If we use your argument that Morales's extreme drop in weight was the culprit in the early knockout, it wouldn't make sense to conclude that Pacquiao would lose in the later rounds. Morales will only get weaker as the fight progresses precisely because of the loss of power for losing too much weight to the lead up. While Pacquiao, judging from his previous fights, gets stronger or at elast remains consistently strong over the duration of a long fight. Judging from the historicals, if Morales escaped Pacquiao in the early rounds, he will be out of strength, power and resiliency to avoid the Pacman in the later rounds.

On the next argument that Pacquiao is lucky that he met only a shadow of the Morales, that could be partly true but with the disparity in age and experience, Morales at his best (probably during the height of the Barrera figths up until the first bout with Manny) will never get the chance to meet Pacquiao at his best (which we will probably see in the next 2-3 fights). To counter your view further that the best of Morales could have easily defeated Manny, well the facts don't lie, the best of Morales versus a distracted Pacquiao on the rise could only net a slim unanimous decision for El Terrible that could have won either way.

Regardless, everything is water under the bridge. Pacquiao won two bouts, by career ending knockouts and Morales will never have the chance to get payback. Pacquiao is the best pound per pound now (with apologies to Floyd Mayweather) as he has fought the better opponents this year. Morales shelf life has expired and as much as some would want to dwell on his past glory just to diss Pacquiao, it will be futile. Manny as a boxer is still on the way up as he is still learning. God save this division once Manny masters the sweet science. He's already way above anybody else now. The best chance for the best featerweights/jr. lightweights had to beat him was probably three fights ago. Now its just a rout. Manny will be battling himself more than he will battle other great boxers. Not even the great Marco Barrera comes close. In the end what will beat Manny is father time and desire when he has ran out of challenges. And in the end, when all three of them make it to the Boxing Hall of Fame, Pacquaio's name will always be mentioned in higher stead and history will rank him as one of the best ever featherweights of all time.

  2. ala daw dito nyan, digs. i just happen to know someone who got a size 10 from LA. 4K bigay nya eh. what ya think?

Ok na yan. On-line, $ 90 yan, pre-tax and pre-shipping. Ipapauwi mo pa sa Pinas.

Pang big man ba yung enforcer? Mukha naman from the pictures. Nakak tempt na bilhin.

Sa SM Manila ano yung boutique dun, Nike Park or Nike Stadium?

White-Black Colorway db.

World wide launch ba yan?

  4. Joe Smith might be an average player for SI.. but for me, Joe Smith's game has continuously dropped year after year.. I may not know his statistics but after his first (and maybe his second) year with Golden State.. He just became a so-so player.. Joe Smith was expected to light up the L.. He did just that during his rookie year but after that it seems he just got tired and just became a role player on teams where he got traded..

I liked Joe Smith before and believed in his hype (have seen highlights of his plays).. And due to this I had high expectations for his game.. but in my book, he was a disappointment.. not in the mold of an Olowakandi, or a Pervis Ellison.. Not even a Kwame Brown.. But Joe Smith just like the three I mentioned are disappointments in my book.. Being a #1 pick and not playing up to par just makes me hate them.. :P

On Pervis Ellison and the 1989 lottery picks, Ellison was set up to fail as there was no consensus No. 1 pick from the top six picks. Anyone drafted as No. 1 would have come up short of expectation for someone draftedfirst. From the entire first round picks the most notable names to have noteable careers were probably Tim Hardaway, Shawn Kemp, Sean Elliott, Glenn Rice and BJ Armstrong.

Never Nervous Pervis could have probably saved himself all the grief and unecessary pressure of being the top pick if he declared for the draft after his phenomenal freshman year where he led Louisville to the 1986 NCAAA title while crowning himself as the NCAA MOP.

  5. Yeah that's why that article was part of their NBA Busts special back then...

He is average, way too average for a No. 1 pick!

Joe Smith had the red flags that he could be a bust when he was drafted. Remember that most of his upside was based on an outstanding performance during the NCAA tournament. Same thing for the number 2 pick, Antonio Mcdyess who catapulted himself with a great show during 'Bama's run.

