guys question uli tungkol sa visual studio 2008....... nangangapa kasi ako e.... di naman ako marunong talaga nito

gumagawa ako ng simple program na parang ABC teacher for kids (school project).

part of code:

Private Sub Button3_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button3.Click

PictureBox1.Image = Image.FromFile("F:\school-ACU\info305\Project\ABC program\ABC program\Bb.jpg")

End Sub

question: paano ko babaguhin ung highlighted part para pwede ko syang i-run sa ibang computer?

do you plan to run the program in PC2 but the source for the picture files are in PC1? (both in the same network) ? Mapping your PC2 to have a directory that is in PC1 should solve it. not really a programming issue.

why not just save all your pictures INTO YOUR PROGRAM and make it a resource? so that anywhere you install your program , the picture files are included in installation.

Magtatanong lang mga sir, I need an opinion on the the business application software. maybe a question to all software developer/engineer. I am contemplating business solution(EPR) for my company and somebody mention to me that there are 3 companies that offer this kind of software. So far, I manage to get some info from SAP , Oracle and People soft. I wonder if someone can tell the pro's and con's of this softwares. Any information will be much appreciated.

Thanks for this thread!

I plan to learn programming. It's a nice hobby. Self-study lang. I was able to do things that otherwise Excel and Access are limited to by creating my Visual Basic and SQL scripts.

C++ naman ako ngayon. I just started and created my first "Hello World!" program haha!

Sa system32 pala output nun.

Please share some basic to intermediate level C++ codes naman. If possible paki attach screenshot nung output. Thanks.

Hi sir tigerbutch, i don't know much about SAP but i think it relies on other database like DB2, Microsoft and even Oracle. You can post your inquiries for SAP on this thread: http://manilatonight.com/index.php?showtop...p;#entry6148796. There are lots of SAP specialists on the said thread.

For Peoplesoft, i thinks it is already part of Oracle. There are numerous oracle apps or oracle-in-a-box (OIB) out there for your business needs. This is best for data warehousing since it's architecture is far more robust compared to other database products.

I have completed perusing through the tutorials and has successfully created my own basic codes. Sarap ng feeling nung gumana haha.

I just bought a book on VB.NET and ASP.NET. Yan naman assignment ko for myself this December.

By the way, baka naman meron gusto magshare ng intermediate level VBA codes. Thanks.

This is kind of late. But for the others who may need the info.

ERPs are very expensive to start with. SAP and Microsoft Dynamics, the two leaders in the industry, will cost you 400K USD on the license alone. Installation is different. Training is different.

Coke and San Miguel uses SAP R3. The cheaper version which is SAP B1 has limitations.

What I suggest for businessmen like you is to get a consultant first ( for a fee of 20k or more a month ) and tell him/her your requirements then let him help you with your decision on what software to get. You may be buying a very expensive software yet in the end you only get to use 20% of the capabilities of the application.

I'm a software developer myself and I work for a company that sells a mini-ERP . It all depends on what you need as a business. The ERPs in the market are very generic applications and your business may have peculiar needs, so you are better off with a local company to meet your needs.
