  1. heard a local rap song recently dissing andrew e. its funny as s@%t. haha. dont know the artist or the song title though

yeh thats called dear kuya by syke.. its old.. but its still funny.. thats the only thing i heard from that rapper

havent seen the new ciara s@%t but i think ive heard about it. gonna check that rick ross s@%t too.

damn i havent been in front of the tv for a long time now. lol

yeh the new ciara and 50 s@%t is controversial.. with the ciara-bow wow break-up thing going on..

bow wow even had sumthing to say about it in "outta my system".. which is an ayt song.. check it out..

  2. amen to that B. Its so annoying

kaladeiscope world is a great song too bad some newbies revived the song and its now crappy :thumbsdownsmiley:

RP was a former schoolmate of mine he realy though of himself as a rapper. If I remember right during one of our school programs he performed Eminem's Cleaning Out My Closet :P

But I enjoyed his song "Igalaw mo lang" maybe because it has that Chinna Ortaleza girl on it and the beats kind funky :P

sino nag revive nung parody na yn? dont get me wrong i like that song and i love francis m, pero ginaya niya yng beats nung kaladeiscope world dn db.. pero inamin niya so its more like a parody than a rip off..

but anyways sabi nga ni herbert sa kanta ni kiko " wag tayo mangaya, kng mangagaya ka man siguraduhin mong mas mahusay sa kinopyahan at matinong matino"

    igalaw mo lng?

yeh that was a phat song.. and a nice video too.. iced out productions dw yn db? daming cameo asteeg..

if you dont mind me askin saan kayo naging mag kaklase and waht age?

i really got no problems with pinoy rap. you just gotta stop the "love song chorus" that you got from an old pinoy love song.

man! am i the only one having problems with that? you know there are a lot, and i really mean a lot of talented pinoys out there. i heard some freestyle battles over the radio a few years back and they are good. like with foreign hiphop, im really not into hating and s@%t. i listen to it and if i like it then i like it. i dont give a f#&k if you say its not so dope for you. here are some locals that i listen to:

Francis M. - you gotta listen to the master rapper

Andrew E. - old school andrew e it is. not so much into the new stuff.

Of course theres masta plann, death threat, chinese mafia, sun valley crew, legit misfitz, urban flow, madd poets, ghetto doggs, gloc 9, mike swift, oblaxz, mista blaze, d-coy, 7 shots and bb clan. you know theres a lot of underground artists, all we got to do is support. i think even boboli is helpin out sell unsigned artists. they have displays of cds in the counter near the entrance of their store in glorietta.

*just dont make me listen to RP... richie paul i think, bro of richard guttierez. nyahaha

yeh i know waht u mean bout the "love chorus thingy" its getting annoying already..

    who's hating pinoy rap?

i think no one here's hating.. im juz saying that we're embarrasing cuz we pioneered hip-hop in asia now malaysia is on top..

and pinoy rap artist's today eats off american rappers' lyrics..

  3. hey what do u guys fink bout pinoy rap?

who's ur top 5 dead or alive best emcees?

i think pinoy rap still has alot to learn, its ayt when mastaplann and francis m wer on there prime but it chilled since then.. but sum american raised pinoy are creating buzz.. but for me they're biting too much on other american rappers..

we should be embarassed we started hip hop in asian now look at malaysia they're on top of the game..

yeh i must confess that i listen to those guys.

it's quite popular with my nigs at my age..

  12. i come in peace. what the hell am i saying? sorry bout that... haha

about talib bein underrated, i think i agree on that, he and mos has got some real s@%t.. as we all know rza, meth, odb [rip], raek and ghostface released their own albums but it didnt do well compared to when they are together as wu.. so i think it would be better if they stick as one... about bizzy, im still wondrin why he left bone.. the 4 of them really know to flow, well 5 of them actually includin flesh..

no love for pun and L? read my signature man, doesnt it sound familiar? thats from still not a player by pun.. and about L.. im always keepin it flamboyant for life...

aries spears on live 105 was dope. hahaha

and if youre looking for some hiphop gear... try boboli in glorietta. i think they carry wu wear, im not really sure about it though

one last thing. what i dont see love for is for outkast.. i know some of you arent too particular on the south, but man, you gotta have some love for andre and big boi.. dont hate them coz of 'hey ya', thats just andre playin around, you gotta hear their classics... one of the few artists who got 5 mics from the source...

