  1. I was currently offered a job offer from a telco company here in the philippines through an agency. Given that I my gross salary is above 720k per year, I was told that I had to pay 15% witholding tax. There were no benefits included i.e. SSS, Pagibig, Philhealth

I would like to know if there other taxes I have to pay other than the witholding tax of 15% tax and how do I compute it? I'm single and no children. Is it possible for me to have my sister who is still studying qualify as a dependent? If so, how do I add this to the formula?

    Thanks in advance

  2. @omegared When you say varicose veins are you pertaining to varicocele? If you were pertaining to varicocele then by all means head to a doctor immediately because prolonging the presence of the disease would lead to infertility

  3. mga doc's... hope you guys can help...

i have not been going to massage parlours nor having affairs, just spakols for the past year and a half. last week, i noticed when i was climaxing during a spakol session medyo mahapdi when i was climaxing. Weird i thought but when i got home i notice nothing naman... so 2 days after since i was bothered, nag self service ako and the exact same thing happened. mahapdi only when the spermis coming out. so i thought maybe na-strain lang si manoy... anyway, last night after giving manoy a rest for a couple of days.. ganun pa rin... hanggang hj lang talaga me sa spakol so i was wondering what caused this? UTI lang ba ito? hope someone can help... thanks

If there is pain and blood while urinating it can be UTI. Rest assured, this is not a characteristic symptom of STD/AIDS. This is a very uncommon case. I would highly suggest that you go to a urologist to have you worked up because I cant seem to think of any other differential diagnosis of your case sorry.

  4. You can be considered disease free if you don't have any more urinary symptoms such as discharge or pain on urination, a clean urinalysis, and a clean urine gram stain or urine culture and sensitivity. You should, however, have a HIV test done if you had a prior sexual encounter before you had the discharge to rule out if you have a HIV infection.

Dont worry about the resistant strains if your diagnostics test and clinical picture shows your fine.

  5. Yup. Sa penis and vagina lang makukuha yan. Oral sex wont get you infected with gonnorrhea. It will just gross you out.

    @patotoy_21

We can't advice you on what medicine/ointment/wash to use. You better have yourself checked by a infectious medicine specialist because that can be more than just a rash. It can be a STD and has to be treated specifically depending on the organism. Always bear in mind that it doesn't matter if the penis lesion is itchy or not. STDs have different ways of manifesting itself.

its ok to have sex even if the girl has her period. You can use the calendar method to determine during what days the girl is fertile. These are the days you avoid having sex so that the girl doesnt get pregnant

Basically you find out how long are her longest and shortest cycle. Deduct 19 from the shortest cycle and 10 from the longest cycle. The range that you get are the fertile days. For example, a girl has her longest cycle which is 30 days and shortest cycle of 28 days. So 28 - 19 = 9 and 30 - 10 = 20. You count from day 1 which is the start of her period then you avoid having sex on days 9 - 20 if you dont want to get her pregnant. You can have unprotected sex from day 1- 8 and day 21 onwards. Restart the count when she has her period again.

It sounds a bit confusing at first so search calendar method on google so that you'd understand better

All birth control pills are fine as long as she's a healthy 21 y/o girl without any allergies to these drugs or any illnesses that could contraindicate her from taking this pills. Most pills can be bought over the counter without a prescription. I, however, do not encourage her to take this birth control pills without proper advise and instructions from an obstetrician. Missing a dose will remove the effectiveness and overdosing can be harmful as well.

How I wish this information is readily available to everyone so that we can avoid accident pregnancies.

  7. @juniperxxx

Yes it can be treated. Unfortunately, I don't know much about psychiatric management.

    @spikelao

First thing that came to my mind was sciatica. These is usually caused by "naipit" na nerve sa lower spine mo causing the lower back pain that goes to your thigh and leg. This can be caused by poor posture, weight problems, aging, and trauma. This is just an educated guess. Go see a orthopedic speciallist to have yourself examined to rule out other possible causes of your back pain. Take a pain reliever today and go see a doctor tom.