  6. not really a silly trade dude... sometime u gotta do what you gotta do...

kinda like what they did with willie miller back then when he was shipped out to TnT

albeit different reasons... it all boiled down to winning!

as for who will replace him... basketball is a team game and so long as you have 5 players kaya naman!

I'm hoping leo najorda will blossom... ganda ng ginawa nya sa last game nila versus ginebra!

bt as to why redbull didn't ask for chris or wesley... I really have no idea!

As for parting at the right time, the trade made sense. You're right, if he has to go, he has to go. What I found silly and perplexing was leaving that 2 position in a vaccum when they could have asked for any of the excess guards that San Miguel had to at least alleviate Tugade's absence. At least in the short term. I agree that basketball is a five man game and teams will have to find ways of winning, but until Red Bull finds it, they shgould stick to what they have which has been successful. Unfortunately that system needs at least a decent 2 to run properly. Now they have to work double time to overhaul what they have to fit in the people that they have left.

  8. Silly trade by Red Bull. Practically Lordy Tugade for nothing. They gave up one space eater in the reserve list to get two more bigger bodies that they will never use. Just to make things more sour than they already are, gave up their first round pick in the 2007 draft which already looks to be very deep. If this trade proves disastrous and Red Bull finishes in the bottom pack this year, that pick will haunt them.

He's the cornerstone of their offense. I don't know what they're smoking, but they are kidding themselves if they believe they can be as successful without Tugade in the rotation. They don't have anyone who can fill in his shoes. Not Larry Fonacier (who is better playing the Point Forward position and feeding off to Tugade), not Rich Alvarez (who cannot be a consistent shooter in the PBA now to save his life. He is more of a taller poor man's version of Rudy Hatfield), not Junthy Valenzuela. Even the big numbers of their big men will suffer once the complimentary outside threat is not there.

Tugade is worth at least a decent first round pick. Red Bull should have gotten one of the excess 2 guards in the San Miguel line-up (Calaguio or Gonzales or both) plus a first round draft pick to make this sense at least palatable.

Pacman only trains hard between 12-14 weeks tops.

Si Morales ang baka ma overtrain, remember that he already went into that weight reduction program before he started his high altitude boxing training. And he's mouthing off this early, not a very good sign of a fighter who is confident of his skills and strengths. He's trying to get into Manny's mind now. Pacman's doing the right thing by keeping generally quiet and just saying enough to keep everybody interested. Regardless of the results, Manny will come out looking good and Morales will come out looking bad. Manny will be exciting and fun to watch and will knock out Morales if he decides to slug it out. Erik will have a chance if he runs around and boxes Manny from a distance. But if Manny comes in prepared, he will eventually catch El Terrible and a short ending is always possible. The Pacman, win or lose, will walk away to bigger money fights as he will prove that he is the bigger draw, the boxer that people pay to watch. Morales even if he wins will be one step closer to retirement.

Sa us lang ata ito nabibili. this was worn by charles barkley during their playoff run in the 1993-94 season kaso high cut ata ung gamit nya noon.

    http://www.finishline.com/store/images/products/lg313659051.jpg

CB 1's and CB 2's. Got the original Air Force (yung nasa commercial niya na "I can go around you.."), the Airforce 2 and CB 34's. Saw a CB 2 in Glorietta 4 a couple of years back, dapat kinuha ko na (mga Php 3,500 ang benta).

BILL NAMIN!!

  14. Together with Nino Mulach in his noontime show, Ariel was hilarious.

I remember watching his ala key-stone cop movie (Si Lone Ranger, Pop-eye, atb...not so sure about the exact

    title).

Yung trilogy. Yung isa parang horror. I remember Aurora Pijuan playing Olive Oyle and Peewee gulping down burgers at Tropical Hut. Years later, found out that the baby in the Popeye movie was a HS classmate. Saw still shots of the movie in his house. Didn't Johnny Montero play the bad guy in the Lone Ranger segment.
