What would make students study harder?

From personal experience.

The answer is hunger.

But not too much. At least you must be half full at least.

If you are in that situation the problems on a piece of paper is a joke.

 

In those days I didn’t even care about whether I’ll pass or not. I just read the books as a distraction.

Never knew it will take me far. It took me up real far.

imo, reduce the actual time of school hours. Need talaga ng life balance. Masyadong nasusuya ang mga estudyante sa haba ng oras, araw-araw info overload. Enforced masyado ang pagsisipag

In Finland, students only goes to school for 3-4 hours. Result - #2 highest performing graduates and #8 in overall- most educated country in the world.

Dito sa pinas, pasok ka ng 6am, uwuwi ka ng mga 5pm tapos may homework ka pa. Minsan talaga parang stressful yung system dito.

They have to be taught the essence of learning, hindi yung para lang sa grades or recognition. If sila mismo ang maka intindi dun, sila na rin mismo ang magpupursige mag aral, hindi yung napipilitan lng sila.

And let them pursue their own interests. They are their own persons. Masyado kse controlling ang mga parents minsan...

Agree dito, lagi nasusukatan yung mataas na grado. Hanggang ngayon kadalasan pa din ng siste yung magkabisado, pero  hindi na minsan naituturo yung konsepto.
