known metro retailers in the 70s that have closed shop:

- Queen's Supermarket

- Alemars Bookstore

- Tropical Hut

- Arcega's

please add . . .

Alemar's was one of the premiere bookstores in the 70s up to mid 80s. Too bad they closed shop. Queen's Supermarket? Where was that?

There was one Queens Supermarket in Harrison Plaza near Rizal Memorial Sports Coliseum and DLSU taft. It was opposite Bangko Sentral Mabini side.

I didnt know it was on the Mabini side of HP. It must have been defunct in the late 80s because I cant remember a Queens supermart in the 90s. Edited by will robie