    PEACE!

actually meth did pretty good witch tical..

bizzy said in an interview with wendy williams that he will return with bonethugz in 2008 when flesh is released from prison.

which will be a historical event for hip hop.. haha

boboli got it big up mang.. know any other places?

hey the only good thing besides from geto boys and luda to come out from the south is outkast i actually like that dude.. he got flow and he actually got sumthing to say.. the southernplaya sumthing was tight.

but i see no one hir likes fugees..

    peace

  13. my bad vato.

I like lupe fiasco i suggest you listen to his song kick, push

Is it just me or Lupe Fiasco and Mos Def(the one in 16 Blocks) look alike?

  14. peace! like u i dont even dress like hip hop.hehe. just jeans and shirt and fresh nike shoes. lets share good music!

yeh hip hop clothes is not really "the wear" in phils...

most peepz i see, when im out, wearing hip hop apparel are those squaters gangsta wanna be(no pun intended) and they're really hurting hip hop in the phils.. guys like salbakuta dont even get me started..

im more into wutang songs.. cuz they're just fawkin raw.. i like the rawness..

talib is underated his lyrical game is gone almost unnoticed..

tribe called quest, sugarhill, krs-one, rza, method man, odb, raekwon, ghostface killah, epmd,

bizzy bone's flow is tight.. and also boogie down productions, mos def also i dont see anyone hir giving sum love to big pun and big l...

u guys hERE heard bone thugz new song??

i tried-with akon missing bizzy though

and check this out yall this some hard s@%t..

    funny as hell..

    http://youtube.com/watch?v=rP3qL4UG1TI

hey mga bros pede bang tips nman kng saan kayo bumibili ng damit cuz im goin sa pinas baka bakasyon dont really know any place their yng bargain.. lalo na yng wu wear kng meron.. ayt peace

  15. well for the old ones. try some onyx for some grimeyness, cypress hill for some latin hiphop, well you know wu tang for some street, old dre, snoop and warren g tracks for some gfunk, nwa too for some west coast gangsta s@%t.... biggie if you wanna shake something.. haha, some epmd, atcq and btnh is not bad too.

and for the new ones, have you guys heard of matisyahu? i feel his music, its something like a praise, jewish, reggae-like sound with a hiphop touch, and lupe fiasco if you feel him. some say hes overrated but i think hes just fine.

i listen to the roots, angie stone, erykah badu and sometimes hiphop intrumentals for some relaxation.

some of you doesnt feel the crunk vibe but its whats hot in the clubs right now.

if i hear something real dope, wack and wicked, im sure to put it here...

    later

Bro specific nman jn.. yup heard matisyahu but im not feeling him i guess reggae is bob marley for me, anything that sounds different nah! I like lupe fiasco, represnt the first men.. hhaha.. im more into papoose and saigon though..

i like crunk in the clubs.. but its not hip hop, its club hop.. peace

  16. haha.. let me laugh at you.. there aint no thinking needed.. just what like Bob said - Chase those crazy baldheads out of town.. If youre a real rastafarian, you should know what crazy baldheads mean.. haha.. i bet you dont..

bro i said i used to be a rasta.. im now a christian and yes i effing comb my hair now.. hey man stop acting like your bob marley..

"don't haffi dread to be rasta"... <Morgan Heritage

In fact, most rastas didn't have dreads 'till the '50s/60s

    know your roots...

and yer avoiding the conflict bro we're talkin bout rasta who are not jamaicans..

jamaica is a christian country with more churches per square mile in the world.. if you're a rasta you are only admitted to skul til primary skul.. if u want to have a higher ed you need to be a crazy baldhead a conformist. nuff said. peace bro

  17. Much respect to the south. Lil Jon for example, i dont think i can consider him hipPOP.. if youre talkin about talent, maybe lil jons not really into rapping and writing songs but have you heard his beats? maybe all he does is yell YEAH! OKAY! and WHAT??! but im into shaking my ass to his beats man, get my crunk on if you know what i mean.... and if it pisses you that all niggas do is name dropping designer clothes, fancy cars, bitches, blings and their cash.. i think you need to understand the "depressed and deprived niggas" culture, theyve been through some tough s@%t in their lives that when they make it big time, they show off... thats how they are coz they dont wanna feel like they will be stepped on again.

