  1. hello Crystalmare, sadly time marches on. fortunately there is such a thing as the internet  you can find most on the game books in torrent. advise of mine though is steer clear away from D&D 4th ed. It sucks! stick with 3.5 ed. or, you could do what a lot of people who grew up with D&D and loved 3.5 did, and that is move their campaigns over to Paizo's Pathfinder. the game is basically 3.5 on steroids in a different setting.

Shadowrun is still there, and if you like the old RPG style of Mechwarrior and Battletech, they are bringing out the Classic series to please the fan base that was alienated by the Jihad storyline...

4th Ed. isn't a complete waste...especially if you are a Ranger or thief :P hehehe

I wish there was a cafe dedicated to tabletop games so that it would put a little pressure on the players to attend, sadly the game I was in has stalled indefinetly until the players can get their schedules fixed :(

    good evening! angat lang po!

Nyahahaah pa-angat angat nalang tong thread na to :P

  2. Was doing some back reading on this topic and it saddens me that the number of active players have dwindled. :(

I am currently in a D&D campaign (3.5 Rules) with some friends from Eastwood City. If anyone in the area is interested in playing then just send me a PM :)

My favorites are D&D, Shadowrun, Mechwarrior, Battletech, Marvel and Robotech.

  3. For us Filipinos I believe the Jailboken PS3 has started to peel ahead of the Xbox 360. And strange/Sad (Kayo Bahala mag Decide) as it is it was all due to Piracy, Its pretty ingrained in the majority of us that if we can get it cheaper then that would be the winner, Having lived in other countries I can say they would be aghast at the concept but here we are reveling in the fact that we can get games at a cheaper price.

Yes I have a PS3 and Yes it is Jailbroken B) :P hehehe

  4. I used to workout with a friend after work, but being in the call center biz my schedule lets me off at around 5 or 6 am so technically morning was when we started. We did this 3 times a week and in two week I could actually feel my legs get better and my then sedentary body start getting lighter. Sadly my schedule changed and now I'm without a workout buddy. I can feel the this sedentary lifestyle starting to bog me down again :(

  5. got it chief. thanks :) will try the place this weekend.

Just ate at Sambokujin for lunch.

The damage during lunch is 500 without drinks.

The dinner buffet will cost you around 600. That's the same price during weekends.

I recommend going for lunch during the weekdays to save on cost then workout galore because of all the grilled meat you would probably be scarfing down. The concept is pretty good and the place is clean. Since I work in Eastwood I'm pretty confident that Sambokujin Currently beats out any other buffet restaurant in our area.

There is also another competitor in front of Eastwood called Bono Yaki. Haven't tried that out yet but will try to review it next month. IF anyone wants to go food trip to try it out then just PM your contact number so we can set a Eating EB :)

  6. Hi Bernice!!!!

Hot seat ha... well, i really have no questions but wish you a longer sober time :)

til our next out of town deary :) and hopefully mas madami tayo....by a couple of people hehehehe :)

  7. I haven't back read enough to see if this was posted but just in case, here is a really good recipe me and my drinking buddies used to make for our nightly binges

    Corned Beef with Corn

    Ingredients:

2 cans corned beef, the spicier the better

    1 can Corn kernels

    1 bulb onion roughly chopped

    6 cloves garlic minced

    1 egg

    Knorr seasoning

    pepper

    sili labuyo....optional

In a high fire saute the garlic and onion, add the corned beef and the water from the can of corn, reduce until very little water left then add knorr seasoning. then add the corn, stir fry until the aroma fills up the kitchen, and very hot. crack an egg over the dish and stir like crazy, serve on a steak plate. If there are any left overs then mix it with day old rice and create a great fried rice dish....if the non spicy version was done....

  8. Asides from the burnt tasting (charcoal) coffee, its the appearance and the ambiance. Though I loath this particular brand of coffee I can't knock it since I work in a call center. If given a choice between the instant crap coffee nescafe gives us, and charbucks....I'll pick charbucks any day....if only they let us bring in our own coffee makers.... haaayyy... guess I'll just have to save up for that bodum coffee press :P :headsetsmiley:

  9. Just last night me and my GF were loking for a nice place to have dinner at eastwood when we chanced upon this quaint little restaurant. The name of he place is Benissimo at the 2nd area of eastwood cyberpark. the food was a bit pricey but ok but what really cought our attention was their selection of ice cream at 150 an order its a bit pricey, it consists of 3 rather normal scoops of an ice cream which you can get a free tasting of, yes you can taste first before ordering. We had the pistachio ice cream and I must say the experience was different, it was not the usual pistachio flavor i was used to with the commercial ice creams but it actually had that bitter, moldy taste you get from eating real pistachio's. Different but good. I was deciding actually on getting the amaretto but my GF wanted the pistachio, when i tried the amaretto it was like a burst of flavor in my mouth. The place was nice and cozy so I would rate it as ok. Word of warning though, the price is a bit much so Its recommended to go there if you are on a romantic date and not just tripping for Ice Cream :)

  10. tong yang pan pacific received a lot of bad rap during the late nineties when its mainland chinese co-owner took over and  started to scrimp by buying seafood from discount wholesale dealers in sta. ana market instead of the direct imports from roxas city. there is also a breakaway group of tong yang part-owners who opened dong ya hotpot along banawe.  it is similar to tong yang but has more choices.

Thanks ATONG ANG, I'll try the banawe area. I've been craving for something like that for years :)

  11. just went to tong yang at pan pacific the other night, it's an all you can eat shabu shabu style... nice choices of sea food, with fish balls, meat balls, squid balls, squid, shrimp, crab cakes, shell fishes, vegetables, and even meat, like chicken, pork, beef are also available, there's a halo halo bar, ice cream and you have a choice of sate soup or chicken soup for you table....

in my opinion, the choices aren't that bad...

    Dude....whats the damage?

is it any different from the tong yang at jupiter?

  12. PAGING CCL :) ... we talked about saisaki as a more affordable alternative (395 peso-saisaki-only weekday lunch/495-peso ultimate buffet compared to hyatt's 1,200) .  tramway has really slid down the drain in a matter of months.  best choices are the west avenue branch, edsa conneticut or padre faura branch for fresher food or easier access to commuting participants.  just give me the date and number of people and i'll take care of the reservations

Sounds cool, so far its just me and kidyot who are interested, if there are any other members who like eating as much as we do they can post here or pm us. Me and kidyot pretty much see each other on a daily basis due to work so contacting us won't be a problem when a definite schedule is available. :)
