  1. if you're the only pinoy in the whole resto = authentic, if the menu is in japanese = authentic or rather, authentic enough

     

    IMO i consider sugi mid-range, i've been eating there since 19xx and over the years it has developed into a bastardized japanese cuisine for the filipino palette. if i was a snob japanese executive i wouldn't call this authentic or high-end

     

    if you want EXTREMELY DELICIOUS jap food, YOU MUST PAY

     

    start with nanohana, tsukiji, the jap resto in lucio tans hotel in manila(i forgot the name, but it is the former head chef of tsukiji cooking there now), and obviously the hotels

     

    authentic value-for-money jap food would have to be tittle tokyo

     

    ***what would you recommend in suzukin? i haven't eaten there in ages!!!
