I am hearing cries of despair, regret and  frustrations from the outcome of this elections.  However, just over 2 weeks ago, the lead was extraordinary, more than half favored BBM.  Leni could not even get past 30%.  The opposition was disorganized and candidates were being forced to abandon the race publicly. This created a backlash. Non BBM candidates turned against Leni because they were punlicly insulted to give up. Instead of uniting the opposition, the opposition turned against the pink party.

To help maintain support, the Pink party used a parallel poll. This poll showed they lead, Of course during her birthday bash, the 10 million shortfall was a problem for Leni supporters and the pressure was on pinkies to force people to vote their choice rather than exercise some kind of propriety by understanding that individuals got the right to exercise free choice. The instruction to influence people by forcing one's choice upon another was terribly wrong and inconsistent with freedom.

Considering the evidence that the pinkies have made poor decisions for this election, today there is effort to force an audit as if they got a lead ever since, which is quite far from the Truth. Do they understand that the evidence is strong they had made too many mistakes?

Not a fan of a BBM presidency but I acknowledge his experience as being a former Cong/Governor at the very least.

Unlike this ulupong- Robin Padilla, na former actor and former X-Convict, with 0 experience in governance, didn't even run as a councilor- now turned #1 Senator in this election garnering 26 Million fcking votes as of this moment!

Imagine 26 Million Filipinos! 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️
Proud to say I'm not one of those 26M :D

I voted for Robin Padilla, I am proud of it.

Yes, he is an x-con because of our gun ban rules, I hope he does something to change it.

I'm guessing:

Imee will be senate pres

Romualdez will be speaker of the house

Sounds familiar ?

A few other chilling probabilities . Imelda will be pardoned. The estate tax claim against the Marcoses will be allowed to expire. PCGG will be disbanded. There will be blatant attempts to revise history. State control of media will be put in place. Opposition will be harassed and jailed. The Supreme Court , Congress and the Senate will be rubber stamps to whatever Marcos Jr. wants. Cronyism will be back. Kleptocracy will again rule the day. The economy starts sinking. Foreign debt will rise to even higher levels. Investors pull out.

The country and its citizens suffer.

First hour of stock trading May 10, 2022: All shares quickly went into the red. That afternoon, news that Lehman put the Philippines at the bottom of SEA investment prospects.

I wonder why.

Trouble is lurking before BBM is inaugurated, I suppose. Yet the market is often fickle and will look for the slightest of reason for volatility.

Hehehe. Para tuloy ang LIGAYA natin

Investors would ALWAYS prefer Vietnam over the Philippines. The exudos of Factories and other industries from our country has started way before. Most of the companies that transferred its operation to other countries cited LABOR (manpower) as one of the reason. Labor is now too politicized and Labor Union, especially KMU, no longer listen to REASON. I believe KMU's agenda is not to negotiate but to "CLOSE" the company to gain ground and put most of the blame in our Government. I would be much easier for the REDs to convince people to raise arms against a democratic government with an impoverished population.

Sorry bro pero kulang info mo, if Tama pagkakatanda ko, he was involved in a hit and run case with a balut vendor and when he was flagged down dun sya nakitaan ng high-powered firearms. Robin even claimed na napagbayaran na nya yung kasalanan nya but then again he wasn't able to fully satisfy his sentence. He was a beneficiary of a revision ng batas regarding shortening ng imprisonment for possession of illegal firearms. Combined with a pardon from FVR kaya sya nakalaya. Now kung Anong gagawin nyang batas regarding possession of illegal firearms, di ko maisip ano gagawin nya about dun.

Let the elected President try first. No one is.

What we can all do right now, is to trust, na sana tama ang nakararami sa naging desisyon natin.

And hopefully, may mangyaring maganda for the sake of Philippines.

Agree with this.

you can't judge a looming presidency simply due to a day of market downturn.

I take it as an alarming development.

It  simply says that financial experts maybe  are not confident about the integrity of Marcos Junior because of his family's long history of corruption .

When you apply for a loan with any bank they always look at your credit history before approving the loan and lending you the money .

I hope we agree on this .

Comrades , if Marcos Junior wants to create confidence in his integrity , he can start by paying the 203 Bn estate tax owed to the government and the Filipino people. Attached is a link to the SC decision that has been ruled with finality .

https://elibrary.judiciary.gov.ph/thebookshelf/showdocs/1/34897

He can also jail his mother who has been convicted of graft and corruption by the Sandiganbayan

Would anyone care to bet on the chances of this happening ?

America is loosing its grip as an international superpower, the war between Ukraine and Russia proves that.  Hell nilaglag nga nila ang Ukraine after making promise na tutulungan nila(US and NATO).

Even USD is slowly not as a main source of trading currency.
