i don't use gloves. I just use chalk to keep the bar from slipping from my hands during deadlifts and rows

I recomend the gloves with "grip assist flaps" that works like straps manufactured by Harbinger. I was able to purchase mine in Waltermart Quezon City.

No, most of the equipments are well padded nowadays.

But most bars and dumbells are still crafted with rough steel bars :rolleyes:

Effective??? the fact I managed to pull 315 for reps with chalk, then it must be effective :D

Actually, it's called resin powder. It adds friction. Friction means more grip and less slips.

yes...gloves really help prevent calluses...not completely though...

i have seen people use neoprene pads instead of gloves...

To be honest, I've never really encountered a situation where a woman finds callous hands a turn-off. In fact, some women actually find it a bonus since they know their man is masculine enough for them