  8. HIV symptoms are very nonspecific. They range from fever, mouth ulcers, generalized skin rashes, soar throat, headahce, diarrhea, etc. It is recommended that you undergo HIV testing. Count at least three months from the time you had sex with the person you think has HIV before you undergo the test.

  9. @BigJ

Ok lang yun basta hindi ka inaantok habang umaga at hapon. Our body normally needs 6 - 8 hours of rest. As long as you feel rejuvenated when you wake up then its fine.

There are actually sleep specialists, a sub specialization of pulmonary medicine, that you can approach if you feel like you have trouble with your sleep. You can find one at UST hospital.

  10. ask ko lang kapag gumaling na ba sa tulo meron bang chance na maging carrier at mahawaan niya ako? how about aids should't i ask her to get tested before we do the deed?! praning lang ba ako?

You won't be considered a carrier for STD as long as you took the medications religiously, had a follow up urinary gram stain culture and urinalysis which showed you negative for any infection, and a negative test for HIV.

  11. ask ko lang saan ba maganda or ok mag pa executive/general check up yung hindi executive ang price? kindly post sna pati mga price thxs po.

Try looking for a family medicine doctor. This guys go for holistic approach in patient care focusing on primary prevention of illneses. Check out the private clinics of any reputable hospital. Ang nagpapamahal ng executive check up are the laboratory work ups. So as long as the doctor doesn't tell you that you need expensive workups such as CT Scan/MRI/PET you wont be charged an executive price.

need your recommendations niyo po and san sila makokontak...tnx!!!!

There are OB-Gyne doctors specializing in fertility. These doctors also have knowledge regarding male fertility since its a couple thing. Same as with my post above, you can find them at private clinics at reputable hospitals. I can refer you to one if you like.

  12. I'd go for infectious disease specialist, a subspecialty of internal medicine rather than a urologist.

A urologist is a surgeon therefore specializes more on surgical cases of the genito urinary tract but they do have knowledge about the medical side such as STD.

You're problem is medical in nature not surgical. That's why I choose the infectious disease specialist. It's really up to you since I know both can help you with your problem. There is no such thing as a 'mild' tulo by the way.

  13. that means you're taking a s@%t.

you're fissures might have recurred. visit a gastroenterologist to have yourself check. Eat lots of fiber to make your stool soft. A hot sitz bath will help if it is anal fissure or hemmorhoids.

  14. i do have a friend awhile ago i visited her she's 7 months pregnant, she asked me if bwal b mag do pag preggy i said no (yun ang alm ko e)then she told me nung 3 months ago nung nag do sila ng bf nya (who left her) after the deed parang yung water-bag nya nbutas? kc mdmi water lumabas?masama daw b yun?nde ko msagot kc di ko alm after all im just an rt....then she also noticed n maliit yung tyan nya compared nung una sya mag buntis???

Sex during pregnancy is alright as long as the patient does not have any risk factors for premature labor or placenta previa to name a few. If she felt something wrong 3 months ago then she should've immediately visited an obstetrician. She should have experienced fever and pelvic pain if that were premature rupture of membranes. Obstetricians have a way of determining if the fetus is small for gestational age that means a small tiyan based on perception doesn't necessarily mean immediately growth retardation.

I'm quite sure all your questions can be answered by a routine prenatal check up by an obstetrician. Urge your friend to visit one soon.

TIA

Hemmorhoids, anal fissures, rectal polyps, or cancer are the usual culprits of rectal bleeding.

Besides during sex, does it bleed pag nag nunumber 2 ka sa banyo? Is it painful? Visit a gastroenterologist. If there would be any indication he might likely do a rectal exam and if needed do a proctosigmoidoscopy if he cant find any problem from the outside.

Hemmorhoids can present with painful or painless bleeding. Anal fissures can present with tearing pain with passage of bowel movements. Polyps can be assymptomatic to intermittent bleeding. Rectal cancer will also present with bleeding but usually have other symptoms such weight loss, anemia, weakness, and abdominal pain.
