This CHICBOY thread started in May 2010 with rave reviews. Good Food, Big Portions and Cheap Price. Mostly were positive feedbacks, Of course there were also some NAYSAYERS. But by and large, the feedback and comments were more POSITIVE. But, by 2013, they were already closing newly opened outlets. Some say that they are losing money and started scrimping on the Quality and Quality of their food. Some one said that when the price of his favorite item went up from P99 to P115, he stopped going. Is that how sensitive this business in terms of pricing? But, even at this time people were still raving about the restaurant. To take the words of Hillary, "Whoa happened"?

I agree that this is worth discussing and learning from. I tried googling on what happened to Chic Boy but could not find any useful info. Hope some industry insiders can help share what happened here.

they have Rai Rai Ken in Ali Mall. It's not the best ramen in the market but it's satisfactory

I think it's a matter of preference. Personally I prefer fewer ingredients so the flavor won't be overwhelming. I do agree with you that it is priced on the high side

My only beef (pardon the pun) with Japanese Ramen is that the portion size and serving for a person like me with big appetites is always just not enough although one must concede they truly are delectable. Sana damihan naman nila. Sa totoo lang parang di pa yata nakaabot sa sikmura ko yun kinain ko.

Unfortunately ramen is priced quite high in the Philippines, almost like a luxury meal.
