sana ipatupag to and walang loophole, matagal na kasing may anti-dynasty law, may mga butas lang kasi eh.

AFAIK wala pa.  Me provision sa saligang-batas, pero ipinapaubaya nya sa Kongreso kung paano ipatutupad yun (which is wala pa rin AFAIK).

To me, such effort for anti-political dynasty law will be a very uphill battle which will be futile.

The Estrada dynasty is on life support. JV has an outside chance but with 5% of uncounted votes left, it may not be enough to overcome Binay's lead.......

Just goes to show that PERFORMANCE , not family name, is the new black.

Abby Binay ran her campaign based on her accomplishments and future plans for Makati.

Junjun Binay ran his campaign on the theme "Alagang Binay" and traditional KBP (Kasal. Binyag. Patay. --- Ninong sa Kasal, Ninong sa Binyag, Lamay sa Patay.)

Guess who won?

Why did their father lost?

Probably he was too busy helping out Abby that he neglected his own campaign in District 2.

Correct. In the context of Imee and son, the name counted but it was more of the performance and track record.

I heard that Abby is not corrupt. If I were in Makati, I would have voted Abby.

Abby showed what a real city administrator should be.

She streamlined the business processes in the City Hall. Public Works were started and completed on time.

But during the filing of candidacy, many of the previous  city council members abandoned her to support Junjun Binay because she does not practice political patronage.

Makati citizens took note of that and rewarded her with their trust.

Ganito kami sa Makati.

I agree with you.

As long as members of these political dynastic clans subject themselves to democratic election, perform their jobs when elected, keep their family committed to serving for the good of their constituents, no issues for me.

Because there comes a tendency to develop a mindset that the future, fate, or destiny of a locality or territory is tied to the well-being or wisdom of a person or a family . . .
