harveyspecter
Hi Everyone, Decided to create this room to share my skills and expertise (free/pro-bono) in statistics/data analytics and business process improvement (i.e. Lean Six Sigma). A brief background on my self, I'm a Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and Statistician and also, seasoned in business consultation. To the ladies/gents in the business/corporate world who would want to me to analyze data and provide insights, please send me a PM and an excel file of the data. harveyspecter
Hi Harvey, Interesting thread. Quick q: How does one become certified in Six Sigma? I don't have a management background btw. Hi Macdknife, Certification varies among belts. for Yellow Belt, you just need to attend a classroom training ( 1 day) then pass a exam then you get certified. For Green belt training is around 7 days and you need to pass an exam again plus you need to finish an actual Lean Six Sigma project using the DMAIC methodology then you get certified For Black Belt training is 15-20 days and you need to pass an exam again, plus finish another actual Lean Six Sigma project with the use of DMAIC methodology plus the use of Advance Statistical tools (Hypothesis testing, Regression and etc.) then you get certified. Please let me know if you have more questions. 1 Quote Link to comment

The trouble I have right now is how to deploy it online. any recommendation is appreciated, thanks 1.) Put it on the web on your own expense or get an investor to finance it for you(Of course you will make him/her partner).2.) Allow FREE First Time User Registration (Place 3 User Categories a.Buyer ,b.Seller, c.Seller&Buyer)Note:*You must place a Percentage Indicator on each user whether he/she is a TRUSTWORTHY BUYER/SELLER(Of course the percentage indicator will be determined by VOTES made by theirclients/supplier on your app)(Buyer gets to say something about a Seller and vice-versa)*Membership expires ONE (1) Year after first registration. But renewable only atthe user's option.*Upon renewal you can charge a very minimal fee dependent on USER Category. On the ANNIVERSARY DATE of the APPLICATION being deployed online;1.) Start charging a very small and reasonable commission for yourself on every salemade via your app.Additional source of income:* Get ADS for your app and of course charge them for it (This you can start immediately) Edited September 16, 2017 by peacemaker8 Quote Link to comment

That would be definitely be the most effective. You would essentially just need someone to administer and manage the inventory as well as the messages and related posted content for it. Let me know if i may help. Thanks ! Quote Link to comment

harveyspecter
Tableau ftw!Btw, conceptual ba ang lean six sigma courses or may halo ring technical like programming, stat etc? Apologies for the late response. Lean Six Sigma (LSS) is both conceptual (DMAIC framework) and technical since it borrows some tools and techniques from statistics and project management. Hope this answers your question. Which is easier to use when starting out? Tableau Public or Power BI Desktop? Ive tried Qlik but I find it cumbersome. In my honest opinion. Tableau is the most user friendly BI tool. I agree with you on Qlik though. Quote Link to comment
harveyspecter
hi how do you become a data analyst? Hi Kerbyzt, as of now, there is no certification yet (as far as I know of) for data analyst here in the Philippines. There are some lessons and seminars on data analytics. Currently, the only profession recognized as a data analyst are statisticians. I hope in the future, we'll have a data analyst degree here in the Philippines. Quote Link to comment

harveyspecter
Any reqts para makatake ng courses? How much nagrarange? No pre-requisites to take LSS. and for yellow belt, it ranges from 8-10k, green belt is around 35-50k, black belt is 100-120k. Note: For green and black belt, along with a exam that you need to pass, you need to finish a project using the DMAIC and LSS tools and techniques for you to be certified. Quote Link to comment

If you do, please send it to harvey.specter0713@gmail.com I will review your project and provide feedback. Thanks! Thanks. My current project is a centralization project. I'll send you the project charter. Estimated savings is 1.5 FTE, roughly $50K, not enough for a BB no? Quote Link to comment

Estimated savings is 1.5 FTE, roughly $50K, not enough for a BB no? Hmm. It depends on where you are getting your certification from. Does the certifying body need a certain $ savings for you to be certified? For some, they also require you to use advanced statistical tools (i.e. hypothesis testing, regression, DOE, control charts and etc) on your project. Quote Link to comment
