dito samin sa quezon city maraming projects si mayor SB ..at sabi ni vice herbert sa mga speech nya, itutuloy lang daw nya mga projects with improvements syempre...bilid naman ako kay bistek ..kaso yung mga kalaban nya ang daming gimik at propaganda. pero alam ko maraming matalinong botante alam nila ang kung sino ang dapat pagkatiwalaan at hindi.

for me, SB has set the standards in how a city should be run. from a "mismanaged" city during the term of his predecessor, he was able to make quezon city one of the best emerging cities in asia and in the world.

personally, i still would pick SB if he runs for re-election. the sad thing though is he is on his way out.

now that the campaign has started, we in QC are left with five mayoralty hopefuls that i doubt would match SB's track record and performance.

I dont know if this is the right thread but i just want to seek some help in repairing my imac g3 (quite old, i know). The CRT is having a display problem. Pictures are not crisp and whole resolution looks kinda snowy. So its very hard to read documents or web pages.

 

it has Mac OS 10.4 installed on it. firmware is updated (4.1.9). And i recently replaced the memory battery because of the problem. Since memory battery has been replaced, I have also done a pram reset as well. I also tried adjusting display settings but the problem still persist.

 

Can anyone help me on how to solve this problem (aside from replacing the unit)?

the "universal access" fast key was activated and the zoom button was accidentally turned-on.

now everything is back to normal. thanks.

i have some trouble with my old imac (g4 17-inch flat panel/lcd):

• PPC 800mhz

• OS X 10.4.11

• 512mb memory

• NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 32 MB

the problem just surfaced today when i accidentally clicked on something and all of sudden my desktop expanded making everything (icons) out of the monitor/screen--and i have to navigate awkwardly given the big threshold.

now, i can't get my imac's widescreen tft panel to work with its native resolution of 1440x900... although it says in the system preferences (display control panel) that it is on 1440x900. even when i run systems info it is @ 1440x900. but i guess the current size fits more than a 20-inch display.

is there a way i can have the display back to its default? really need some help.

did you know that the powermac center in sm megamall was raided by the nbi today? the nbi agents were acting from a complaint made by sony-bmg records and other music companies noting that powermac is illegally downloading copyrighted songs.

seized from powermac were several computer units and accessories--worth P2 million--allegedly used in illegal downloading of copyrighted songs in MP3 format.

Wrong. Specs are NOT good! For $200 more you actually get a slower processor, a smaller hard drive and no optical drive! Obviously certain compromises had to be made to make everything fit into a much smaller form factor. It's also worth mentioning that the 80GB SSHD version costs $3000. Even the top of the line MBP doesn't cost that much!

 

For just $200 more you could already purchase an MBP. Or better yet, for $200 less, you could get a MacBook with better specs.

 

From a price perspective, the Air is not a wise purchase. Think of it as the Porsche Cayman of the computing world: more expensive than the Boxster, but no where as good as the 911. It sort of sits in a middle ground that sensible consumers will not be able to comprehend.

if it's the logic board, medyo malaki nga ang problema mo dyan... yan pa ba yung clamshell?

medyo maykahirapan na nga yan i-service... but if you have friends in the states you could ask them to buy the logic board for you... maraming old mac resource sites na murang-mura binebenta ang logic boards, etc... siguro tops na $300... pero you can still look for bargains in the net...

a friendly reminder though, don't ever try to have it shipped to you here in the philippines... grabe tumaga ang customs... kahit IT or computer component yan which is supposed to be covered by tariff exemptions, tatagain ka pa rin... so, ang pinaka-praktikal is paki-suyo na lang na ipadala sayo.. wag kang magkakamaling ipadala thru fedex or ups... balikbayan box siguro pwede.

you know...somehow i could relate to this post...from a girl's point of view that is...

 

you see...my bf seems to have less of an inclination to do the "nasty" with me...especially in places where doing the nasty seems to be on 24/7.

 

don't get me wrong...we do make love...at least once a week but that's because i get all pouty if we don't.

 

we started getting hot and heavy even before we became bf-gf...ganun katindi yung attraction namin...we we're like doing it 6-7 times in like 24 hours. we were so hungry for each other. pero alam ko naman that the love grew na lang between us because nga we didn't start off in the traditional way..and he just got out of a stiffling relationship with his now ex.

 

now that he's really in love with me...he seems more reserved with me. he's refuses to take me to a motel kahit na raring to go ako. he could sleep beside me hugging me all night without getting it on with me. okay lang sana yun kaso ang problem eh...gusto ko!

 

it sometimes get me frustrated...parang ang ingat ingat niya sa akin eh ako naman gusto ko na na bastusin na man niya ako in bed minsan...get's nyo? hehehehhehehe...wala lang exciting kasi yung medyo gugulatin na lang niya ako ng quickie.

 

oh well...anyways...this dosn't just happen for platonic relationships...this happens even to those who are in love. ewan ko ba...may nangyayari atang transformation sa guys eh. if the guy takes the girl seriously enough to marry her...he holds a higher regard for her...and he would avoid anything that would tarnish that image.