Im a real hiphop fan, im not much into hating coz brothers are just doing their thing, they just do their thing to express themselves. thats how it goes. Of course i like the old school better than the new ones but i make it a point i still listen to it.

Im into old school for personal satisfaction, but the ladies are shaking their ass to the new ones so i better know some about it too.

    PEACE OUT!

yeh maybe we all can chill sumtym.. im in hong kong for vacation though.. maybe in a month or so.. bring ur ipods or wateva man..

    yah ur ryt bro..

they're more into the beats than the lyrical aspect of rap but that doesn't mean its hip hop.. hip hop is a way of life, its about the struggle and overcoming it.. ITS Not about hoes, bling and bentleys.. its about being RAW..

back when wu tang was in the game u dont see them riding in bentleys, no blings just the rawness of the street, like raping in the broken down city bus.. do u see that now??

hip hop is not about showing off what u got. strutting your stuff..

yes i know they are rich now but they dont need to say YEAH! OKAY! IM RICH SUCK MY DICK BITCH! all the time yahknowhtimsayin?? how bout writing a lil sumthing meaningful? no i dont mean to get low or get crunk i mean keep u head up, respecting the women.. u get my point, i hope..

and no i aint hating on the south i like luda..

hip hop dance genre a.k.a south hip hop is cool for clubs and dancing to the beats no doubt but it will never be hip hop not even close.

hey the mack recommendations naman hip hop old classics and new ones..

  18. this is the shiznit! wicked!

    times have really changed...

This is what hip-hop music is all about. This is what it used to be back in the 80s til the early 90s.

They are doin their thing for the love, not for the money.

cRappers nowadays are a bunch of nonsense bull!#$!,

All they do is name dropping designer clothes; talking about their cash, their cars, their blings, rims, bootie, ladies...

Hip"POP" today needs an overhaul. It needs to go back to its roots.

(Relying on talent, not marketing and promotion.)

Shame on the likes of Nelly, bow wow, Lil Jon, Crunk, Chamillionaire, G-unit and the fakest thug alive...50cent

woah thats a great find dre..

i cant believe i havnt seen or even heard of that..

yeh since hip hop was commercialized it started to deteriorate..

it needs a makeover seriously though where the real hip hop at??

south came in and messed up hip hop big time..

daymn if pac, biggie, pun. big L were hir they'd burn those wack emcees..

wu tang needs a comeback.. meth is hot (i mean that not in a gay way)

papoose has skills.. hey bro check this out... alphabetical a-z to dre..

  22. F.U. drei.. changing religions ka pa dyan.. there is no such thing as a pinoy rastafarian.. damn u...

havnt seen this forum i forgot about this..

first of all very childish cursing out sum1..

second how bout a lil thinking before bushing??

    third. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rastafari_movement)

    Rastafari today

Rastafari is not a highly organized religion. In fact, some Rastas say that it is not a "religion" at all, but a "way of Life". Today, many Rastas are not just Black African, but are as diverse a crowd as White, Māori, Indonesian, etc. Most Rastas do not identify with any sect or denomination, and thus are encouraged by others in the faith to find inspiration by themselves, though there are three prominent mansions of Rastafari: the Nyahbinghi, the Bobo Ashanti and the Twelve Tribes of Israel. By claiming Jah as the returned Jesus, Rastafari is a new religious movement that has arisen from Christianity, much as Christianity arose from Judaism.

In 1996, the Rastafari movement worldwide was given consultative status by the United Nations.

Also, the word "Rastaman" in 1990s obtained a special meaning in Post-Soviet states. After the fall of the USSR, a youth subculture of marijuana users formed, primarily in Russia and Ukraine, many of whom began to call themselves "Rastamany" ("растаманы", in plural). They borrowed a number of symbols from Rastafari culture including Reggae music (especially honoring Bob Marley), green-yellow-red colors, sometimes dreadlocks and other appearance, but not Afrocentrism (most are ethnically Slavic). Many of them protest against something they call "Babylon". A special Russian Reggae scene developed which is only partly similar to common reggae. Rastamany have their own folklore, publish literature and records, as well as create websites and form online communities.

so next time u try to mouth of to people who know their stuff maybe u should do a lil thinking first.. just a lil. dont make ur brain explode...

  23. Who likes hip-hop music here?

    Throw your hands up yall.

    Peace!!!
