Downside lang with Samsung is software upgrades; Samsung has a penchant of not supporting their old models with current software updates as soon as a new model is released to replace it.

Google Nexus 7 is a good buy except you don't have an expansion slot for a memory card so your stuck with the internal memory or have your files via cloud.

If you have the budget, then go for the Jazz.

Frankly if you look at the price the comparison should be between Jazz or Civic.
