Striking, I can easily learn from other gyms kasi madami namang nag-ooffer ng kickboxing, muay thai, etc. pero wrestling not so much. Quote Link to comment

rontan2014
What's the mentality for studying the combative arts: street survival or exercise regimen? If street survival: Krav Maga or Filipino Martial Arts (Escrima, Balintawak, Pekiti Terisa, etc...). Knife attacks are very dangerous. If exercise regimen: Elorde has boxing, muay thai, and MMA programs. Quote Link to comment

If exercise regimen: Elorde has boxing, muay thai, and MMA programs. Krav Maga is both physically and mentally demanding. If you studied other forms of combat arts, be ready to put the things you learned in the back of your mind and open it to the techniques that would be taught. Krav Maga is different, it's brutal, it's unforgiving. Be ready to take the pain physically and mentally. Saan may best krav maga gym? Krav Maga: Please look for them here: IKMF Philippines or IKMF Philippines on FB Quote Link to comment

Queen Darkeinjel
salamat nang marami kaibigan. will look them up.You're welcome po. The Chief instructor of IKMF Philippines is the highest ranking in the region. He is also the Regional Director (SE Asia). He trains in Israel every now and then under the current director of IKMF globally (who was part of the core of students taught by the developer of the system himself.) In short, legit po yung IKMF and legit din po yung Chief Instructor who also holds classes in the gyms in the metro. Try to sched a free trial class and see if you will like it. Quote Link to comment

Krav Maga is different, it's brutal, it's unforgiving. Be ready to take the pain physically and mentally. Some Israeli Defense Forces and US Army Special Forces (Green Beret) trained with us. I'm sure they're exposed to Krav Maga. But after their initiation with a escrimador's knifing mentality, they said they'll probably get killed when confronted with a skilled knife fighter. And so they trained in Balintawak Escrima - Tabimina System. I'm sure some instructors in your gym know us. (Even some IDF guys told us that they suspect one of them is a Mossad operative, but it's impossible to verify.) Edited August 29, 2017 by rontan2014 Quote Link to comment
