I have seen two videos related to the Hidden Wealth. The first video was by an investigative journalist team who visited each property with a price tag on the Hidden Wealth list.  The more recent video shows proof of deterioration over years of neglect and legal sequestration. You can compare their value when Marcos was still in power and how much it was devalued after People Power politics prevented its use and transfer.

The real estate collection from the recent video look like what Clark airbase was after looters pillage the former Amercan base.  Search for videos since the first one was publicly disseminated.

Sorry sir. If its coming from youtube, im not gonna fall for that. Im looking for clear and actual evidence of this.

Anak ng tipaklong.  Where do I begin?  Mga style Thinking Pinoy to.  Jumbled up words that seem to appear legitimate.  Pinaghalo ang facts and fiction para makauto.  May pa name drop pa ng institutions like SGV and CNN to have a semblance of credibility.  Galawang troll.

1.  Debt has been around even before the removal of the gold standard.  If you are referring to the escalation of money printing, then I agree.  Everything else is BS.

2. It is idiotic that a US president would be the one offering this.  You have to be braindead to believe this.  Most of the debts were with multilateral organizations so a US President cannot represent all the debts.  Cory had an impossible  choice of a debt moratorium or a restructuring.  The problems left her by a greedy family (which you clearly acknowledge).  She feared that reneging on the debt would completely destroy our creditworthiness for generations.  So she opted for restructuring.  And she surely consulted multiple groups.

Dont name drop SGV.  WTF does an audit group know about debt restructuring?  Their financial advisory practice at that point wasnt even developed.   SGV is a great firm but let's be real here.  They've had crappy audits like the P2 billion debt they missed in PLDT decades ago.  Walang saysay kung nakipag usap o hindi nakipagusap kay SGV.

3.  That last spiel on the real estate bubble.  I cannot potah lol.

And this, ladies and gentlemen, is how a propaganda machinery convinced millions of people that their thievery of US10 billion dollars over 21 years wasnt so bad.  Because hey, if a holdupper left you a few bucks so you can get home makes him a saint, despite pocketing the rest of your belongings.

Thank you for this brother. I was just asking the original poster where he got this from coz I was going to ask my former profs in Ateneo. Will show him this as well! thanks again.

What about basic reading comprehension? They were part of the group that processed and documented the property purchases. Didn't say anything about debt restructuring. Investment houses do that.

Lol.  You are the one with reading comprehension issues.  Look at the passage that I was reacting to.  Obvious kung ano reference sa SGV dun.  Kausapin mo yung poster para pareho kwento nyo o tandaan mo kung anong troll account ginagamit mo para hindi ka nalilito.

Maybe there's more to it but this is the only mention I saw.

"What is bothersome is when Marcos was ousted, the hidden wealth was well documented and appraised to be at least 10 Billion dollars, mostly in US Real Estate.  It was SGV accounting firm that leaked the amount since the purchase was assisted by their outfit.  "

Personally, I don't believe the SGV will disclose something like this (assuming it's true.) Bean counters have their definition of integrity.

But your problem might be in the preceding paragraph where debt burden was mentioned, and the rather bad segui to property purchases in the second. I can understand that.

Second and third paragraphs:

"...then president George Bush, the father of GWB, offered to repudiate all debts of the Philippines in exchage for this set of Hidden Wealth that the PCGG had an impossible task to liquidate.

This offer by a sitting US President was telecast worldwide. It was on CNN news feed then. But Cory was not shrewd. If she had accepted the offer, then Filipinos would have become debt free.  As a debt free nation, we would have automatic high credit rating and Filipinos can have fresh borrowings much"

Now this part's crap. The US is/was just one of the country's lenders. A sucker lender repudiating (wrong word) a borrower's debts is just giving away money. The Philippines should REPUDIATE the loans, or re-finance, or offer new loans to pay off old ones. BUT GO AFTER THE ILL-GOTTEN ASSETS REGARDLESS. Sheesh some people think they know finance.

As for you, you still don't get the SGV connection. ;)

Comrade, it's very hard for some people to differentiate shit from shinola. They prefer to believe in  an alternative history with NO proven historical facts to support their delusions. They believe in crap like this because it suits them and reinforces their belief. If and when Marcos Junior declares that EDSA was an injustice and that the Marcoses are not villains but martyrs , they will LAP IT UP and take it as bible truth. Wanna bet ?

Bro, it has already began.

the purge of the atrocities of the marcos era is slowly being wiped starting with whatever is on the web.

(I guess we’ll see if what is on the web will truly be forever there)

They even published an alternative hard cover on the golden era, or was it the martial law period.

the new generation who had never experienced nor lived it will surely lap it up.

thinking that its the real history

sadly, its happening while we’re still in duterte’s term.

well Marcos Junior was able to escape scrutiny during the elections. But right now all eyes will be focused on him to see what he will do. Tho 31 million voted for him the 15 million more discerning voters will be wary and critical of his moves .

