):)

  4. here's a situation wherein i *might* allow the employee to view his 201 file.

    - if there is a written complaint about him which has been filed, and that he wants to see first-hand the accusation against him so he may be able to respond properly.

but in that case, I'd pull out the document in question and show it to him, or give him a copy.  But not show the rest to him.

Some years back, I was only 1 of 3 people who could see the 201 files of all our 1000+ employees without having to have a reason.  Of course, my own 201 file was kept by my boss elsewhere. :D

thanks council for your assistance... so i guess it's a subtle way of saying that it's confidential...

  5. Yes, an employee may review his/her 201 file.

    But for a valid reason.

As a rule, I never allow them to see their own (or others') files.

They have to make a request, and provide a valid reason.

Come to think of it, nobody has ever given me a satisfactory reason.

thank you for the clarification... satisfactory reason is different from person to person especially when there's no written rule/guideline... if i may ask... what may be a satisfactory reason for you?

    thanks again... :):):)

  6. quick question guys, pwede ba talaga i convert a prepaid number into a post paid plan (globe), diff globe branches give me diff answers eh, including their hotline...

technically pwede... ngunit ang pagkakaalam ko ay yung first 3 digits ng cellphone number mo determines whether pre-paid or post-paid ka sa isang telco... naka-experience kasi ako na may makausap sa customer service ng isang telco... nung hiningi yung number ko at narinig yung 1st 3 digits... tinanong agad ako at sinabing hindi daw nila akong pwedeng i-entertain dahil "**-paid" daw ako... so i guess they know at once if you're a pre-paid or post-paid subscriber of their network... :):):)

  7. look minumura mo ba ako? rspect others opinion pls kabago bago ko dito ganyn ka :(

the way i see it... hindi ka naman minumura ni clitlicker sa kanyang post ms_anonymus08... ang gusto lang nya sigurong sabihin ay kung hindi ka naka-platinum postpaid subscription sa globe eh ang trato nila sayo ay "sh*t"...

  8. to our experts in the thread... may i consult you regarding my PC DVD drive (asus 16x DVD optical drive)... i've been noticing lately that it has been rejecting a lot of the CDs, VCDs & DVDs i've been feeding it... this did not happen before... can our experts help me on the following questions...

    1. What is the lifespan of a PC DVD Drive? Mine has been in use for at least 2 years now.

    2. Can my problem be solved by cleaning the optical lense? If yes, how do you clean it when you can't physically open the drive.

    3. From the situation I mentioned, can it be concluded that my optical drive is busted already?

thanks in advance for your assistance... :):):)

  9. Globe's 10 centavos by the second is indeed a very attractive package.  If they cut the text messaging charges they'll be attractive enough for their former subscribers to come back.

Now Smart has to counter that- 10 centavoc per second.  Their unlimited text between smart subscribers should be fixed not by the day.

look at what globe & smart is doing now with their promos... ang reason nila dati noong naglabas ng circular ang NTC on the "per-second or pulse" billing na mahihirapan sila to implement at baguhin yung system nila... eh bakit ngayon dahil sa pressure from sun cellular... ginawa nila ngayon...

plain & simple reason... gusto nila protektuhan ang kanilang malaking kita... :thumbsdownsmiley: :thumbsdownsmiley: :thumbsdownsmiley:

kaya mga dudes... kahit ayaw nyo sa sun cellular... magpasalamat tayo dahil sa ginawa nila... na-pressure ang ibang telcos to re-assess their tariff rates... :):):)

  10. I beg to disagree!  On my own experience- it is easier for me to use my back-up Smart Cell to call or text a Sun user. :)

About dominant carriers such as Globe and Smart makes tons of profits before Sun came out.  So why not reinvest such profits to open moe "channels". <_<

as mentioned previously by another member... it depends on your location & the time of call... telcos naturally allocate more channels in highly populated areas & locations that they observe have high traffic transmission... you will likely experience problems during peak-hours & located in a high traffic area... :) :) :)

to answer your query... the simple answer why the telcos are not reinvesting their profits to open more channels is GREED & CUT-THROAT COMPETITION... :thumbsdownsmiley: :thumbsdownsmiley: :thumbsdownsmiley:

  11. ok ba jury judgement u.s style kung gawin dito :D

opinion from a non-lawyer... mukhang hindi pwede sa atin ito... masyado tayong emotional at kulang sa resources to protect the jury from influence... :):):)

  12. sending mms or text from globe to smart and vise versa, its basically interconnection problem...its area has assign channels for interconnection....globe to globe or smart to smart should not be a problem...but inter telco.....depending on the channel allocated, traffic, delays are bound to happen..even voice...not being able to connect...NTC has ruled that x number of channels should be allocated in relation to the number of subscriber of each carrier has...but unfortunately...both companies seems to find reasons to delay or not to implement.  as to delay of text and mms same carrier..can also happen...its also channel allocation by the telco per area....within metro manila...no problem...but say texting to babuyan island or some far off location were there supposed service ... again depending on traffic and channel allocation...delay can or non reciept can happen...that same carrier...

telcos...same w/ landline...will allocate x number of channel for outgoing and incoming depending on the number of subscriber incoming and out going traffic...

and that guys is how the cookie crumble!!!!

you hit the nail in the head with this explanation... this is what i've been telling people when they complain with connection problems using their cellphones... this complaint is more appropriate for sun cellular users... users from other telcos are having difficulty connecting with sun... this also happens the other way around simply because of dominant carriers not opening more channels so that it can accommodate more simultaneous calls to & from the different carriers... you might not notice it but this also happens to calls to & from different carriers of landlines...

  13. Broadband is better than DSL.

i think you're confused in comparing the two terms you just mentioned... DSL is actually a type of "broadband connection"... so that we won't be OT... both DSL & cable are considered broadband simply because they reach speeds higher than what a dial-up service offers... regardless what service you choose... consider the following... feedback from other users... speed of connection vs. value for money... reliability (i.e. always-up connection)... availability in your area... customer support... tie-in period for the service...

  15. Why do customer complains?

    1. If they do not satisfied the service you provide!

For the customer point of view:

    1.Meaning thats right!

For the management point of view:

    1. Settle down the problem by conversation/ interaction.

    2. There is a room for improvement to succed business.

Remember we are all customers!!! :)

Note: Put yourself in the shoes of a customer what can you say?
