I like that the new airport is just a few mins away from the resorts. And lots of things to do and places to visit other than just the beach. I love this place, and the friendly locals

Gravel biker but lately rides have mostly been on roads, missing going on long rides and exploring new routes

Zambales or Bataan to the North, Nasugbu or Calatagan to the south

Aureo in San Juan, or Thunderbird in Poro Point. A bit away from the crowds, but just a short drive to the busy touristy spots

Heavy traffic already a given during weekends, more so when there are special occasions (like this Father’s Day Sunday).

If one really needs to go on a weekend, try alternate routes like Casile or Amadeo. Still, be ready to wait for a table in the popular restos unless you have a reservation (as long as you make it to your reservation on time).