The local business sector  will also be keeping close tabs and the international community too.

Madaling manalo pero ngayon paano?  Kaya ba niya ang pressure to lead ? Does he have enough political acumen to survive? Mag lalabo labo ang mga kampo ni GMA , The Marcoses , The Aranetas, the Dutertes.

Everyone will be itching to outdo each other for a piece of the pie.

Still waiting for your cabinet announcement . This will REALLY show if you're serious about :

1) Helping the country burdened by historic debt and rising inflation

2) Leading the country by choosing qualified , experienced and respected authorities in their field

3) Simply go the "bayad utang" route ( Sara Duterte as DEP Ed sec ? wtf . Her publicist says her qualification as a mother deeply concerned with the education of her kids simply won't wash )

From Yahoo's Marvin Joseph Ang  23 Mat 2022 :

President-elect Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos, Jr. is entrusting the education portfolio, a government agency beset by numerous challenges, to his running mate and Vice President-elect Sara Duterte-Carpio when their term begins.

The Philippines, even before the pandemic, has long been in crisis. Despite having the biggest chunk of the annual budget, classrooms are still lacking, the infrastructure needed to cater to a good educational environment is moving crazy slow, and teachers don’t get paid adequately with the kind of workload that is given to them.

But in 2016, many welcomed the appointment of Leonor Briones as Secretary of the Department of Education (DepEd). Briones, a professor emeritus of the University of the Philippines Diliman’s National College of Public Administration and Governance, and lead convenor of watchdog group Social Watch Philippines, is an expert on governance and budget, and the former National Treasurer under Former President Joseph Estrada.

Many hoped that, with Briones’ expertise in budget and public policy, the Department will be headed in the right direction.

Bro. Armin Luistro, her predecessor and the chief implementer of K to 12, hailed her appointment, saying, “She brings with her a wealth of experience in public finance and administration which would be beneficial to DepEd, being the agency with the largest budget.”

Meanwhile, during her confirmation as secretary, then chairman of the Senate Education Committee, Senator Bam Aquino, calls her a true champion of education. “Based on her accomplishments alone, she is qualified for the job,” he said.

In her first few months, she said that she will take on the challenges in DepEd, including continuing to build on what Former Sec. Luistro had done, including the implementation of K to 12 “while adding her own vision, perspectives, and initiatives.”

But almost six years in, it seems that the incremental change in the department under Briones’ tutelage is being overshadowed by the full-blown crisis that is brought about by the pandemic. And it is even more frustrating, if not extremely infuriating, that her successor will be someone who has no experience in the education sector, much less an educator herself.

Sara Duterte, who initially wanted the post of Secretary of National Defense, has been appointed by Marcos to lead the education department. And while Duterte has graciously accepted the appointment, it cannot be overlooked that this is the first major disagreement between the two parties, whose coalition as everyone has noticed is hanging by a thread.

She will inherit an educational system barely on life support, with the Philippines being the only country in the whole world that has not yet physically opened its schools since the pandemic hit in March 2020. This, on top of the existing challenges, will be an uphill battle and shall require someone with the right credentials and expertise.

But Duterte, like a good soldier (at least for now), said that she’s ready to rumble. In January, she expressed her plans of requiring two-year mandatory military service for all Filipinos aged 18. She cited countries like South Korea and Israel as examples and justification for her proposition.

But unlike the two countries, the Philippines is not in a state of war. South Korea has been in an armistice agreement with North Korea and war could break out at any time, while Israel is constantly in tension with Palestine and other neighboring countries. If instilling discipline and patriotism is her primary objective, then there are myriad ways to achieve these without subjecting our youth to military training.

And although she dismissed fears of her critics that revising history is far from her plans for the department, there is no assurance of this. It is in her interest, as well as her president, to do it in order to conceal their families’ crimes from the Filipino people.

The education department is too important for someone with very little to no experience to handle it. And if the incoming administration will insist on this appointment, then it is already safe to assume that it is a lost cause already

Dear Bongbong,

"History is written by Winners"

You're family were written off by all the administrations (except Duterte) after your father step down as the president, branded as evil, condemned and driven out of the country.

Now that you've won - you can prove them wrong and lead the path where once the Philippines were known as one "Asia's Rising Tiger".

And by then maybe the History maybe rewritten.

God is the real author of History.  When people tamper with the Truth, it has a way of correcting the lies. The NAZI propagandist was already on trial at Nuremberg when he declared that history is written by victors.

Anyone can write history or her story. Yet Truth is possible only with God. Thus people who followed the example of NAZI propagandists somehow end up like the author of that quip that history is written by the victors. Meaning they fail and everyone knows better what they ended up with.  Victor or not, they wind up dead awaiting divine Justice.
