paano m maapreciate ang buhay kung walang kamatayan... katulad ng pagaabaang natin sa araw dahil may gabi.. tulad ng pagppahalaga natin sa tag-ulan dahil may tag-araw..

well you may choose immortality if you are rich, healthy and powerful but I think it would be a curse to live this life if you're oppressed, chronically ill and poor... :zorro: :goatee: :goatee:

I'd take more years as long as I knew my mind would be around to keep me company. But I wouldn't do anything extraordinary to extend it.

I say, let the life weary go, if they so desire. As f0r myself, I choose being for as long as possible.
I believe many close to death accept the inevitable willingly, because they are weary, and it is all that they can do anyhow. I hope I go down fighting against it, but one never knows, after all.

Based on Christian teachings,

So kung gusto mo maging immortal, might as well have faith.

Our life on earth is but a preparation of the life to come.
I can't imagine life without the vision of immortality. maybe,
i will do anything imaginable without the premise of doing good
or bad. anyway, i will never be judge by anyone including God.
without the belief of immortality, there will be so much chaos
and immorality in this planet earth.

by the way, if i don't believe in immortality, i lost nothing; but if
there is eternity (and i'm sure of it), and i don't believe it, i lost

Immortality... if given the chance I woud take it. This would give the chance to do the following:

a. change the world (since infinite ang time mo so no deadlines)
b. protect the weak (since you won't die kahit barilin ka.. so kick them abusive people's arses)
c. share what you have to everybody (yourself and everything ;)).

Like most movies have already shown, immortality actually sucks. A lot of immortals usually wished for one thing... that's to die. Meron magandang anime dyan, yung "Code Geass"... about immortality and power..

exactly. we live to die. if we can't die, why the hell are we alive for? it's like masturbation without the orgasm.

I just watched Hancock (starring Wil Smith) earlier today.

Of course, everything that happens to us has two sides.

Yeah, immortality sounds stupid and close to impossible,
But again, I'd rather see the good side of getting to live forever.

Clean up the world, help society's oppressed people in my
own little way....so much can be done fearlessly, no need to cower
about bullets, blades, plague, famine, epidemics, and just about anything
that can hurt mankind.

Immortality has it's charms but I wouldn't mind living my life as if it would be the last day I'm here. Life is sweeter knowing that you aren't here for long.

I only live until a certain time, each waking moment is a gift. And yes, I'd choose to be mortal, it makes me treasure each and every moment with family and friends.

I'll tell you a secret. Something they don't teach you in your temple. The Gods envy us. They envy us because we're mortal, because any moment might be our last. Everything is more beautiful because we're doomed. You will never be lovelier than you are now. We will never be here again. Achilles, Troy, Brad Pitt

I dont think Immortality is for me. It would take out the thrill in life because you wont think much of your decision knowing that you have an eternity to correct it. The essence of life for me is choosing a path, standing by the path you chose and never having the feeling of could be/would be/should be.
