  1. Thanks too for the sage advice. This is absolutely useful for me.

Thanks, that's my one-and-done KiSA career.

She left the industry a week after we became "us" and never went back though during turbulent times she would think/say that she'll just revert. I made sure she never diid, never had to. It took a lot to make sure she finished her schooling. To her credit she did her part and graduated with honors.

Word of caution, gents. You'll have to replace everything from you thera-love's career:

    - regular earnings not just for herslef but also for her part in her family's upkeep, not mention frequent financial emergencies of her loved ones

    - bad habits, manner of dress, speech, social behavior so she can feel part of society again and out of the underground -- educate her, in and oiut of school

    - give her proper ambition, the one that goes hand in hand with discipline and patience - you'll have to understand they're used to duty money, easy to earn and much easier to spend

    - give her back her soul by being her soulmate; do not give up on her until she's able to stand on her own again, not just financially, but also emotionally and psychologically

    - be ready for YOUR heart breaking in the end. Why? Because you'll always be part of her spa life (that's where you met her, remember?), and staying on means not giving her a real fresh start.

There's no forever here, whatever the circumstances. But yes, you can save a life, a soul. It will just take a whole lot of money, and all of your heart and soul.

  2. The best part of what you did is you saved your thera from her "work" in the spa industry. In other words, you saved a soul. Bravo for that! Takes a lot of courage (not to mention resources) to do what you did

    Been there, done that.

5m, two trips abroad, a car, 2 culinary degrees and 1.5 years later, iniwan din ako. Tho minahal naman (daw) nya ko during our time together. Well, at least yun ang sabi nya. Hahahaha.

Anyway, no regrets. Di naman sya na bumalik sa spa ever after she left (tho madaming times nagsabi na babalik na lang sya tinakot ko lang para di na bumalik), maayos na sya now, and happy. All's well that ends well.

  3. to abiakak, my advice to you is more practical than legal. Malamang, it is your bad credit with PNB which caused your denial sa Citibank. Credit card companies share information on people with bad credit. So it is NOT your late faxing of docs or whatever else reason, but is your bad credit with PNB. You say until now that ou have not paid your debt with PNB Visa. Then simply paying it, together with possible interests and penalties should ANSWER your query on how to fix your credit status and thus should be the first step to getting back good credit right? Assuming your income is what you say it is, at P840th/annum, i dont see why you cant pay it even in installments. Now, if your debt in PNB has been sold to a collecting agent then you have to deal with the collecting agent, which means they might settle for a little less than what you owe PNB. But first things first, since you say your finances are back in order and you seem to earn well then PAY the debt.

  4. i have to agree with most of what has been written here:

    MJs flu game, 1997 finals

Magic's game 6, 1980 finals, where he started at center against Darryl dawkins (Moses Malone came to the 76ers in 1982-83 seasn) i am sure it was just an oversight on your part, Larry

Joe Montana and his superbowl winning pass to Dwight Clark in the late 80's (i-forget-what-year)

  5. i was an insider during the 1999 bar scandal and the following bar scandal that followed, the 2003 bar scandal which involved the leaked mercantile law questions.

J purisima was given a private retirement ceremony with incumbents attending, in the en banc meeting room only (not the session hall where ceremonies are held). He was still given the traditional court souvenirs like the gavel, robe, book, pen, book of decisons, SC seal, nameplate, etc. However, no traditional dinner party where the retiring justice invites his family and friends was held.

His nephew is the son of his brother, retired Judge Amante Purisima. J Purisima denied knowledge that his nephew was taking the bar. The thing is, he should have known that his nephew was taking the bar, and his nephew should have told him, so as not to put his uncle in the dilemma which ultimately compromised him. No one believed his denial.

  6. to dr. pepper, nice comment on baviera and ambion, and good recollection of the 1982 ericta bar scandal.

    to rocco69, excellent research.

yes the 1982 ericta bar scandal was a blackeye to the SC and the legal profession. Based on the quoted news article, CJ Fernando should not have been reappointed by Marcos for admitting he helped A colleague's son pass the bar by lowering or adjusting the passing grade. Yes, J. Ericta and J Fernandez, the chair of the bar exms, were not re--appointed. J. Fernandez also managed to help the son of Ericta somehow. And yes , the SC allowed the son of j ericta to pass and take his oath.

The more recent scandal involving J Purisima and his nephew saw a different result. J Purisima's nephew actaully passed the 1999 bar but was not allowed to take his oath. The son of J. Ericta should not have passed but passed bec of the lowering of the passing grade in one subject which i forget. J Purisima was reprimanded by the SC (he didnt resign nor was he removed) and half his bar fee was forfeited (about P500th)

  7. amici de don bosco is one of the best and cheapest places for italian food.

Pizza for P240, pasta i dont remember pero very reasonable, gelato for P35 per scoop,

P30 for italian coffee, espresso, cappucino.

gelato is the best and cheapest in town, even cheaper than in italy

where it costs at least 1.25Euros, coffee is great, and pizza is authentic italian.

Be early parking is limited at the back but the church has more.

Self setrvice style reduces overhead and makes its food cheap

  8. have tried Silk, Mezzaluna, and sonja's cupcakes.

Silk is an upscale thai resto owned by Louie Y. Social lahat ng kumakain.

Prices are on the high side for thai food but the food is good. Good date resto.

Mezzaluna has very high, hotel-like prices for regular food. Not a very large selection

but the food itself is very good.

Pizza is reasonably priced, if on a budget, stick to that

sonja's cupcakes are good but would you pay P50 to P100 for a cupcake?
